We couldnt believe that it was a village. The buildings for the farmers were very beautiful, the streets were very clean and there were many flowers in front of the houses. In the middle of the village there was a school with a wonderful building and a large playground. All the children in the village study there.

The farmers got richer by planting vegetables and raising silkworms. In their houses there were colour TV sets, fridges,washing machines, new furniture and even motorbikes. All these showed the farmers life was getting better and better.

The Importance of Details

"The devil is always in the details" is a proverb which means that details determine our success. Therefore, this quotation aims to tell us that every detail is important enough to be paid attention to.

Some people may think that one who wants to achieve great success shouldnt pay much attention to details，but those who desire to do something big at once will constantly be haunted by disappointment, frustration or even failures，as when something big " shows up，they can hardly seize the opportunity because of the lack of ability to deal with small things. Keeping an eye on details may help us in many ways. Movie is my favorite that I always watch movies when I am free. Since I like English very much, so the English movie is my favorite, too. Among so many films I have watched, the one I like best is High School Musical. This film tells the stories about two high school juniors from rival cliques – Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a beautiful and shy transfer student who is a hard working girl. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical. It is known to all that robot is invented by human being and it is just the program set by scientists. What the robot does will follow the program, theoretically, it has no life and won’t have self-consciousness. I had a great time throughout my may day holiday.

On monday, i went bbq with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principles flat. our parents were invited to the party. everybody was excited about the holiday. i ate a lot of delicious food at that time.

On tuesday, i went visiting my uncles family with my parents. we went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in shanghai. later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. we stayed for the night.

On wednesday, i went shopping with my cousins. we bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. in the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. they also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so i tried to do some turning and parking. it was not easy first. but i learnt quick.

From friday on, i started to finish up my homework assignments on my personal laptop. some of my assignments were quite boring. after i finished the homework, i emailed them to my teachers. that was the end of it. i started to prepare things for school on this coming monday.

On Sunday morning, my parents took me to the zoo. We dint go there for a long time.

Last week, my classmates told me that the zoo added some funny entertainment facilities. I was very curious. So, I asked my parents to took me there and they promised to. We got there at 9 oclock. There were many people. Most of them were parents and children.

We first went to see the animal. I like parrots most. And then we saw the animal shows. Elephants, tigers, lions and monkeys did wonderful shows for us. People were happy, especially the children.

After that, we went to experienced the entertainment facilities. My mum was too scared to be with us. So, only my dad and I played. It was so exciting, but I was a little dizzy. However, I was very happy.
