Spring Festival in my Hometown

The Spring Festival, the most jubilant and important festival in China, is observed by most Chinese people at home and abroad. Our hometown is not an exception.

Similar with other places in china, we prepare for the festival about half a month before. With the lunar New Year approaching, the red lanterns are hung up along the main streets, making the ancient town filled with the festival atmosphere. While people clean up their houses, decorate it with traditional decorations such as Chinese knots and paper cutting. Each family pastes up Spring Festival couplets to convey their best wishes for the coming year.

On the New Year’s Eve, the whole family sits around, having a

sumptuous feast of reunion. It is worth mentioning that the food we have called maiyouzhi is unique. There is a flat piece of wheat sheet covering various vegetable and meat then rolling them up. What a delicious it is! After dinner, the family always watches the Spring Festival Gala Evening, and sets up fireworks to watch in the New Year.

On the first day of the New Year, people pay visits to the relatives and friends to send New Year’s greetings to each other and wish everything smoothly in the new year. The kids can get a lot of lucky money from the elders.

During the whole holiday, there are varied activities in the town such as lion and dragon dance, and all the citizens enjoy them very much.

My College Life

How time flies! I have been in Zhejiang Gongshang University for a semester. In retrospect, my college life is busy but colorful. Different from my senior high school’s life, the whole new life I led is much freer. I arranged my time,

becoming the master of myself.

First of all, study is still the core of my life. I major in Japanese which is both interesting and challenging. We are required to be accomplished in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. As a result I had to spend most of time in improving my abilities. Besides of the regular courses, I often attended the lecture and went to the library to eich my knowledge, and I do benefit from what I learnt.

As to the after school life, what I consider most meaningful is joining the YVP to serve society. I think it is the responsibility for every university student to make contribution to the community. Little as my effort is, I tried my best to help the people around us. Once the YVP organized us to sell secondhand books and raise the money to help the people indeed.

In addition, I quite enjoy the travels and the bees. Travels let me experience the sunshine, fresh air as well as the special taste of the local customs and practices. While the bees keep the friendship shining, and friends are as if family members. Both of them lit up my life.

All in all, the college life is a journey, and I have long way to go; all the memory is the most precious treasure, and I will value every moment.

Now more and more people get to know its important to protect our living environment.As a student，its my duty to do something for the earth. From now on, Ill go to school by bike or on foot instead of in a car. Ill use fewer plastic bags to reduce white pollution. In the weekend, I like to go shopping with my mother. As we know, many people favor the idea that the college life is free and

life, I divide it into four parts, including study, student activities, library

Firstly, I want to talk about the study. In my opinion, study is the

priority in college. When I received the letter of admission in summer, I knew

clearly that what I should do. So I make up my mind to study hard and pursue

learning as much as possible. I’m greatly convinced that knowledge can change my

life. Therefore, I often go to the quiet study room where many people study

there. By working so hard, I get good grades in the exams.

Secondly, student activities play an important role in our college life. To

be honest, the student Union is a good place where one can develop social

skills, get his abilities trained. I take part in many student activities. For

example, I’ m a volunteer, teaching the kids to learn to dance and write. I

think it’s meaningful for everyone to give a hand to others. I can also do some

jobs in the Student Union, including receiving and sending fast mail, selling

papers and magazines. I think they’re unforgettable and worthwhile experiences

for me.

Thirdly, I also visit the library constantly. It’s said that “shelves of

books, oceans of knowledge”, so I read books that I’m interested in. In this

way, I can share stories with my new friends and it also changes my horizons

.When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying the library makes me quiet and

comfortable. After all, every life has bad moments as well as good ones, and the

library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay

in the library.

Finally, I often do other things in my spare time. In order to alleviate

parents’ burden, I often do some part-time jobs and write some articles to earn

money. It helps me to be independent and improve my social skills.

In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. You can see that

study brings me knowledge, student activities improve myself, library changes my

horizons, the others things make me independent. They get all my abilities

trained. And I see that the chance will come only if you have a prepared mind,

so I’m sure that I can achieve my dreams in college life.

Followed the path of the home, through the streets, and I returned to his hometown. The excited cant describe. Because since I was young, I left the hometown, so miss all the more to hometown once a scene.

Then greets our hometown look brand-new, very different from before, like a spider web spotless, the path of the whole street of fresh air can be better. But fragrance more inviting several lanes in the hotel, each dish smells fragrant. Side of the road in order to put the transportation, next to the tree thick peng zhuang, is green and luxuriant.. Trees, flowers, groups of birds in the nest. Look to park located in the hometown of the scenery,, beautiful, butterfly flower dance around. Flowers bloom in the flower bed. All this was paradise on earth!

Then, I listen to my grandfather curiously about old hometown: people used no matter to far, were walking, of course, there is no traffic tools. And then the streets there are one or two hotel, still decorate very humble. The house? Unlike now high-rise buildings, of course, all of them are a little house...

