LostTimeis never found again. This is something which I learned very

clearly last semester. I spent so much time fooling around that my grades began

to suffer. I finally realized that something had to be done. It was time for a

change. Now I have a new plan for using my time wisely. I have set my alarm

clock ahead half an hour. This will give me a head start on the day. I have also

decided to keep a log of what I do and when I do it. Looking back on what I’ve

done will give me some ideas on how to reorganize my time.

父母都来自苏北农村，那里是大家的家乡，每年阴历5月初五的这一天，村庄里到处都飘散着粽子的香味——清香、醇香、浓香，不时还会传来卖粽子的吆喝声，那样的悠长，那样的亲切，传统佳节—端午节到来了。

端午节又称“解粽节”，听说是古时候大家吃“五香粽”时，有孩子子比较自家包的粽叶的长短，粽叶最长者为胜，所以目前才有了“解粽节”之称。

每逢端午节回姥姥家，姥姥总会给我包上“n”个粽子，让我这个小馋猫饱饱口福。姥姥包的粽子可美味啦，有豆沙馅、香肠馅、大枣馅、白粽……我最喜欢吃的就是豆沙馅和白粽了，入口特别的香、特别的甜。有时嘴馋了，到路边买一个吃，但却没姥姥包的吃后那样唇齿留香……

除去粽子，穿新衣也是一大乐趣，用五味草煮上一大锅热水淋浴，再换上新衣，看上去格外清爽。

听母亲说，小时候家乡看不到龙舟，不过孩子却有其它的乐趣，举办砸蛋大赛。吃过粽子后，挑上一个大大的、尖尖的蛋用小线兜装好，呼朋唤友，相互撞蛋，看哪个的不坏哪个就是“蛋王”，有些小调皮比赛时偷偷用手指抠被发现，“赖皮、赖皮”一堆小伙伴喊着、追着……高兴极了。

有一首儿歌唱得好：5月五，是端午，插艾草，戴香囊，吃粽子，撒白糖，龙舟下水喜洋洋……每每听到这首儿歌，就会让我想起家乡的端午节，不由自主回味那又浓又醇的棕香。

国庆节到了，我们国家成立六十七周年了，机关、学校、工厂、社区、各单位门前挂着红布，上面写着“庆祝国庆”四个大字。

为了庆祝这一天，我们国家放七天长假，让大家高高兴兴的休息。有的人带着孩子去旅游，有的带着孩子去秋游，还有的带着孩子去超市、逛大街、进公园，大家都玩的特别开心。回家时大家都提着大包小包，有吃的，有穿的，有用的，还有学习用品和书籍。爸爸妈妈告诉我，现在生活真幸福，好像芝麻开花节节高，这应该感谢党的改革开放政策好。

国庆节的夜晚更加美丽，街上有各种各样的宫灯，五彩缤纷，还有人行道上火树银花星星点点，闪闪发光，使人看后流连忘返。

我在网上查了一下。原来这是为了纪念伟大的爱国诗人屈原的。公元前278年，秦军攻破楚国都城，屈原和一位楚国大夫知道消息后，悲愤交加、心如刀割。最后，他们抱着一块大石头跳江了。当地的老百姓知道后，就往里面扔粽子，希望鱼儿不吃屈原的身体，只吃他们扔的粽子。所以就有了吃粽子这个习俗。老百姓到了每年的端午节，都会比赛龙舟，赢了就上岸把粽子扔进江里，所以就有了赛龙舟这个习俗。

那在家门口挂艾草和菖蒲，还有挂香袋和在孩子身上写“王”字，又是怎么回事原来是因为古时候没有蚊香，花露水和纱窗，所以人们就在门口挂艾草、香袋，在孩子身上挂香包可以防止蚊子、虫子来咬。在孩子身上写“王”字就是虫子中的国王，虫子都不能咬他。

喝雄黄酒是为了让蛇不来咬，就又有这个习俗了。这时妈妈叫我吃粽子。粽子的馅有肉、蛋黄、豆沙、枣子等多种。剥开绿油油的粽叶，里面就是香喷喷的粽子了!真像一个粽子精灵披着一件绿色的棉袄呢!我要开始吃粽子了，我一口咬下去，啊，粽子真好吃啊!这又香又甜的味道一直到我的心里，使人陶醉了。我真喜欢粽子呀!可是当我一想起屈原便有一种辛酸。

