Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. Why should people careBecause we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more. Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting. farmers killed large numbers of hawks, the farmers stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. WhyBecause hawks eat rats and mice, with no hawks to keep down their numbers, the rats and mice multiplied quickly.

Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or plant on the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.

Today, we read a lot about the passage to protect the environment. I recall ever happened in my side.

Last Sunday my father and I went fishing along a river. We found the water so dirty that we could hardly catch fish in it.

A lot of factories along the river always poured their waste water and rubbish straight into the river which made the river water polluted. In this way most of the fish in the river were killed.

——读《山河之书》之《我本是树》有感

窗外雨淅淅沥沥地下着，这时，看书便是一件惬意的事。我找来找去，一本《山河之书》引入眼帘，似乎正是我要寻找的宝贝。哇，黑色的封面显得既神秘又隆重。《山河之书》，听这名字，多么气势磅礴，我迫不及待地打开书本，一下子被里面的内容吸引住了。

本书的作者余秋雨不追逐高官厚禄，毅然孤身一人冒着危险去考察我国重要遗址和文明故地，实在令人佩服。他的书也同样散发着伟大的气息，不禁让人拍案叫绝。此书主要讲了余秋雨考察各地后引发了一些感想，并发表了对古今事物的赞扬与批判。

本书分好几个章节，每个章节又细分成几部分。其中最吸引我的是《我本是树》这一章。它主要讲了苗族人作为蚩尤的后代崇拜枫树，爱护树木，人树合一。这里的人出生时，父母为他种一棵树，死后，村人砍下树，用树皮裹着遗体埋葬，再在上面种一棵树。因此，在这里，人即是树，树即是人，人树合一，人们怎能不爱护树？

“生也一棵树，死也一棵树。”这林中的树，是苗寨人的证婚人；这林中的树，就是苗寨人自己。这种朴素的想法和做法，留下了一片净土，酿造了一片绿荫，吐出了新鲜的空气，净化了数代人的心灵。

如果我们每个人脑海里都有如此想法，世界该是多么美好，树木该是多么高大，沙尘暴、泥石流、龙卷风也许就从此销声匿迹。

记得小的时候，小区里到处可见那美丽的粉豆花，它形似喇叭，夜晚开放，好像一个俏皮可爱的小号手在吹奏着美妙的音乐。我和妹妹经常摘下它的花朵，在花托处轻轻折一下，再轻轻一拉，一条细长的花丝便跟着花托出来了，然后将它挂在两侧的耳朵上，简直就是一对修长的耳环，真是漂亮极了。有时一不小心折断了花丝，或时间长了，花朵蔫了就将它随手扔到一边，不闻不问。那时我可曾想到花朵的痛苦；可曾听到折断它纤长的身躯时，她伤心哭泣的声音；可曾看到将它丢落一旁时，它孤独的眼泪。

如果它是我们的同类，如果它就是我们身边的人，如果他就是我自己。我真想问问自己，我还下的去手吗？

美丽的、可爱的、可亲的生命，就这样，因为我的私心，因为我的一己私欲结束了。从此，便再也见不到它那婀娜的身姿，再也闻不到它那宜人的清香，再也不能听着它那优美的歌声入睡。

可爱的粉豆花，我在此真心的忏悔，愿你的姐妹们不再遭受到人类的欺凌和践踏。

“十年树木，百年树人”。可见树木从一棵小树苗成长为一棵参天大树，是多么的不容易。一朵花要经历播种，发芽，开花，结果等阶段，是多么的艰辛。请爱护花草树木，以树为人，以人为树，到时我岂不是成了“周树人”？

树木是人类家园的绿色卫兵，少了它们，我们将受到外界风沙、洪水等自然灾害的袭击。我们的地球妈妈身着一件绿色和蓝色相加的“外衣”，而现在“外衣”上的绿色逐渐被黄色给替代了——那“黄色”就是没有树木的沙漠。

就在我们的生活中，许多生活用纸和学习用纸都来自树木。据专家统计，制造一堆的纸巾，我们就要砍掉17棵10岁的大树，而每年为了满足全国13亿人口的需要，我们就要砍掉半个大新安岭的树木。这些数据一个个都惊动着每个人的心。而这仅仅是纸巾的需要，在制造我们的学习用品、生活用品中，可想而知肯定远远超出了以上的数据。保护书籍也是保护树木，作为我们小学生只要少破损一本书，一页书，少用一张纸巾，我们就可以少砍一棵树，半棵树。再过几天就是3月12日植树节了，让我们从现在开始，为植树造林做准备吧！

我们只有一个地球，请不要让森林变成荒漠，还地球妈妈一件绿色的外衣。用我们的行动，让天更蓝，树更绿，水更清。同学们，行动吧！

我发现，生活中有许多人乱砍伐破坏树木，这让我感到非常难过。

树木是大自然的精灵，它可以调节气候，净化空气，阻挡风沙进入城市。它是氧气制造厂，1公顷阔叶林一天可以吸收一吨二氧化碳，吐出0。73吨氧气。树木是灰尘吸收器，它可以把灰尘全部吸收在身，从而使经过树木的气流大大降低。树木可以美化环境，使空气更加清新。

如果没了树木，自然灾害会发疯一般地袭来。前一段时间的北京沙尘暴，原因之一就是因为树木缺少、环境变的恶劣引起的。所以树木少，许多的自然灾害会向我们扑来。云南的干旱和树木减少、土壤中水分流失有关。还有湖南那边的洪水，也是因为环境恶化了。

为了保护我们的环境，就让我们行动起来吧!多植树，少去砍伐树木，少用一次性的筷子、水杯、饭盒等这些一次性的制品。

为了我们共同的家园，让我们一起爱护树木——这个我们生活中不可缺少的忠实的好朋友吧!
