Sichuan is located in the Upper Yangtze Valley in the southwestern part of the country. Myhometownlies on the Plain of North China. The famous Grand Canal of

China is to the east of our village. This is the place where my forefathers have

lived for generations. When I was a boy I often played with other children near

the bank of the canal. I watched the passing boats, and I wished to travel all

in front of the village. I used to swim there in summer and skate in winter. It

Today is Monday; I wake up at 6 o’clock in the morning. Then I have my breakfast at home and take the subway to school. I am quite excited about this day, because our chemistry teacher will teach us to do an interesting experiment. This experiment is about how to create soap. Last week, the chemistry teacher promised that we would have something fun in this week. Making our own special soap is the mission in this class.

The most important thing is we learn how to make soap. The time passes so quickly, we feel very busy but learn a lot of useful things.
