I enjoyed my May Day holiday. We Chinese people celebrated the International Labour Day in different ways. Some of us really enjoyed our holiday vacations, so we went sightseeing and visiting our loved ones. However, other people had to take their duties on this holiday.

For example, the police, firefighters and soldiers were on their duties by keeping us safe throughout the holiday. Hospitals opened during the holiday, so doctors and nurses were on call for taking care of their patients. We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

在众人都在担忧时，王阿姨和她的家人却平安无事地逃了出来。原来，当大火来袭时，王阿姨没有惊慌失措，而是镇定地把家中的被子、棉衣全用水浸湿，裹在身上，并用湿毛巾捂住口、鼻，等火势稍小时逃了出来。没一会儿，消防员来了，他们立即扑灭了大火。

When

everyone was worried, Aunt Wang and her family escaped peacefully. It turned out

that when the fire hit, Aunt Wang did not panic, but calmly soaked the quilt and

cotton padded clothes in her home with water, wrapped them around her body,

covered her mouth and nose with a wet towel, and escaped a little later. After a

while, the firemen came, and they put out the fire immediately.

这次起火的原因，就是家里的易燃物品被烧着了，虽然是小物品，但是烧着了火势可不小哇！

上个假期，我和姐姐们一起到农村奶奶家度假。乡村里的天比城里的更可爱，空气是那么的清新，天空是那么的明朗，使人心旷神怡。我们跟着哥哥们在山坡上找野菌，捕野鸡……漫山遍野都留下了我们的足迹，虽然收获寥寥无几，但却很开心。

有一天早上，婶婶对我们说：“今天我们去挖红薯吧！”我一听，兴奋地一蹦三尺高，大声嚷着：“太好了，太好了！”我们开始出发了。这时，太阳刚出来，给远处地里的庄稼抹上了一层金子般的颜色，金光闪闪，美丽极了，小学二年级作文《作文 -难忘的假期》。我正陶醉在这美丽的景色里。大姐走过来说：“快走吧，不然你就掉队了！”我只好跟着她们走了。走了大概半个小时，就到了红薯地。红薯地里除了一些稀稀疏疏的枯藤外，其它什么也没见着。婶婶开始挖红薯了，她挖到的红薯一个比一个大，我拿在手里真是爱不释手。一会儿的功夫，婶婶就挖出了很多红薯。我迷惑不解地问婶婶：“您是怎么挖到这么多红薯的呢？”婶婶指着一根枯黄的红薯藤，说?“这里有红薯，你挖挖看吧！”我挖开了这根红薯藤，里面果然躺着一个大大的红薯，我高兴极了，连忙捧着自己的劳动成果，手舞足蹈起来，逗得大家哈哈大笑。过了一会儿，婶婶在下面割猪草，我们就在上面挖红薯。挖着挖着，我脚下一滑，从上面滚了下来，正好滚进婶婶的背篓里，婶婶急忙从背篓把我拉了出来。姐姐们看见了，笑得前俯后仰，说：“你还真是属蛇的，身子都这么滑。”我气呼呼的说：“你们有点仁慈心好不好，我摔倒了，你们不但不安慰我，反而幸灾乐祸。”大姐说：“不是我们没有仁慈心，而是你摔倒的动作太滑稽了。”到了下午，我们背着自己亲手挖的红薯，高高兴兴地回家了。

一个假期很快就结束了，我们依依不舍的离开了那里，虽然这事已经过去好几个月了，可每一次想起都让人回味无穷。
