３．启发学生自觉。阅读习惯是一种高度自觉的阅读行为，本身包含着自觉的心理因素。启发学生阅读的自觉性，增强形成阅读习惯的心理动力，一要培养学生的学习毅力，帮助他们克服阅读上的困难，使他们能坚持下去，取得成功；二要增强学生的自制力，经常鼓励学生要勤奋努力，及时强化这些行动，克服懒惰的心理。

４．指导阅读方法。指导学生掌握阅读方法，是培养良好的阅读习惯的关键。阅读方法指导要寓方法于实践，主要是通过课堂阅读教学设计科学的训练程序来实现。如通过《那树》（九年级下册）的教学，培养学生认真读书的习惯，就可按下面程序进行训练：

第一步，初读课文。①先看题目，从题目中初步了解课文要讲的是那一棵树。②通读课文，遇到不懂的字词查阅工具书。③谈谈初步得到的印象——课文讲的是什么?

第二步，精读课文。①一句一句地读，把每一句话分清楚，读懂每个词、每句话的意思。有的词要放到句子里才能理解得准确，如“佝偻”，文中喻树的状态。有的句子要联系上下文来理解，例如：“那树被工头和公务局里的科员端详过计算过无数次,但他依然绿着.”.联系下文“从于是那树,那沉默的树,暗中伸展它的根,加大它所能荫庇的土地,一厘米一厘米地向外.”意思就不难理解：那树把绿荫供给哪儿的人们和事物，就像母亲用大手遮蔽着儿女，只是贡献，毫无所求。②读完一个自然段（或一层意思说完的地方）就停下来想一想，这些话概括起来是什么意思。③照上述方法一步一步读下去，一层意思一层意思想下去。④读完后，看文中的关键语段最后一段”那树”的的遭遇,理解赋有哲理性的语句、语段。

第三步，把握课文。①根据课文所讲的几个内容给课文分段，在段末用“‖”表示。②概括各段的段落大意。③把各段大意连起来，抓住课文的主要内容。从中概括文章主旨。上述三个程序，教学中若能步步落实，反复训练，久而久之，学生认真读书的习惯便得以养成。

第二步主要是细读。既然要细读就不必读得太多。只要在第一步把握文章大意的基础上选取出有用的或有兴趣的文段来读，逐字逐句地分析。其意义在于练习选取有用的，可训练围绕中心组织材料的能力，有助于提高作文水平。激发学生兴趣，如果没有兴趣就不能调动积极性，就不能深入到作者的内心深处。最终达到叶圣陶先和讲的“自能读书不待老师讲”的境地。

第三步就是再回过头来从总体上把握。对文章进行“全面理解综合分析”。理清文章的脉络抓住主线身临其境地去体会作者的思想感情。然后分析作者的写作方法，总结出适合自己的方法加以练习。最后形成对文章的最终评价。由于建立的第二步基础上，这次的认识程度将比第一次深刻得多。然后再总结阅读心得，通过心得积累经验，逐步提高阅读和写作能力。
