腊月二十四，家家户户扫房子。妈妈要早早的把屋子收拾干静，这是为了新年有一个新气象。过了二十四大人们忙着杀鱼、肫肉、蒸花馍，准备年货。

每当二十九，家家户户都纷纷上街购买春联，有雅兴者自己也铺纸泼墨挥春，将宅子里里外外的门户装点一新。春联也叫门对、对联、对子等。它以工整、对偶、简洁、精巧的文字描绘时代背景，抒发美好愿望，是中国特有的文学形式。春联真正普及始于明代，与朱元璋的提倡有关。有一年朱元璋准备过年时，下令每家门上都要贴一副春联，以示庆贺。原来春联题写在桃木板上，后来改写在纸上。桃木的颜色是红的，红色有吉祥，避邪的意思，因此春联大都用红纸书写。

到了大年三十，此起彼伏的鞭炮声把节日的气氛装点的更加浓厚。吃过午饭后，端出香喷喷的肉馅，一家人就包起了饺子，男同志擀皮、小孩们当运输员，妈妈们就负责制作精美的水饺。奶奶还要在饺子里放进硬币，看谁最有福气。当一盘盘挺着肚子的水饺端上桌时，大家找到自己满意的饺子，张口就咬，希望自己能走好运。最后，那个带有福气的饺子还是被爸爸吃掉了。

除夕，家家户户吃的都是饺子，我们早早的吃晚饭，守在电视前看春晚，也是“守岁”。

初一到初六这几天，就是我们小孩子“挣钱”的最好时机。天天不是呆在爷爷家，就是泡在姥姥家，用妈妈的话说，就是“整天不着家”，但我们仍然乐呵呵的东跑西窜。

我们这的春节一般到“二月二，龙抬头”的时候才告一段落。虽然濮阳不算大城市，但是它也与许多大城市一样，热热闹闹的迎来春节，又热热闹闹的把它送走。

The joyous Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated on the fifteenth day of the

type of water chestnut resembling black buffalo horns. Some people insisted that

cooked taro be included because at the time of creation, taro was the first food

discovered at night in the moonlight. Of all these foods, it could not be

omitted from the Mid-Autumn Festival.

More than 10 days before the Spring Festival, grandma just get busy preparing something for the Chinese New Year, and kill the chicken, and duck slaughter, and cooked the meat, and cooking, busy trying. Grandma said: "now is no New Years day, better than New Years day !" Dad said: "now is Chinese New Year still busy!" But as for me, although is welcome, not participate in discussions, but has been realized in the harmonious society people overjoyed when!

By year, every household lights, very busy. We eat a good meal in a hurry, picked up a firecracker quickly ran to the designated place, for fear of being robbed the first. 到了大年三十，家家户户都灯火通明，热闹非凡。我们匆匆吃好饭，拿起鞭炮便飞快的奔向指定地点，生怕被别人抢了先。我们放的鞭炮可多了，有“百花齐放”“二踢脚”“布谷啼春”“百子炮”……我们先放“百花齐放”，鞭炮像一个带火的小球一样蹿上蓝天。突然，它不在上升，而是猛然间炸开，形成了一朵五颜六色的花：有的是金转红，有的是黄加绿，还有的是蓝加红。然后我们放“二踢脚”，它也不错，只听“砰”一声巨响，一个火星闪了一下，又是“砰”一声响，金黄的火球在天空中炸开了花，可一下子就没了。“百子炮”有两千多发，要多过瘾有多过瘾。“布谷啼春”是我最喜欢的，点着后冒出了一丛火焰，上面开出一朵朵五颜六色的小花，每一朵都那么鲜艳，那么耀眼!

看着天空中那美丽的烟花，听着四周那响亮的鞭炮声，我想，新的一年又来到了，我们的祖国又会呈现出一片新气象。

Waking up on New Year， everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents.

Then each child will get money as a New Year gift， wrapped up in red paper. People in northern China will eat jiaozi， or dumplings， for breakfast， as they think "jiaozi" in sound means "bidding farewell to the old and ushering in the new". Also， the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot from ancient China.

So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.

Southern Chinese eat niangao (New Year cake made of glutinous rice flour) on this occasion， because as a homophone， niangao means "higher and higher， one year after another." The first five days after the Spring Festival are a good time for relatives， friends， and classmates as well as colleagues to exchange greetings， gifts and chat leisurely.

China has 56 ethnic groups. Minorities celebrate their Spring Festival almost the same day as the Han people， and they have different customs.
