首先，我要感 谢的是老师。老师，是您们为我引导前进的方向。在这一天当中，有多半的时间是与您们一起度过的。上课时，您们为我传授知识，使我增加了知识的积淀，为我今后的学习生涯打下了坚 实的基础。下课时，您们的一举一动时时刻刻潜移默化地影响着我，成为我举止的标杆。从您们身上，我学到了研究学问的方法，懂得了学习要“踏心专心”“踏实认真”“学就学个踏实，玩要玩个痛 快”……这些您们经常挂在嘴边的道理，我铭记于心，并将受用终身。更重要的是，我明白了什么是敬业，什么是负责，这将是我做一切事情的根本。

啊！亲爱的同学们！我们从六年前开始，便共同相伴，并朝夕相处六个春秋。我们协手共建了一个和谐的班级，一个和谐的大家庭。我们在这六年中风雨共济，一人有难全班齐动员。无论遇到什么困难 ，同学总是想方设法地帮助。在班级生活中，再也没有年龄大小、学习好坏的分别，因为我们都是一家人，我们为这个班级奉献出洗手液、香皂、装饰花、白纸，联欢会时的一串串拉花、一个个气球、 一条条彩带、一个个精彩的节目、以及扫地、擦地、擦黑板、刷勺、擦玻璃……这看似一件件小事，却无不充满着我们对这个“家”的热爱。有时，我们为这个“家”做的事，可能甚至比为自己家做的 事还多、还认真。

说到这里，我不由得想起了三年级刚开学时的一件令我至今难忘的事。当时，我因搬桌椅时不慎把脚趾砸伤了，因此休息了一个星期。当我再回到班里时，全班竟响起了一阵热烈的掌声，不知是因为我 伤好而感到欣慰，还是对我的坚强的鼓励。当老师准备安排谁搀扶我行动时，全班同学竟都一拥而上，争抢着为我“保驾”。这时，一股班级的暖流涌上心头，我紧紧地咬着嘴唇，没让同学们看到我因 感动而流出的眼泪。

老师们、同学们，你们的容貌、嗓音、性格已深深铭刻在我的心中，永远永远不会被忘却。也许你们做过的事我可能会忘记，但对我的爱却是永恒的。同样，我也爱你们，爱你们的一切一切。六年的时 光说之漫长、过之短暂，让我们在这最后两个月的时间里抓紧每一分、每一秒，发愤图强，努力进取，考入理想的中学，一同走向明天的辉煌！

每个人都会有第一次，我们都会对第一次充满好奇、新鲜、恐惧等等，而我最难忘的第一次是自己骑自行车上学。

在四五年级的时候，我就非常羡慕那些可以自己骑车上学，放学可以自己骑车回家的人。因为，我家离学校远，所以，爸爸来接总会迟一些，于是，我日盼夜盼，盼星星，盼月亮，终于盼到了可以骑自行车的年龄了，买好了车牌，我就迫不及待地想要骑车了。第二天，我便早早地起了床，匆匆吃了早饭后，背上书包，推着自行车出了家门口。一股刺骨的寒风向我袭来，好冷啊！于是，我系好围巾，戴上手套，全副武装后，就踏上自行车，向学校出发了，一路上，电瓶车、汽车、大卡车都从我身边飞驰而过，我害怕被车碰到，就骑得特别靠右边，每次有车辆要从我后边冲上来时，我就提心吊胆的，等车辆开过，才稍微加快了一点速度。转弯时，我也要时不时地回过头去看看有没有车过来，如果确定没有车过来，我就赶紧转过弯去。在上学的路上，我第一次这么提心吊胆过，因为每一次都是我爸妈送我到学校的。等安全地到达学校时，我才长长地舒了一口气。当然从第二天开始我就不再害怕了。

通过这件事后，我得到了一个启示，只要我们尝试过了第一次，那么我们就会更有兴趣地去尝试第二次、第三次。

Dear Mr. Wang,

I am pleased to invite you to a luncheon, to be held by the Monterey Institute of International Studies on October 12, 2006 at noon, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the death of General Stilwell and in honor of his daughter, Mrs. Nancy Stilwell Easterbrook. Mrs. Easterbrook was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Monterey Institute and founder of the Stilwell Scholarship, which is dedicated to supporting students from China.

For many years until she passed away, Nancy had served as a goodwill ambassador of the American people who made unremitting efforts to promote exchanges between the United States and China. The Stilwell Scholarship she founded helps support deserving students from China who have come to the Monterey Institute to pursue professional degrees in translation and interpretation, international policy studies, language teaching and business management.
