My grade school days are the most wonderful time I have ever had. In those days I always wanted as eagerly to learn as a dog prowls about in search of food. The teachers taught me not only the three R’s but also the way to observe the world surrounding us. They laid more stress on observation than on memorization. Thus we had much time to talk over and trade our learning experiences. What excited me most during my grade school days, however, was to be out collecting specimens of the butterfly. 作为一个中国人，我感到了发自内心的骄傲与自豪，中国铁路的成功，再次向世人昭示，我们是勤劳的、智慧的，我们有志气、有信心、有能力不断创造非凡的业绩。我认为，中国各方面的飞速发展与各个时期国家整体的沉浮有着密切的关系。在民国时期，军阀混战、时局动荡，实在无法集中如此之大的人力物力来修建青藏铁路这样一条高科技、高成本的铁路，就更别谈经济的致富了。改革开放后，中国开始渐渐走上了正确的道路，中国不仅站起来了，还富起来了，不但带来了科技的快速发展，而且也带来了物资财富的增加，青藏铁路的修建，也就不再只是一个梦了。