Listening to grandpa, I have asked curiously grandpa, why there will be such a big change in my hometown. 循着家乡的小路，穿过大街小巷，我回到了家乡。这股兴奋劲儿简直无法形容。因为我从小就离开了家乡，所以对家乡的一朝一幕格外想念。

随后，映入我们眼帘的家乡焕然一新、与以前截然不同：像蜘蛛网一般的小路一尘不染，整个街的空气新鲜可佳。但香味更诱人的却要数巷里的饭店，每一碟菜都做得香味扑鼻。路边井然有序地摆放着交通工具，旁边的大树茂密蓬壮，青翠欲滴。树上鸟语花香，成群结队的鸟儿在上面建巢。再去瞧瞧家乡的公园：山光水色、今非昔比，美不胜收，群蝶围花舞。花坛里百花争艳。这一切简直是人间天堂!

接着，我好奇地聆听爷爷讲述旧时的家乡：以前人们无论想要到多远的地方，都是用步行，当然就没有交通工具。而且当时大街小巷也有一两家饭店，还是装修非常简陋的。房子呢?当然不比现在的高楼大厦，全部都是小平屋……

听了爷爷的阐述，我有好奇地询问爷爷，为什么家乡会有这么大的变化。爷爷语重心长地说道：“那都是党的功劳1自从中国统一后，共产党就到全国各地帮忙建设：植树造林，盖楼，生产交通工具……

哇，听着听着，我不禁感叹道：“共产党真不愧为人民子弟兵呀!”

“你们这一代的孩子都是生活在蜜罐里的，我们要是小时候在这样的年代生活那就好了。”这是我的奶奶经常挂在嘴边的一句话。原来我并不理解这句话的含义，通过奶奶他们的诉说，是我深有感慨。

记得有一天，我在家写作业，奶奶就怀念起她小时候的事情，奶奶说：“我们小时候吃上一顿饭都非常困难，早上吃包子，还要两分钱一个，那时的两分钱是个不小的数字呢！”没有米面吃的时候，饿极了就吃树皮、树上长的蘑菇、榆树的叶子等等，在当时，能够吃上包子是我们的梦想啊。现在的孩子能够经常洗头洗澡，还灯这些取暖设施，我们那时一个冬天没有洗澡有浴霸暖的，身上的灰都一把一把的，洗头发只能用肥皂，头发洗的是硬邦邦的。说到这，奶奶叹了好大的一口气。

还有一次，我们一家人都坐在一起吃饭，中午妈妈做了很多菜，我和弟弟在桌子上大口大口的吃看着我们吃的这么香，爸爸说：“我们小的时候，吃菜都是分着吃的，香肉这样的美味大餐，都是你奶奶一块一块给分到碗里的，谁也不敢多吃。”听了爸爸的话，我和弟弟相互看了看，露出了同情的表情。

听了奶奶和爸爸的讲述，我觉得现在的生活真是太好了，我们不仅衣食无忧，还都吃好的穿好的，有舒适的温暖的家，有供我们上学的美丽校园，有各种各样的活动设施。难怪奶奶说：“我们是生活在蜜罐里的呢！”

虽然我是位小学生，但我知道，这样的幸福生活是祖国给予我们的，祖国的强大富裕才让我们有了天堂般的生活。我一定要好好学习，用好的学习成绩来回报我们亲爱的祖国，我会努力的！

我的校园生活My College Life

From 2005 to 2008, I spent my college life in Hunan First Normal College. Reminding my college life, I think it was of great significance.

从2005到2008，我在湖南第一师范学院度过了我的大学生活。说起我的大学生活，我认为是很有意义的。

When I was in college, I studied very hard. As a major of English, I often practiced my oral English. Every time, I could think in English. After thinking and expressed my thoughts to others in English. Although sometimes I couldnt speak English so freely, other people still appreciated me, because of my confidence.

我在大学的时候，很努力学习。因为是英语专业，我经常联系英语口语。 每一次，我能用英语的方式来思考。在思考之后我会把我的想法用英语表达给其他人。虽然有时我英语说得不是很流利，其他人还是很欣赏我，因为我的信心。

In English class, I was always the first one to open my mouth, so my teachers always praised me for my good pronunciation, and my classmates also admired me for my courage. It seemed as if I were on top of the world.

在英语课上，我总是第一个开口说话的，所以老师总是称赞我的发音很好，我的同学们也很佩服我的勇气。我似乎是站在了世界之巅。

However, I have few chances to speak English now, because my job has nothing to do with English. What a great pity! How I wish to work with foreigners, so that I can use my great English.

然而，我现在很少有机会说英语了，因为我的工作与英语没有关系。多么遗憾啊！我是多么的希望能和外国人一起工作，这样我就可以使用我优秀的英语了。

1995 I went into taizhou junior middle school.Totally we had 7 classes,I was in class 4.The head-teacher of the class was a middle age woman.she was so strict with us.for example, i was catched when i ate a big rabbit sugar during class time,she asked me to buy that bland sugar one peice for everyone.in my opinion ,she hated everyting except study,everyweekend ,she asked us to study in school,sunday afternoon was just the free time for us.when she saw we played football,she must get the ball back to her office.someone who was to be in love was found by her,he would be punished just like a shit.luckyly,i was not found by her.i liked the girl who was my Elementary school schoolmate during my junior middle school.i didnt know she konwed or not.it ended when we graduated.but i liked to talk with others during class time,everytime i was found by her,she asked me to write 3000 words to explain why and how to do in future. nowadyas every time i remeber what happened in my junior middle school,i deeply appreciat her kindness.she is real a good teacher.

My junior middle school time has pasted ,but it will influece till the end of my life.
