Thank you for a rapid response to our invitation. Enclosed you will find an outline of events to take place during International Week here at the University of Montana. I will also list a number of possible speaking engagements so that you can choose those things in which you are most interested. As far as topics are concerned, the topics for classroom visits are generally determined by the professor, but most professors are very flexible. We have approximately thirty-five faculty members that teach courses in Asian Studies, ranging from language and culture to history and economics.

10 am - Cultural Exhibition opens

12 am - International Festival begins with a speech by the university president and an introduction of visiting dignitaries

1-5 pm - Opportunity to visit festival, interact with student performers, taste foods

紧张了一学期的学生们迎来了寒假。但对初三的考生们来说，距中考还有短短的几个月，寒假是一个查漏补缺的好机会。在这短短的三周时间里，怎样制定复习计划，怎样在有限的时间里提高效率?

通过这学期的几次月考，发现了学生们普遍存在的一些问题，针对这些问题在寒假里进行针对性的训练是很有必要的。

1、单词掌握得不错，却不会在填单词的句子中运用，失分很多。

2、能记住重点句型，但不会灵活变换句式。

3、了解语法，却不会做时态填空。

4、能读懂短文，却做不对选项。

5、知道如何写作文，却在写作时漏洞百出。

6、选择填空马马虎虎。

7、听力很差，失分很高，尤其是分析题。

所以，针对存在的问题，为避免以后重现类似错误，为复习考试奠定一个好的基础，特做计划如下：

1、加强听力训练。希望同学们每天听一套跟中考要求一样的听力材料。就像中考听力一样要求自己。听完后核对答案。看看失分在什么地方。然后合上书再听一遍，锻炼自己的听力。坚持听上一假期，肯定有收获。

2、培养良好的写作习惯。每天背上一篇好的范文，写上一篇类似的作文，用上里边的好词好句，对于连词成句部分，不妨每天写上5个连词成句，摸索里边的规律，在做这个题的时候，先看看里边有什么词组，什么句型，这样写起来就不会摸不着头绪了，集中练上一段时间会有提高的。

3、养成阅读的好习惯。由于阅读在考试中的比重很大，所以要加大阅读的力度。每天都要练习两个阅读两个完形。做完后核对答案，对做错的题分析原因，对里边出现的生词或短语要记录下来，有必要的要背过，以此来扩大自己的词汇量。此外，要限定时间以此来提高阅读的速度和能力。

4、强化重点题型训练。针对单选题和完形填空题错误较多的情况，同学们最好在寒假里把老师上课讲的专项练习好好看一遍，把老师讲的重点例题弄懂弄明白。每个学校都有一本复习指导的书，把书吃透了，里边的题弄明白了就可以了。题要精不要太多。把自己常错的题写在一个纠错本上，经常看看巩固巩固。

5、增加词汇量。有的学生平常的词汇量很少，在做阅读完形的时候看不懂文章，短时间增大词汇量不太容易。但假期是个好机会，可以集中来记忆。可以把几本书拿来把上边重要的黑体字部分的四会单词分期分批地记忆，每单元的重要词组也要背过。再配合着题做一些词型变换的题，学会灵活运用。

6、做几套中考模拟题。要重视往年中考题，在假期里给自己规定时间来做几套中考模拟题，做做往年的中考题有特别的作用。因为每年的中考命题难度相对稳定，风格相对一致，做中考题有助于同学们摸清中考命题的“套路”，明确复习方向，最后找出自己的不足之处，作为下一次的努力目标。

I enjoy reading books very much, because there are lots of interesting

things in them. Two years ago, I didnt like reading very much. I had plenty of

time, but I spent lots of time on playing with computers. When I was very young,

I didnt think reading book was interesting, because I found nothing more

interesting than the computer games. Ive changed now. I enjoy reading novels,

I like playing basketball and in my opinion, he is the best basketball

player in China. When he started to play basketball in NBA, I was so excited

that I saw the news about him everyday. When he performed well, I was really

happy for him. When he did not, I hoped he could rearrange himself and did well

in the next game.

What’s more, his personalities attract me as well. He is kind-hearted and

humorous. He always smiles and is kind to very body, even his opponents.

Although he does not play basketball anymore, I still like him. I hope he can do

well in other fields as well.

Remember the day when I first came to the college. Being a boy of 17, I was longing for a new life as a college student; but, at the same time, I had no idea what college life would be like.

That morning when the bus carried me to the gate of the college. I was so excited that my heart was beating very fast as if it would leap out of my mouth. From now on, I would be a student of this college. After registration, we were led by an instructor to the dormitory, where, for the first time, we were going to live without parents but roommates. First of all, we should make a list about the things we need to do today. The chef thing to remember is to do the things which are extremely critical first. Second, be concentrated. For the people, they may lack of self-control, they are easily got distracted by other things, thus its important for them to do the things according to the list. There are a number of reasons for people to go back for their education. Some people，like Miss Li，are doing it to acquire another degree or diploma to impress the society. To them more knowledge，or rather，more credentials means more opportunities for better jobs and quicker promotion.

Other people，especially those who are laid off or out of employment go to vocational school to prepare to return to the job market. They are eager for new skills so that they can be qualified for the jobs in retail trade，administration，education and other service categories to which they are strange because most of them were blue-collar workers in the factory.

There are also people who come to take such courses as Chinese traditional medicine，painting，calligraphy and photography. As their working weeks decline people begin to have time to fulfill their old dream of their heart’s desire.

Out of necessity or out of interest，people go back to school for the common goal——to improve themselves，and this boom in adult education，in turn，helps to raise the intellectual standard of the whole country.

I like traveling on foot With my brother in holidays.
