我最喜欢的小动物是我在家里养的一只小乌龟。

星期天的时候，爸爸带我到博物馆去玩。博物馆里有许多海里的小动物，它们都在玻璃缸里放着。其中还有卖小乌龟的，工作人员把评测放在一个透气的塑料盒子里。小乌龟在里边爬呀爬的，非常有趣。经不住我的再三要求，爸爸给我买了一只。

回家后，我把它放出来，仔细观察它。它长得胖胖的，全身绿绿的，背上的壳就像一个小房子，走起路来一摇一摆的，样子十分可爱。

听大人们说，小乌龟爱吃鱼肉、菜叶。我就把一点鱼肉放在它的旁边。小乌龟发现鱼不动，就伸长脖子咬了一口，觉得非常好吃，接着就大口大口地津津有味地吃了起来。看着它吃得这么香，我不禁也流下了口水。

有一次，我想捉弄一下小乌龟，就在它旁边放上了一条活的小鱼。它将嘴一碰小鱼，小鱼嗖地跳了一下，吓得它把脖子赶紧缩到了龟壳里。我心想：它真是个胆小鬼。
