I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier. “Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800s, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past. However, happiness didn’t last for long. When M. Duval, Armands father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armands reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. I think Dumass last few lines about Marguerite being the exception, not the rule were quite true, and I also agreed with his view that while her lifestyle could not be condoned, we as a society assume that all of these type of women are cold and heartless, while this may not always be the case. A person can make the wrong choices in life when they are young, and try to redeem themselves, but sometimes past situations prevent them from changing their lives, even though they desperately wish to do so. This applies to both men and women in many different types of circumstances: involvement in crime; drug or alcohol abuse; gambling; prostitution; financial problems; poor marriage choices; etc. And this is the fact, which exists in the whole society.

As far as the other characters in the book, I think Marguerite was right in saying that no one truly cared about her, but only wanted something from her, the only exceptions being Armand and Julie Duprat. Of course, the Comte de G. and Comte de N. wanted her body and appearance. The Duke needed to “wake up and smell the coffee” and realize that she could never replace his dead daughter. If he truly cared, he could have helped her leave her lifestyle without “keeping” her himself. And lastly, Prudence was a blood-sucking leech who used Marguerite almost worse than the men. 前几天，教官对我们还是很好的，我们班都是站五分钟休息个十分钟什么的哈哈哈，别的班在站立，我们班在休息，别的班在休息，我们班还是在休息。而且，因为我们已经上了一个月的课，所以我们班的同学比起其他九个班来要活跃很多，休息的时候说说笑笑的。

到了第三天左右吧，教官开始狠了，记得我们班在操场上来回练习齐步走，教官不停的说：“原地踏步！一二一！齐步走！”“向后转！原地踏步！一二一！齐步走！”不停地走啊走，看着别的班都坐下休息了，我的心里好苦哇。后来，终于吹哨了，小伙伴们看了看表，我们班训练了四十多分钟没有休息！我只感觉两只腿都快要废了。好不容易拖着疲惫的身子回到家，洗了洗脸，吃过饭，我换上睡衣正打算抹芦荟胶时发现肩膀都被晒红了！那个心疼啊！

接下来的几天，我们班的训练都加大了强度，日照时间也越来越长，以至于我们一个个都被晒成了黑萝卜。会操前，我们班的训练情况好像并不是十分理想，这让我有些担心。会操前夕，别的班都在讨论要统一服装，什么白衣服黑裤子白鞋子啊，我们班偏偏要和别人不一样哈哈哈。因为我们班主任经常说的一句话：“我们和别人不一样。”既然他们清一色的黑白，那么我们班就怎么花怎么穿，最好是穿成彩虹的样子哈哈哈。虽然大家都是这么开玩笑的，但是会操那天早上大家都还是很有默契的穿了白体恤，只有几个同学穿着彩色的。班主任看到了虽然有些不悦，但也没多说什么，只让我们早点统一好班服、组服。

等啊等，终于熬过前九个班，到我们班了。所有人都打起了十二分的精神，认真的做好每一个动作。在弯道的时候，口号喊得无比大声，要知道，我们班在军训的时候意识都喊不大声，就算其他班不停挑衅，我们也无动于衷。但这次的声音，真的是吓到我了，这么大的声音，也只有我们这么有爆发力的班级才能喊得出来了吧。后来，结果出来了，虽然我们A班没有得到预期的内定的第一名，但是我们也拿到了第二名。而训练时一直嘲笑我们的八班却排在我们的后面，想想还是蛮解气的。要是我们班同意了服装、订好了口号，这个第一就非我们莫属了。

训练快结束时，我们全年段的同学们都围坐在地上，互相唱着歌儿，气氛十分活跃，真是有趣啊。

军训除了有烈日、严厉而又帅气的教官，还有可爱的同学们呐，不要用抱怨的眼光再看军训啦！

金华是生我养我的故乡，我对她，怀有一种说不出的爱。

要说名声，金华若是和北京、上海这样的大城市相比，还不愧煞！但我说，金华有自己独特的魅力，让人禁不住想要亲近它。
