Miandianwang， a well-known local fast-food chain， is still handing out takeout food in these PS foam containers， even though they should been phased out before December 31， 2000， under a Central Government decree. One of the waiters said in its outlet on Hongli Road on Monday that they are going to switch to environmentally friendly containers “some time in the future".

However， the Miandianwang outlet in Sams Club， which is affiliated with Wal-Mart， is offering take-out food in light brown containers which are biodegradable. Liang， a clerk with Sams Club， told Shenzhen Daily yesterday that the club required the Miandianwang outlet to do so in its contract.

According to Liang， all the departments in the club switched to biodegradable containers during the Spring Festival holiday.

Zhao Hua， with the energy division of the Shenzhen Municipal Economic Development Bureau， one of the five municipal government departments involved in the curbing of white pollution in the city， said on Monday that large companies and retailers like Wal-Mart and Vanguard have responded to the decree by switching to biodegradable containers. But she admitted that is just the tip of the iceberg in the seemingly endless war on white pollution in the city.

Zhaos bureau has met with four other relevant departments on several occasions. What they produced is not a feasible solution but an echo or rewording of the Central Government decree， according to Luo Wei from Shenzhen Municipal Legal Affairs Bureau， who is responsible for reviewing this “echo". When farmers add fertilizer to the soil to make plants grow better, or use poison to kill pests, poison is sent into the air, the water and the soil. When birds, fish and people eat the grain, drink the water or breath the air, harm will be done to their health.

The air in big cities is often made very dirty by cars and factories. Millions of tons of waste and poisonous gases are sent into the air with the smoke. In some places, little is done to make the smoke clean before it goes into the air.

Fortunately, people are beginning to realize just how serious the whole situation is. In many countries, laws have been made to stop factories from sending out poisonous gases.

就最近这几年来看，随着各地区的经济迅猛发展，环境污染问题也越来越严重，保护环境，维持生态平衡也成为了我们每个公民应尽的责任和义务，也是为了社会更好发展的一项重要举措！

何为环境？从哲学的角度来看，所谓环境，主要指我们所研究的主体周围的一切情况和条件。对于人来说，环境是指人生活于其中，并能影响人的一切外部条件的综合。人的生活离不开好的环境，在人类几百万年的历史进程中，环境对开创人类文明和进步发挥着巨大作用。

大气资源、水资源、土地资源等等，都是让人类得以生存的物质基础；而森林资源、矿藏资源等资源又为人类的不断发展提供物质，创造出地球上高度的人类文明。但是，人类在开发利用环境资源的同时，也对自己的生存环境产生了一系列环境问题。

在我们身边就有很多污染环境的污染物，例如说：大量的生活废弃品，塑料袋（也称白色垃圾），一次性木筷，一次性饭盒，果皮纸屑。污染物对环境来说，毫无疑问，肯定有很大的危害，例如动物的腐烂的尸体会影响环境卫生，而且还会滋生细菌。饭店、餐馆认为很卫生的一次性木筷，使用后随便一扔，影响了市容，破坏了环境。。

现在像我们柳疃镇、青乡乡，最近电网部门纷纷撤除喷水机器的使用。喷水机的使用对环境的污染更加恶化、污染了水资源对人们的身体健康危害甚大。人类的活动会使大量的工业、农业和生活废弃物排入水中，使水受到污染。又例如说，我们北部渤海湾受到工业、印染厂的废弃物排放大量鱼虾死亡，地区农民上海捕鱼，鱼的体内含有大量化学物质对人们的身体健康造成了危害。据资料统计，目前，全世界每年约有4200多亿立方米的污水排入江河湖海，污染了5.5万亿立方米的淡水，这相当于全球径流总量的14%以上。1984年颁布的中华人民共和国水污染防治法中为“水污染”下了明确的定义，即水体因某种物质的介入，而导致其化学、物理、生物或者放射性等方面特征的改变，从而影响水的有效利用，危害人体健康或者破坏生态环境，造成水质恶化的现象称为水污染。水的污染有两类：一类是自然污染；另一类是人为污染。当前对水体危害较大的是人为污染。水污染可根据污染杂质的不同而主要分为化学性污染、物理性污染和生物性污染三大类。

