妈妈要上班的时候，给了我两块钱，让我出去放鞭炮。我拿着钱，飞奔到杂货店，买了几包安全的小鞭。开始，我胆子很小，只是一个一个的闲着放，消磨时间。可是，过了不久，我手里的香就熄灭了，真是让我无奈。我开始想着用擦纸擦响鞭炮，可是这么多的鞭炮只有这么小的一块擦纸根本也不够用啊?经过了我的苦思冥想，“噔”，我想到了一个好主意。

我把十二根鞭炮，一个挨着一个的围起来，然后把捻子尽量的连在一起，好像多米诺骨牌一样密密的排在一起。希望能达到点着一个，连响一片的效果。我小心翼翼的拿起最前面的一个，用擦纸擦着，再放回它原来的位置，然后捂着耳朵就跑的远远地观看起来。随后，事情果然像我预想的那样，一个接着一个的响了起来。“呯!呯!呯!……”看着有的鞭炮还被炸到半空中，凌空爆炸，我高兴的跳了起来，这样的玩法真是太爽了!

今天我玩得十分开心，真是爽歪歪了，哈哈!

说到春节，大家一定不会陌生，但“百里不同风，千里不同俗。”我们这里的春节别具一格。

到了腊月初旬，我们就已经闻到了年的味道，越来越浓。

腊月二十四，也就是小年，这一天，男的把家打扫的干干净净，女的做饭菜，还要接“祖佬”，吃好的，放鞭炮，非常热闹。

过了小年，就要开始准备过年的一些用品了，鞭炮、糖果、方便面……这几天是人们最忙的时候，虽然忙，但是心里依然是开心。

年三十这天早上，是男的起来煮饭吃。，小孩也起得早。天黑了，鞭炮声就响起来，漫天的鞭炮，把天都映成了彩色。

晚上吃了饭，我们一家人就在一起团圆守岁，大人还要开压岁钱给我们小孩子的。一家人嘻嘻哈哈的笑声，给春节增添了几道韵味儿。

All agree, however, that the word Nian, which in modern Chinese solely means year , was originally the name of a monster beast that started to prey on people the night before the beginning of a new year.

One legend goes that the beast Nian had a very big mouth that would swallow a great many people with one bite. People were very scared. One day, an old man came to their rescue, offering to subdue Nian. To Nian he said, I hear say that you are very capable, but can you swallow the other beasts of prey on earth instead of people who are by no means of your worthy opponents?
