science and technology also play an important role in our socialist construction. we may say, our socialist construction is just like a skyscraper, while science and technology are its base. without the base, the skyscraper cant be built. therefore, we should try our best to contribute to the development of science and technology so as to provide a more solid base to build our country.

我们的祖国，从以前的贫穷走向现在的富强；从以前寸步难行的泥路到现在纵横交错的高速；从以前朴实单调的泥瓦房到现在鳞次栉比的高楼大厦；从以前的贫困地区到现在的繁华都市；从以前缓慢的信件传讯到现在高速发达的网络时代……这一切的一切都说明了我们的生活发生了质的变化。

经常听奶奶提起以前人们的生活，吃不饱穿不暖，还交通不便。就拿我爸爸来说，每天上学要走好几里的路，而且还要翻过一座山才能到学校跟“取经”似的。那时候不要说汽车了，就连我们常骑的自行车都寥寥无几。大多只能靠步行，如果天公不作美，再下个雨什么的，泥路就会变得更加难走。但是近几年老家的路发生了巨大的变化，从原来的泥路变成混凝土路，甚至有几段是沥青路呢！随处可见来往穿梭的自行车和悠闲漫步的人儿，上学也不用“望路兴叹”了！

交通便利了，这对我们太重要了。以前的泥路从市区开回老家至少都要两个半小时，下雨时开更慢，还容易遇上山体滑坡，现在修好的路，开车一个小时就到，也不会像以前那样常被山体滑坡阻挠了。以前到收获季节都要把稻谷挑好几里才能到家，现在人们上山收笋收菜之后只要把笋挑到路边摩托车油门一踩就到家了。真是太给力的。

大家都知道以前人们都是用“大哥大”进行通话，携带既不方便话费又贵，往往只有富裕的家庭才用的起。贫苦家庭的人只能挤在小小的电话亭里拨打电话，对远方的亲人哪怕有千言万语也只能寥寥几句，“争分夺秒”地倾诉思念。现在通讯方式发生了翻天覆地的变化：层出不穷的通讯工具，高速价低的网络媒体，打开了交流的地域屏障，我们常常能看到“煲电话粥”的画面，距离已然不成问题。

时代在进步，科技在发展，社会正在渐渐成为小康社会，我们的祖国更加的富强。

My Low-carbon life

With the development of society,low-carbon life becomes more and more important. Some people think it is very difficult to do.In fact,we can do a lot of things .

First, as a student,some of us can ride a bike to go to school, or walk to school every day.It can not only save energy but also it is good to our healty. Second,when we leave the classroom,remember to turn off the lights, so it can save electricity.And third, we can use the water circulary. Fourth,we can use the paper adequately .

I think if everyone does something for the low-carbon life,the world will become more and more beautiful.

新学期开始了，同学们都返回学校重新见面。他们正在谈论自己的暑假生活。我更高兴，迫不及待地想告诉他们我是怎么过的。终于轮到我，了，我告诉他们我暑假期间在一家餐馆当服务员。他们起初并不相信。“是真的。”我说，“刚开始时可惨了，但几天我就做得很好了。暑假我挣了600元钱呢。”他们都目瞪口呆地看着我。

a new term began. students all returned to school met again. they were talking about what they had done in the holidays. i was happier. i couldnt wait to tell my story. now its my turn. i told them i got a job in a restaurant. i worked as a waitress.

they didnt believe at first.

"yes, its true. "i said," i really had a hard time at the beginning. but several days later, i could do a good job. i earned six hundred yuan this holiday. "they all looked at me with their mouths open.

It has been two years since I first got to university. Some of my

classmates say that the college life is boring, because they have plenty of time

but do not know what to do. However, from my point of view, the campus life in

college is interesting and colorful as long as you make it meaningful.

In the first semester in college, I didnt relax and I still worked hard as

I was in the senior school. I usually spent two hours in study at night and I

went to the classroom forautonomous learning.But the difference is that I have

many extracurricular activities. For example, I went to the English Corner

regularly on Tuesday night, in which I could practice my spoken English and make

friends with common interests.

Besides, I join the Student Union of my department. In the Student Union, I

have a group of workmates who work hard together and support to each other.

Actually, it looks like a big, warm family that we can share our lives together.

During various activities, I realize the importance of team spirit that helps us

go further.

Finally, college is great stage to improve a student and show ones

abilities. In college, I know more about our society and get more channels to

explore the outside world. I realize that I am not only a student but also an

adult who is preparing to step into the society.

In short, I cherish my life in college campus and I will try hard to make

it colorful as well as meaningful.

During weekdays, I am busy, because I must go to school. I usually get up at 6:30 a.m.. And then I do some washing. After that, I will have my breakfast at 6:50. I usually go to school at 7:15.

工作日我很忙，因为我要去学校。早上我通常是6点半起床然后洗漱。之后，我6点50吃早餐。

Now, I can go to school and come home by myself. I have four classes in the morning and three in the afternoon. I have my lunch at home. I study Chinese, math, English and some other subjects at school. At night, I can watch TV or play computer. But I have to finish my homework first. I usually go to bed at 10:00 p.m..

现在，我可以自己一个人去学校，自己回家。我早上有四节课，下午有三节课。中午我在家吃午饭。在学校我要学语文，数学，英语还有一些其他课程。晚上，我可以看电视或者玩电脑。但是我必须先完成作业，晚上我通常是10点睡觉。
