从前有一片森林，森林里住着一只小蚂蚁，名字叫虫虫，它的家在树底下，多年来一直被大树保护着、它一直有一个梦想能变得像大树那么高，能够保护森林，该多好啊!于是虫虫就去找了魔法师垦求道说：“魔法师你能不能把我变得比树还高，因为我有一颗善良的心。变高以后，我能保护森林”魔法师被虫虫的善良之心而感动、便答应了。

过了一眨眼的功夫，虫虫惊奇的发现，自己长得比树还大还高，虫虫环顾四周、不由赞叹、慢慢地欣赏眼前的风景，突然，它看到远处有三个人向这边走来，不一会儿那三个人来到大树底下，虫虫顿时紧张起来了、它预感到有不好的事情要发生了，只见有一个人走到大树跟前、拍拍树身，对那两个同伴说：“这棵树又高又粗、砍回去垦定能卖个好价钱，就你了，”说完就拿出踞子，这三个偷伐者准备下手的时候，蚂蚁急了，它大喝一声：“住手，谁敢动我朋友”，那三个人东张西望没有看见，顺着声音一抬头吓得直冒冷汗，然后拔腿就跑。

虫虫转过身对大树笑了笑说：“树伯伯你以后多保重.我要走了，去帮助森林里需要帮助的动物。

虫虫第一次帮助别人心里高兴极了，走着走着，突然从对面出现一只正在喊救命的小白兔，虫虫飞快的跑过去，问道：“白兔，白兔你怎么了”，白兔抬头一看大吃一惊，哎小蚂蚁你怎么变这么大了，后面有一只狼在追我、想吃掉我，甩也甩不掉，你能救救我吗?虫虫说“可以”，你站到我后面去，狼看见面前有一个这么大的脚，吓得动也不敢动一下，虫虫一直看着狼，狼害怕极了，忽然一阵风吹过，吹的虫虫的眼睛进砂了、狼在这时间一遛烟跑了。

虫虫成功的帮助了树伯伯和小白兔，它很开心，它也感谢了魔法师给了它机会，实现了梦想。
