What is art? When people think about this question, they will naturally

think about all kinds of musical instruments or the great paintings in the art

museums. Art seems to so far away from the ordinary people, but I don’t think

English. First, I found it difficult to understand what I read because most

English words have more than one meaning. Besides, I found it difficult to write

in idiomatic English or put Chinese into idiomatic English. Finally, I couldnt

express in English orally because I had no opportunity to communicate with

native English speakers. Although I often read aloud, this didnt prove to be an

effective way to improve my spoken English. But I didnt lose heart in removing

these obstacles. I tackled English vocabulary in two ways. First,I tried to

understand and memorize the specific meaning of a word that appears in the

context. Second, I enlarge my vocabulary by learning the dictionary by heart. To

overcome Chinese English, I tried to think in English directly. Although I still

had no opportunity to communicate with native speakers, I improved spoken

English by listening to the English broadcast and writing English composition.

Water is a kind of liquid. It has no taste or smell. It is transparent, too. Water is useful and is important to us. Why? For example, we use water to water the plants. We use water to wash our face or to have a bath. We drink water or we will die…Water is also very important for China. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? Dragon Boat Festival is one the very classic traditional festivals, which

In the current society, with the rapid development of the Internet,

In conclusion, I believe the development of technology brings significant

With the improvement of our living standard， more and more people can afford a car. As a result，our roads are more often than not crammed with cars.

At the beginning of the summer vacation, our family of three returned to my

hometown, Shehong.

Back in Shehong, we stayed at my grandmothers house. One Friday morning,

my brother and I made an appointment to catch cicadas in the bushes downstairs

at their house because they have a lot of cicadas there. Before night, I rushed

Mothers Day Mother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with