最近，我发现政府部门、昌邑环卫局开始大力整治环境，沿街排查污染源，青乡街也定点安置了便民垃圾桶，替代了原来垃圾围绕街道，臭气熏天的状况。各个村庄开始整治村内环境的污染源，使街道、村庄焕然一新！而这不是主要的，更重要的是我们每个人自觉保护环境，保护我们赖以生存的家园，为了我们更为了我们的后代，树立好榜样，奠基好基础，让我们的家园更加美丽、更加丰富多彩！

所以呢！环境与我们的生活密切相关，保护环境卫生从我做起，从现在做起：不随地吐痰；不乱扔垃圾；废弃电池和塑料袋要处理好；多植树造林，不践踏草坪；不污染水源。保护环境，我们有责！看你的行动喽！

小建议：家庭生活中的塑料瓶可以做成装饰品，可回收物品可以卖出，换来金钱买实用的东西岂不很好？一次性木筷消毒清洗一下可以做成装饰品，你也能开小店赚大钱了！化废物为贵宝，让自己的心情更舒畅，让自己的心灵更纯洁，让自己的家庭更温馨！

As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung cancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition will be damaged.

In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution. Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the action of protecting the environment. This is a good sign. Rivers are being cleaned, air is purified, and the people come to realize that the importance of protecting the environment.

However, this is not enough, the problems are still exist. Not all of them have been solved. Some factories are still pouring dirty water into the rivers or give off the toxic gas into the sky. We should know that protecting the environment needs everybody’s effort.

鸟类是和平的象征，我们要爱护鸟类。鸟类既能铺捉害虫，又能美化环境。

一个星期六的下午，我去哥哥家在途中的时候，看见几个人拿着枪在环视四周，不知道他们在干什么，忽然他们拿起枪就朝瞄准的猫头鹰打去，猫头鹰一命呜呼，掉下来被装进了网里，我还看见他们的网里面有其他鸟类，他们得意洋洋，嘴里还说着，今晚又有丰富的晚餐了。我听着非常愤怒，我想：还有成千上万的鸟都有同样的遭遇。有些人为了自己，为了利益，却白白的对鸟下狠手。而鸟类中许许多多的鸟对人类贡献那么大，可还遭人们的捕捉。

燕子是我们人类最重要的益鸟之一，一窝燕子一年要吃掉二十五万只害虫，猫头鹰一年吃掉一千多只田鼠，一只田鼠一年吃掉一公斤粮食，猫头鹰就为人类节约了一千公斤粮食。看似小小的害虫和鸟儿，但小数不怕长计。鸟类对人类做了这么多，却还要遭到人类的捕杀。

鸟类的作用那么大，还是人类的好朋友，我们不应该杀害他们，我们要从小养成爱护鸟类的习惯，鸟类美化环境，帮助庄稼丰收的更多，为什么还要为了自己的利益捕杀它们呢，别因小失大，让我们共同创建美好的家园。

保护环境，这个既简单有困难的话语，实现它只有靠自己，最近在《我爱祖国的蓝天》一书中，我看到了这样一句话：“因为人类没有环保意识，致使大气污染越来越严重，水资源危机日趋加深，土壤流失正逐渐加重，森林正一天天减少，许多动植物濒临灭绝，城市正越来越不适合人类居住……”

看到这，我不禁往往那已经不再天蓝，不再充满幻想的天空，它承载的全球60多亿人的希望。

所以保护环境，是使每个有道德的人所必须做的事，因为这个大环境是人类生存的宝贵的地方。人不仅来自于自然，也受之与自然。自然环境使人们赖以生存和发展的必要物质条件。当今世界，环境污染，生态平衡现象日趋严重。现在，全球森林正以每460万公顷的速度减少;地球上供优2亿人的生活在缺水区。我国近几年来，由于人们的环境意识薄弱，生态破坏严重，环境问题更为严峻。

1998年长江，嫩江，松花江流域的大洪灾以及近几年北京愈来愈重的风沙。特别是今年4月上旬，中旬的沙尘暴涉及的面积之广，风力之大，尘土之浓，持续时间之长，更是历史上罕见的。这一系列的自然灾害已向国人重锤击响保护环境的警钟。人类只有一个地球，自毁地球无异于毁灭自己生存的家园。树立环保意识已成为全世界各人民的共同要求。爱山爱水爱林爱鸟爱人类，护天护地护花护草护环境。
