现代民间习惯上把过春节又叫做过年。其实，年和春节的起源是很不相同的。

那么“年”究竟是怎么样来的呢？民间主要有两种说法：一种说的是，古代，有一种叫做“年”的凶猛怪兽，每到腊月三十，便窜村挨户，觅食人肉，残害生灵。有一个腊月三十晚上，“年”到了一个村庄，适逢两个牧童在比赛牛鞭子。“年”忽闻半空中响起了啪啪的鞭声，吓得望风而逃。它窜到另一个村庄，又迎头望到了一家门口晒着件大红衣裳，它不知其为何物，吓得赶紧掉头逃跑。后来它又来到了一个村庄，朝一户人家门里一瞧，只见里面灯火辉煌，刺得它头昏眼花，只好又夹着尾巴溜了。人们由此摸准了“年”有怕响，怕红，怕光的弱点，便想到许多抵御它的方法，于是逐渐演化成今天过年的风俗。

另一种说法是，我国古代的字书把“年”字放禾部，以示风调雨顺，五谷丰登。由于谷禾一般都是一年一熟。所“年”便被引申为岁名了。

我国古代民间虽然早已有过年的风俗，但那时并不叫做春节。因为那时所说的春节，指的是二十四节气中的“立春”。

南北朝则把春节泛指为整个春季。据说，把农历新年正式定名为春节，是辛亥革命后的事。由于那时要改用阳历，为了区分农、阳两节，所以只好将农历正月初一改名为“春节”。

送走了20__，我们迎来了20__。今天是新年的第一天，大家一定要开开心心，平平安安的!

People in China would always put dishes into customer’s plate to show their hospitality, but they will think it’s not healthy because your chopsticks have been used by you. The Spring Festival， Chinese Happy New Year，is the most important festival for all of us. All family members get together on Happy New YearEve to have a big meal.At the same time， everyone celebrates to each other.At about 12 oclock，some parents and children light crackers.The whole sky is lighted brightly. 过一会儿，爷爷走到我床前，“凡凡，起来，喝口糖水，祝愿你一年的生活都甜如蜜。”我乖乖地喝了一口红糖茶，嘴巴里立刻变得甜丝丝的。我想再睡会儿，爷爷说云云马上要来我家拜年了。太好了!一想到云云要来，我赶紧起床，我可不想等云云来了，我还赖在床上呢。我穿上粉色的羽绒服，黑裤黑靴子，妈妈给我扎了两个朝天辫，爸爸在一旁说：“乖乖，凡凡都像个大姑娘了，真漂亮。”

等我忙完一切，云云和她爸爸已经走进了爷爷的院子，天哪!云云今天更漂亮，大红的棉袄上面印着一个个长耳朵的小白兔，下面穿着粉色的裙子。云云一进门就说：“祝凡凡妹妹越来越美丽。”我赶紧拿出早为云云准备好的礼物—一盒德芙巧克力，包装袋里也有一只可爱的小兔哦。顺嘴说出：“恭喜叔叔工作顺利，祝云云姐学习更进步。”

我们俩走到爷爷奶奶跟前，说：“恭喜爷爷奶奶身体健康，万事如意。”爷爷笑着说：“祝你们俩像小兔子一样越蹦越高。”说着就发给我们一人一个大红包。我们俩一拿到红包，就赶紧出门找小伙伴们玩去喽。

一出家门，来到小巷口，正好看到一群小伙伴正在放爆竹。我跃跃试试，可又有点胆小，心想：万一刚点着就炸到我怎么办?不过，我还是战战兢兢地抽出第一支掼炮，点燃后把它抛出老远，然后掉头就跑，躲在墙角边，用力捂住耳朵。云云在一旁看到我这个胆小样子，和别的小伙伴们一起大笑起来，我觉得很没面子。就奔回家特地找了一个长长的烟花来炫耀，我用火柴点燃后“轰”地一声响，小伙伴们都吓了一跳，而我却从容地拿着烟花，得意洋洋地笑着，那个感觉可真叫爽啊!

不一会儿，我和伙伴们又一起玩起了鞭炮、烟花，我们一个个激动地叫喊着、奔跑着。真希望新年里的每一天都像今天一样热闹精彩啊!

Nowadays, there are many kinds of activities for people entertaining in their leisure time, especially in holiday, such as climbing a mountain, having a picnic, holding a party and so on. However, these recreational activities have its advantages but also bring some harmful influences to people’s lives.

First, to some extent, these recreational activities enrich people’s lives. Those who take part in different activities will not be easy to feel lonely or boring in their leisure time and live wonderful lives instead. Second, taking part in some group activities is a good form to strengthen friendships. For example, many students will hold a union to collect their old classmates or friends in winter holiday so that they have a common time to communicate with each other. Last but not least, such activities like climbing a mountain provide a good chance to do exercise.

However, these recreational activities also bring some problems at the same time. For one thing, taking part in too many these activities will increase the burden of themselves or their families because it is inevitable to spend some money in holding these activities. For another, some recreational activities have potential harm for participants’ health, particularly staying up all night, drinking and smoking.

Therefore, in my opinion, we have to make a careful consideration before we take part in these recreational activities.
