大街上到处中野飘香，粽子的腥味扑鼻而来。到了家里，我看到奶奶准备了一大盆香嫩糯米，还没开始包，我就迫不及待的想吃。奶奶一手拿着粽叶，一手拿着勺子，匙了一大口糯米，放进一个卷成三角体的棕叶里，再用手指压一压，用绳子一绑，一个完美的粽子包好了，我没想到男人的双手是那么的灵巧。

等到粽子蒸好了，打开锅盖，一个又大又秀的粽子呈现在我的眼前。我迫不及待的剪开，猛地咬了一大口，味道好极了，我一口气吃了好几个。

吃完了粽子，我们去看划龙舟。河边人山人海，人声鼎沸，还没有看到龙舟，就震撼到了我。我挤进人群，鼓声地动山摇，划龙舟的人乐在其中，船桨在水里整齐的划着，翻起洁白的浪花，像一个美丽的姑娘，穿着雪白的连衣裙在河上跳舞，是那样的婀娜多姿，那样华丽无比。

黄昏时分，划龙舟的人上岸了，紫色的星云悬挂在天空，让人不禁联想起了爱国诗人屈原投江自杀的情景，让人情不自禁地热泪盈眶。

imposing and have great artistic and historic value.However,these buildings do

mot fit in well with each other,because most of them were built by foreigners in

different times.The traffic in the city is not very convenient.The street are

usually narrow and twisted.If the government wanted to have them widened,a large

number of buildings would have to be pulled down.Some buildings are too old and

are nothing more than cottages,and in place of them,some new high buildings have

been set up.However,the new ones are still few and in many places they seem

quite out of place.

Yet those Western-style buildings give Tianjin a different characteristic

I get up at six in the morning. Then I wash my face and brush my teeth.

After a quick breakfast, I go to school in my mothers car. It takes us more

端午节到了，我和我的母亲到街上买来红枣、肉和粽子叶准备包粽子。

同学们会笑话我，要不就放弃吧!担又转念一想，如果就此放弃，太可惜了，还会给班级扯后腿，不行，第三次我一定要加油。坚定信心后，我卯足了劲，在同学们的鼓励下，我紧握双拳，全神贯注的助跑，快跑到沙坑的时候，我使出浑身的力量，纵身一跳，啊，这次的成绩比前两次的都好，同学们都替我高兴，纷纷给我鼓掌。

下一个项目是接力比赛，老师带我们来到起跑线上，给我们讲了比赛规则。我是接力比赛第一组上场的，一声枪响，我们飞快的跑起来，同学们你追我赶，毫不示弱。跑了一半的时候，我已经大汗淋漓，气喘吁吁，两腿发麻，一点力气也没有了。

农历五月初五是家乡的龙舟节。我刚吃过粽子，就和爸爸妈妈、哥哥一起来到潢涌河边看赛龙舟。河两岸人山人海。

下午2时，比赛开始了，龙舟随着鞭炮声起，来自各村的12条龙舟一字排开。锣鼓声霎时震耳欲聋。河两岸顿时沸腾起来，升空的气球、迎接的彩船、划过的龙船……构成了一幅绚丽多彩的图画。你们看呀!那些龙舟多么威风呀!像凯旋归来的胜利者。挠手们分别穿着红短衣、蓝短衣、黄短衣、白短衣、青短衣……头上绑了块白布，上面写了几个字——“奋斗!奋斗!努力奋斗!战胜困难!”他们如同军队一样威风。比赛到了紧要关头，人们的心开始紧张起来，突然，从人群中爆发出一阵阵“下二村加油!下二村加油!”的呐喊声，我放眼看去，原来是下二村旗子的红队落后了，在观众的的支持下，挠手们更沉着了，拼命地划着，下二村龙船，迎着汹涌澎湃的浪花，“踏着”乘风破浪的强风，在潢涌大河上划出一条长长的水纹，冲上了前头，其它龙船也你不让我，我不让你，你追我赶。最后，下二村龙船一举夺冠。队员们团结合作的精神鼓舞广大群众。

据说，赛龙舟是为了纪念楚国大诗人——屈原的：屈原生活在春秋时代的战国时期，那时，七个皇帝各镇守一方，分别是：楚国、燕国、秦国、鲁国、齐国、魏国、赵国。其中，北方的秦国最为强大，虎视眈眈地想吞并其它六国，想成为中华民族的霸王，屈原推兼楚国与齐国合并攻击秦国，但是，昏庸的楚王不但不听的屈原劝告，还把屈原逐出楚国。最后，楚国被秦国消亡了。屈原不任心看见楚国人民流离失所，就在农历五月初五胸中抱着沉甸甸的大石头跳到旧罗江自尽了。楚国人民听到这个消息后难以置信，纷纷划着小船去救他，又害怕旧罗江中小鱼伤害屈原的尸骨，所以，楚国人民用小竹筒装满糯米饭菜，希望江中小鱼不要伤害屈原的尸骨而吃楚国人民做的糯米饭菜。故事就是这样一代一代流传下来的。

赛龙舟需要队员们同心协力、奋力拼搏才能划得快，它宏扬了我们中华民族的优良传统美德，也发扬了我们中华民族的美好精神。

端午节，有许多习俗：赛龙舟，插艾草，喝雄黄酒……可我觉得最不能少的就是包粽子了。今天我和同学们就一起包粽子啦!拿到材料，我和同学们就迫不及待地做了起来。同学们有的不会倒米，有的不会捆扎绳子，还有的甚至不知该从何下手。我心里暗暗自喜：“不就是包个粽子吗，还能难倒我不成?”

可我发现，想是一回事，做又是另一回事。我在放米的时候却发生了一件大事——米顺着我手中的“粽叶漏斗”哗哗地漏了下去……哎，看来我对包粽子也是一窍不通啊!于是我偷偷地跑出了教室，想要去向其他班级取取经，结果他们更好玩，连个粽叶的正反面都分不清!一圈逛下来，留给我的时间已经不多了，我赶紧回到了自己的教室。同学们都围在老师身旁，每个人手上都拿着一张粽叶，包得无比认真。“哈哈哈……”望着同学的“杰作”我忍不住直发笑，我对其中一位拿着圆粽子的同学说：“哪有圆形的粽子啊?你这可怎么绑绳子呀?“难道粽子的四个角就是为了好绑线吗?难道世界上就不能有圆形的粽子吗?”同学马上反驳道，我不仅无言以对……

展示粽子的环节到了。我们教室登时就变成了菜市场，哪里有最新奇的粽子，大家就往哪里去。嘿!我也赶紧去看看。原来大家包的粽子形状都不一样，有的是三角形的，有的是长方形的，还有的因为一个脚太长直接变成了帽子型了!这可真是个了不得的新品种呢!最后，同学们都面带笑容地吃着自己亲手包的、甜甜的粽子，那味道简直甜进了每个人的心窝。

Here is a difference between science and technology.Science is a method of

answering theoretical questions; technology is a method of solving practical

problems. Science has to do with discovering the facts and relationships between

observable phenomena in nature and with establishing theories that serve to

organize these facts and relationships; technology has to do with

tools,techniques, and procedures for implementing the findings of science.

Another distinction between science and technology has to do with the

progress in each. Progress in science excludes the human factor. Scientists, who

seek to comprehend the universe and know the truth with the highest degree of

accuracy and certainty, cannot pay heed to their own or other peoples likes or

dislikes, or to popular ideas about the fitness of things. What scientists

discover may shock or anger people--as did Darwins theory of evolution. But

even an unpleasant truth is more than likely to be useful; besides, we have the

option of refusing to believe it! But hardly so with technology;we do not have

the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?
