Why this? Our country has a large area of forest. However, not until recently did the government begin to realize the importance of protecting the forest. Pollution: a Social Problem

When we read newspapers, we often come across the word pollution. This word was not familiar to the people some decades ago. But now, it is a serious threat to usbecause. it means the poisoning of the air, seas, rivers and lands, which would do harm to our health.

There are many factories that bring pollution to us. We can not have fresh air in the morning. This is mainly because of the poisonous smoke coming from factories, especially chemical ones. In rivers, seas and oceans, there are industrial wastes. Some factories just throw their wastes into seas or let them flow into rivers. When people drink the water from such rivers, they get poisoned. Besides, there is rubbish from ships and when sometimes an accident occurs in an ocean, oil flows out from tankers.

On land, the accumulation of rubbish in the streets may dirty the city and ruin our health. This is mainly due to the improper disposal of rubbish by people.

If we do mot fight against pollution, surely one day all of us will be killed. Some people like to put the blame on the industrial revolutions. On the contrary, the pollution problem will be solved only with the help of modem science and technology.

There are many advantages of smiling. It can not only make us happy， but also please others. If we smile at life， life will smile on us in return. So I want to smile at all whenever and wherever possible，First， I would like to smile at my parents because they have given me life and take all the trouble to bring me up. They arrange almost everything for me. With their help， I have made great progress. I would like to say “Thank you” to them with a smile. In orderto earn academic titles, some teachers plagiarize others academic papers; in order tograduate smoothly, some college students plagiarize others graduation papers. First, college authorities put too much emphasis on papers while conferring academic titlesand graduating students. Second, modern technology makes it unprecedentedly easy to getinformation and materials. Some plagiarists who are morally corrupt cant resist thetemptation and decide to take risks. Third, the system of censorship and penalty are farfrom being strict, encouraging plagiarism to some extent.

Nowadays ther are a lot of false advertisements in society. They have caused many harms to society. Generally, their harms can be listed as follows. First, they exaggerate the functions of the goods they advertise and mislead consumers. Second , some advertisements contain obscene contents and bring about spiritual pollution. Third, they seriously damage the credit of businesses because the shops which sell those goods will be distrusted and even considered the conspirators of those advertisers by consumers. Personally, I am usually vigilant against any advertisements and so I have never been taken in. However, some people are credulous and are easily taken in. Therefore, in my opinion, effective measures must be taken to ban false advertisements and protect consumers interests. First, all the advertisements must be strictly censored by the authorities concerned before they are published. Besides, severe punishment must be inflicted on those who publish illegal advertisements. In conclusion, false advertisements must be eliminated in our society.

我在这里写的是一位普普通通，平凡得不能再平凡的人民教师，５０来岁，由于终日为我们不辞辛苦的操劳，脸上布满了皱纹，她的两眼黑得发亮，锋利的目光，仿佛要把什么刺穿似的。我有点害怕。她只教我们还不到四个月，但是，每当我想起她时。她对我们的严就像教练训练运动员那样一丝不苟；她对我们很关心，体贴，就像对待自己的儿女一样。 但是，那一次，我尽对她起了怨恨。那是一节自习课，英语老师让同学们把作业本Ａ订正好交到办公室去批改，作业本Ｂ作好的也去批改。我怀着喜悦的心情拿着作好的Ｂ去批改，＂报告＂＂进来＂她的声音很平稳，我走了进去，队伍并不长，我跑到英语老师右边去批改，无意间发现了电脑里有语文竞赛的成绩，我便很期盼得到自己的成绩，不听话的手尽往鼠标地区前行，不经意间，我触摸到了，这下手更不听使唤，一直往下翻动着，＂啊＂我目瞪口呆，倒数第三，我的喜悦心情沉淀了下来，＂谁呀，谁在动我的电脑？＂一声果断而又严厉的语言向我发起进攻，我吓了一大跳，我心里想：哎呀，这下怎么办呀，不如来个死不承认，或者，英语老师的教棒在桌上＂吃吃＂作响，＂把手拿过来。＂我害怕极了，真想使用一下神仙的仙术，把英语老师的教棒变成长长的棉花棒，只有我能看见，而老师看不见，软软的棉花棒触摸了我一下，＂哇！＂教棒落下来了，打得好痛呀，我有点生气，心里暗暗想着；你这个老太太，太坏了，我只不过碰了一下鼠标，看了电脑屏幕一眼，也不过如此，您竟打我，只要教育几下就行了嘛，我可是个怕痛的女孩。我心中的怨恨一直不能平静。但刚想完，那教棒的滋味和对老师的怨恨跑掉了，我寻找着，发现它屹立在英语老师身上展现出来的无可抗拒的人格魅力上。

她总穿着比别人温暖的衣服，长得虽不出众，但是她的人格魅力在我心中是最出众的，那一次英语课，因我们作业做得不好，而被英语老师斥责了一翻，最使我深受教育的是这样一句话：我做事情，要做就要做到最好。＂这声音在教室里久久回荡，震撼着我的心灵。一颗＇作一个高尚的人＂的种子便埋下了，自从那节课后，我猛然发觉自己长大了好多好多，幼稚正向我告别。我的心底默默地感谢这位教我如何做人的英语老师。

那年，我出生，睁不开朦胧的双眼，只听见你激动的声音，喊我为宝贝。 In the year, I was born, I couldnt open my hazy eyes, I only heard your excited voice, and called me as a baby.

