也许秋天是一年中最宜人的季节。天气既不太热也不太冷。这是最好的时间去旅行。

上个星期天我们去了乡下。到处都是金色的小麦田里/地里满是金色的小麦。大,色彩鲜艳的苹果和梨挂在树上。我们可以看到一些农民正忙着在田里的农作物,和其他人挑选水果树下。所有的篮子都充满了可爱的水果。这也是农民劳动的果实。“没有痛苦,没有收益。“什么华丽的/漂亮的照片(这是)!好像我们徘徊在灿烂的/美好的世界。

我爱秋天。我爱收获时间。

黄猫，在我家已经呆了五、六年了，在我眼里，它就是一个小可爱！

小可爱长得胖胖的。每天，它吃的东西可多了，什么小鱼呀、饭团呀、肉呀……一概来者不拒。每到吃饭的时候，它会匆匆忙忙地准时跑到我家厨房，“喵—喵—”一个劲地叫唤不停，一直等它吃饱喝足，它才会停下来，慢慢走到厨房外，用舌头舔舔身上的毛，舔舔爪子，舔舔肚皮，舔舔尾巴，好像在跟自己梳妆打扮呢！看到它那副惬意的样子，真是让我忍俊不禁！

小可爱真会享受。它爱睡大觉，天凉，它就睡在当阳的地方；天热，树荫下就是它休息的好场所。椅子上，书桌旁，墙角边……时常会看到它小睡的憨态。它休息的地方，有的是你想都想不到的。这天，妈妈给我买了一盒动物饼干，那也是小可爱的最爱。于是，我来到屋外去唤它，可是，一改往日，任我怎么叫唤都不见它的身影。“也不知道野哪去了，有好吃的也不知道应一声！”我正准备转身回去，忽然听到一米多高的柴火堆处传来“喵—喵—”的叫声，循声望去，小可爱立在高高的柴火堆上，伸了一个大大的懒腰……“原来躲在这里啊，有你爱吃的，快下来！”我朝它扬了扬手中的饼干。它像听懂了似的，立马跳了下来，围着我这儿闻闻，那儿嗅嗅，还在我的腿上蹭来蹭去，看到它那撒欢的模样，我不禁莞尔一笑。

小可爱很淘气。沟里的米虾，地上的树叶、稻草，妈妈的线团……都是它经常玩弄的东西。它喜欢在木桩上磨爪子，喜欢到处跑来跑去，一会儿蹲在围墙上，一会儿又跳到屋顶上四处张望，一会儿又去捕蝴蝶、赶小鸟……每天浑身都是劲。就算遇上邻居家的大黑狗，它也敢斗一斗。只见它眼睛瞪得又大又圆，死盯着大黑狗，还发出“呜—呜—”的声音，似乎在向大黑狗，警告大黑狗不要靠近它。人家大黑狗却仿佛没看到似的，依然朝它走来。突然，只见小可爱露出尖牙，发出“咝—咝—”的声音，用锋利的爪子猛地把大黑狗的鼻子抓出了几道口子，大黑狗猝及不妨，痛得“嗷嗷”叫，便跑开了。再看看小可爱，却还站在远处，死死地盯着大黑狗远去的方向，好像时刻在等待大黑狗的反扑。

这就是我家的小黄猫——小可爱。在爸妈看来，这只猫不逗人喜欢，吃得多，还淘气，又没看它抓着几只老鼠。但在我的心里，它一直都是那么可爱，那么真实，我喜欢它！

夏天，太阳炙烤着大地，路旁的荒草丛几乎要燃烧起来，空气中弥漫的热浪，让人喘不过气来。没有一丝风，河岸边的柳树垂下了头，路旁的美人蕉几乎都要枯萎了，唯独那可爱的三色花，挺立着自己细细的腰枝，开着鲜艳的花朵，真是早开的红梅——一枝独秀呀!

Leviathan, Or The Whale, traces British author Philip Hoares fascination with the marine mammal, which he calls "a living thing past our comprehension".

As he travels the world in pursuit of the creature, he compares his findings to Herman Melvilles Moby Dick. US journalist Jacob Weisberg, who led the panel, said Hoares passion for his subject was infectious. The authors prose "rises to the condition of literature", he added.

In explaining his fascination, Mr Hoare said: "This wonderful mysterious creature so elusive." "Theyre so under threat from climate change, from noise pollution," he went on.
