It was a hot day during my summer holidays in 2003. My mother and I got on the bus which would take us to the village where my grandma lived. It was so hot that I felt very thirsty. Then I began to think of the sweet big watermelons and other fruits in Grandma’s house. I could hardly wait to arrive there and see my grandma.

It took us one more hour to get there. When we walked into the house, Grandma was busy preparing lunch in the kitchen. I was so busy in the previous winter holiday for I am going to take the

university entrance exam in July this year. Everyday, I buried myself in

studying. I had to review each required subject and do lots of exercises.

Besides, because I did bad in mathematics and physics, I had to do much more

I really want to make some relaxation by listening to songs and watching funny series / movies. I guess I over use my eyes in the company, due to frequent overtime at the normal working days. My neck and my eyes feel terrible. I feel uneasy that I always dream a lot when I was asleep. The next morning when I woke up, oh, my god, I do not feel like doing anything at all, just feel headache. I hated to dream a lot in the sleeping time.

Sometimes I feel ashamed for my poor oral English. So many girls in our department can speak fluent English and absolutely do not have difficulty in communicating with foreign guys. 4. 养成积累词语的习惯

日记是对生活中方方面面的事情的描述和感想的表达，所以写日记要用到单词面很广，这就要求英语学习者在平时要养成积累单词的好习惯，而把记忆的单词运用到日记中更是起到温故作用。值得注意的是，在写日记时，我们都会遇到很多不会写的单词。这时千万不要就此止步，而要先空出来，或者用拼音代替，等一篇日记写完了再查词典不上所缺的单词，并且重点记忆这些单词。这是通过这样的方式，我们才能更快地积累单词和提高英语水平。

5. 英语日记中的缩写与省略

英语写作中经常会有缩略语，比如：Nov. / November. Apr. / April