那年，我满月，发不出稚嫩的童声，只看见你忙碌的身影，抱我在手心。

那年，我记事，我开始学会用眼睛领悟世界;用声音描绘画面;用动作构造情节，用各种表情表达我的喜怒哀乐;用各种方式表现我的独特才艺。就是这样的一个什么都不懂的孩子，现在已然变得稳重、细心。而你就是我的北斗星，夜夜陪伴着我，照亮着我，我的父亲。

回忆幼时，只记得你的力气很大，总是能一只手就把我抱起，那时候，觉得父亲好厉害。你总是让我骑在你的脖子上，带我逛遍整个街道，爬的高高的我很自豪，你真了不起。当邻居提到你的时候，我总是自豪为你竖起大拇指，站在一旁的你则也很欣然。每晚睡觉前，我都会挠你痒，而你也会以其人之道还治其人之身，所以房间里时时有着我们的叫声，但最终你都会败给我，然后说我好棒，并给予奖励。可后来的我才知道，你根本就不怕痒，你那么厉害，怎么会不了我一个小鬼呢?你让我从小就体会到了当胜利者的喜悦和失败者的苦涩。

我喜欢水，特别喜欢玩水。因此，那时候的我衣袖几乎是从来没干过，春夏秋冬皆如此。你来了，摸了摸我湿透的衣袖，意味深长的告诉我：水是生命之源。我傻傻的站着，听不懂，但似懂非懂的笑了点点头。继而继续玩水，而你在这个时候却打了我，那是我印象里你第一打我，看到你一脸严肃，我好害怕，那是你第一次那么凶，我哭了，哭出了声音，惊动了奶奶。奶奶匆忙赶来，搂我在怀。你却并没有收敛，而是冷冷的说了一句：3秒内给我住嘴。我不停的抽泣着。我不敢看你，因为你第一次让我知道了害怕，我只能躲进奶奶温暖的怀抱。蓦然回想，的确应该珍惜水资源，不应该浪费。

那年，我正处在青春期，很叛逆，特别爱唱反调，还和班上的坏学生在一起，结果，人生大跌股，成绩下降了几十个名次，而我却不以为然，依旧我行我素。对于你的教导，我不仅不听取反而开始破口大骂，你很宽宏，不跟我计较并且开导我、教育我，受到你的熏陶后，我的性情也有所了改变，成绩也从新步入了轨迹，你真的很了不起，为你竖大拇指也是理所应当的。

如今，我看着你，你乌黑的头发上已然增添了几缕白丝。那应该是你为我的担心所致。现在的你再也不能像小时候那样一手把我抱起了，你渐渐老了，而我渐渐长大，回想以前，我的小手拉着你的大手，多美好的画面，老茧布满了你的双手，那是你辛勤劳作的记号。

父亲，伟大的父亲，我的父亲。

童年，是一朵芳香四溢，一个装着小秘密的五彩缤纷的宝盒，一个色彩斑斓的，荡漾着欢笑的梦。

九岁，还是幼稚无知的我，从大人们的谈话中，我听到了一个陌生的字眼：世界末日。我不停的.用手比划着：“末”是结束的意思，啊!一阵冷气被我倒吸了一口，这不意味着世界即将就要毁灭了吗?寒毛直竖的我再也不敢想下去。

我鼓足勇气，脚微微颤抖着走向客厅，用蚊子大小的声音说：“爸爸，真……真的……有世界末日吗……”爸爸丢下一句：“那是当然啦!”然后哼着小曲玩电脑去了。

这时，电视突然传出一句：“大消息!大消息!中国北方干旱，南方发洪水!已造成严重的生态不平衡!”什么?生态不平衡?!我的眉头立刻紧锁起来，心中仿佛有一块千斤重的金刚石，久久不能平静。世界末日真的要来临了吗?

上学的路上，我坐在小轿车里，心中却是一阵忐忑不安，小脑袋瓜子里不禁想到：“要是马路中间突然裂了一个大缝，我和爸爸该怎样逃生?往左边?右边?还是前面开?

下了车，紧张的气氛似乎有浓了了几分。没有了汽车的保护罩，自保就难了!第一步踏上天桥，我心中就像十五只吊桶打水—七上八下。仿佛每时每刻天桥都在微微的颤抖着。下一刻，这座天桥就会塌下去。

晚上，我躺在床上，两眼空洞的望着天花板，渐渐地睡着了。

第二天，撕下昨天的日历，上面赫然写着“愚人节”三个字，我恍然大悟。

我时常摘下几朵童年之花，闻一闻那迷人心脾的花香，童年的傻事便重新降临与我的心头。珍惜童年，珍惜这好的时光。

Mike is bad at English. Yesterday, he had an English test. He failed again.

He dared not tell his mother the low marks. On his way home, it rained heavily.

So he got a good idea. Why not take the paper as an umbrella? He just put the

paper on his head and began to run home. When he arrived home, the paper was all

wet and almost torn to pieces by the rain. When his mother asked about the

marks, Mike showed the paper to his mother with an embarrassed smile.
