My name is Li Hua. I was born in Dalian, Liaoning province in February 1977. I started school in 1984 when I was seven,and I studied in Guangming Primary School from 1984 to 1990. After that I went to No.6 Middle School of Dalian and graduated this summer. The main subjects ! studied at school included Chinese, Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry and Computer. I like English and Computer best and I am very good at them. Last year I won first prize in the school computer competition. In my spare time I enjoy listening to popular music and collecting stamps. My favourite sports are swimming in summer and skating in winter.

Many people believe that having a lot of money is the greatest happiness in

life. But I dont agree with them, because money is not everything. Money cant

make us a true man.

The way I see it, good health is much better than a lot of wealth. No

matter how much money we have, we’ll not feel happy at all if we are in poor

health. In order to be healthy, we must keep a positive attitude and have a good

living habit.

Apart from good health, we must be diligent at work. As long as we work

hard, we cannot just make a good living, but enrich our minds.

On the weekend I like to spend time in library. I like reading books. There

are many people in the library, but it is very quiet. Nobody talks in the room,

lot of books about space. Recently, I read the book Martian. It is about an

astronaut Mark left on the Mars alone, he did many things to keep himself alive.

After 549 solar days his crew mates came back to take him home. Mark is very

In my opinion, the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is too heavy. while it is true that students need to study, they need other things as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. high should be allowed more time for play. plying is not wasting time, as some think. it gives them physical exercise, and also exercise their imagination. which tends to be stifled by too much study.

Finally, the pressure put on high school students by excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress, which is unhealthy physically and mentally. i do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. i do think, however, that a reduction of the current heavy load would be beneficial to students and to the society as a whole.

My Roommates

I study in a high school, the school is far away from my home, so I have to live in the school. In conclusion, it seems clear that our city government has made more efforts to help the non-local workers, whose children can enjoy the equal right of a good education with the city

students. Also with the economic development of our city, more foreigners are attracted to set up businesses here and they are happy to send their children to local schools to learn more about China and Chinese culture. 每年五月初五，家家户户都要包粽子，我家也不例外。

端午节前几天，爷爷在菜场买来了几片粽叶，泡在水里。终于等到端午节这天了，爷爷把水倒掉，洗了一遍糯米，于是我们就开始包粽子了。粽子的形状很特别，它是一个立体的三角形。只见大人们把粽叶编成一个漏斗形，再用碗盛些糯米放进去。接下来可以放又甜又香的红枣、鼓鼓的肉团……再用红线裹紧，一个小巧玲珑的粽子就做好了。爷爷在煮的时候，厨房里总是飘来阵阵枣香和糯米香。我已迫不及待地在厨房门口，一次又一次地询问爷爷是不是快要熟了。

What’s the purpose of life ? What are we seeking for in our short lives ? For privilege,for money ,or just for enjoyment ? It’s the problem that everyone wants to explore. As a matter of fact , everybody needs a proper purpose in order to struggle against life . A clear purpose not only guides us but also gives us hope and energy .
