亲爱的游客朋友们，大家好！我是这次旅游的导游，大家可以叫我陈导游。我要提醒你们几点：你们不要乱丢垃圾，不要在城墙上乱涂乱画。如果有什么问题，可以请教我。祝大家旅行愉快！长城是修筑在陡峭的山岭之间的，它从东头的山海关一直修到西头的嘉峪关，全长共有一万三千多里。从远处看就像一条长龙趴在山脉上，所以又叫做：万里长城。 好，现在我们已经在八达岭上了，游客们，请看正前方有一块碑，上面刻有八达岭几个红字。大家可以把它拍下来，做为一个到过八达岭的留念。 请大家低下头，看看脚下的方砖，它是十分平整的，像很宽的马路，五六匹马可以并行。左右两旁是两米多高的垛子，每两个垛子之间的是了望口，供了望。每个垛子下面的是射口，供射击用。打仗时，屯兵们既可以自我保护，还可以保卫国家，真是一举两得。在顶上的是方形的城台，又叫烽火台。它还是战士们的堡垒。士兵们可以在里面居住。如果要告诉另一个堡垒有要紧的事，要保卫国家时，这个城台上就会点燃火焰，邻近的巡逻士兵见了，也会通报上级点火，就这样一个个的传下去。长城上便都点起了火，大家一起准备着作战。 大家看，古代劳动人民是多么的充满智慧啊！可是，这长城的修筑也是饱含了无数的劳动人民的血汗和劳动的呀！大家可能难以置信，其实这一块条石有两三千斤重的，相当于30多个小孩儿那样重。古代没有任何先进的交通工具，只靠着他们辛勤的汗水才得来的，不知有多少人们累到在长城下 长城还有很多有趣的地方，我说也说不尽，你们慢慢参观吧！汶村镇中心小学四年级:陈靖琦

Since I was small, I have heard about the Great Wall, it is very long, a lot of people come to Beijingto watch it. In China, there is an old saying“One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero”. As it is so famous, I want to the site when I have a chance. I see many pictures about the Great Wall on the books, I also watch it through TV.

Every time I see it, I feel so eager to reach there. My father traveled there once, he took many pictures, this is the first time I feel so close to the site. I must work hard, so I can have money to go to there.

天高云淡，

望断南飞燕。

不到长城非好汉，

这首诗也是为了感慨长城宏伟的气势而写的。

现在，长城已被列为世界遗产，我们大家可以拍一些照片作为纪念。

The Great Wall of China is called the "Ten thousand Ii Great Wall" in

Chinese. In fact, it s more than 6 000 kilometres long. It winds its way from

west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it

reaches the sea.It is one of the wonders of the world.The Great Wall has a history of over twenty centuries. The first part of it

was built during the Spring and Autumn Period.

During the Warring States Period, more walls were put up to defend the

borders of the different kingdoms.It was during the Qin Dynasty that the kingdom of Qin united the dif ferent

parts into one empire.

To keep the enemy out of his empire, Emperor Qin Shi Huang had all the

walls joined up. Thus, the Great Wall came into being.The Great Wall is wide enough at the top for five horses or ten men to walk

side by side.Along the wall are watchtowers, where soldiers used to keep watch.Fires were lit on the the towers as a warning when the enemy came.It was very difficult to build such a wall in the ancient days without any

modern machines.

All the work was done by hand. Thousands of men died and were buried under

the wall they built. The Great Wall was made not only of stone and earth, but of

the flesh and blood of millions of men.

Today the Great Wall has become a place of interest not only to the Chinese

but to people from all over the world. Many of them have come to know the famous

Chinese saying: "He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man."

The Great Wall is my dream place, today I came to the the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing.

We began to climb the Great Wall. The Great Wall was covered with a piece of brick, very smooth. The Great Wall is very wide, five or six horses can be parallel, like a wide and long street. Every section of the road there is a Beacon Tower, Beacon Tower used to light fireworks convey important military, such as the enemy occurred, table is connected, transmitting military.

I look much against the wall, the Great Wall looks like a long dragon winding prone in the lofty mountains and high ranges between stretch as far as eye can see, under the blue sky, the queue is mighty, magnificent. To the distance, the mountain peaks on the rolling, tree verdant. Like a sea of green. I looked down, only a car such as beetles, a pedestrian as ants.

Standing on the Great Wall, tread the brick, leaning on the wall of stone, it is natural to think of the working people of ancient construction of the Great Wall. No car, train, crane handling tools of ancient, two thousand or three thousand pound brick rely on ancient craftsmen a express to this steep mountains, its not easy! Dont know how many people are dead in the the Great Wall, because of the ancient working people have today this magnificent dragon.