这个端午节我知道了屈原为了国家不惜牺牲自己，我也要想像屈原一样，做一个爱国的人!将来未国家做贡献的人!真是一个令我难忘的端午节呀!

month in the Chinese calendar. There are some traditions in this holiday. For

example, people would have a big dinner with their families. After dinner, they

often enjoy the full moon which is round and bright. The other tradition of

mid-autumn festival is eating moon cake. Moon cake is the essential of that day,

which means reunion. As time goes by, there are various kinds of moon cakes, but

they are much more expensive than before. I like mid-autumn festival because my

families will get together and have a big dinner on that day.

今年的端午节令我难忘。

后面几位运动员都急红了眼睛，恨不得生出一对翅膀，玩命的追。随着终点的临近，啦啦队的呐喊助威声也越来越高，一阵盖过一阵，只剩下最后30米了，出人意料的情况发生了，只见一班的一位运动健将明显加快了速度，似流星赶月一般转眼超过了一个，又超过了一个......

已经同小杰并驾齐驱了，只剩下最后十多米的较量，究竟谁胜谁负?这时，啦啦队的嘴巴仿佛被胶布封上了一般，发不出喊声。同学们的心都吊到嗓子眼儿，裁判员们也都瞪圆眼睛。最后，小杰第二个冲出终点。

800米的跑道，800的角逐，800米的较量，这不仅是力与没的展现，更是毅力的拼搏，获得的不仅是奖牌，更是一种荣誉。

人生中，有许许多多个“第一次”。它们就像许多颗星星，最亮的那一可记录着你最难忘的“第一次”。而我的那颗最亮的“星星”，则记录着我第一次游泳的过程。

由于看了太多的游泳比赛，我曾经很羡慕荧幕上的那些游泳健将，也幻想着我游泳的情景。但是，当爸爸妈妈第一次带我去游泳时，我的心里忐忑不安：现在有许多小孩都是被淹死的，我又不会游泳，要是溺水了怎么办？我突然对水产生了一种莫名的恐惧感。

当爸爸妈妈都下了水时，我还缩在一旁不敢过来。我实在克服不了我对水的恐惧感。在爸爸妈妈的连声催促下，我才战战兢兢地来到池边，心一横，跳了下去。

一下水，我就后悔了。“怎么这么冷啊？”我在水里扑腾着，发现水很深，我的脚根本就够不着底，一连呛了几大口水。我四处张望，想寻求爸爸妈妈的帮助，但很快发现，他们都神秘“消失”了。这怎么办呢？只能靠自己了。幸亏我离岸边不远，我手脚并用，慢慢地划啊划啊，终于触到了岸边的瓷砖，脱离了“生命危险”。正当我坐在岸上大口喘气的时候，原本“失踪”的爸爸妈妈又出现了。原来，他们早就趁我不注意的时候上了岸，等着看我的笑话呢！

我生气极了，刚才，我可是有“生命危险”呢，他们竟然不来救我，真是太可恶了。我冲他们大喊：“刚才为什么不来救我？我差点就淹死了！”

“有那么严重吗？”妈妈眨着眼睛，“我们只是想让你早点学会游泳啊。”

“我才不要学游泳呢，游泳是一项可怕的运动，有可能会淹死人的。”

“不会的，游泳可好玩了。我现在就让你体验一下它有多好玩。”说罢，妈妈笑着走了过来······

只听见“扑通”一声，我再次回到了水的怀抱——被妈妈推了下去。由于惯性，我一入水，就迅速地沉了下去。尽管游泳池里的水并不算太深，但对于我来说，要浮上去，根本是不可能做到的。我害怕极了，想叫，却只有一大股冰冷的水涌进了我的嘴里，我被呛得咳嗽起来。出人意料的，猛然间我平静了下来，心想：我不能依赖爸爸妈妈来救我。要是遇到了真正的危险，而爸爸妈妈又不在身边，我该怎么办？这也许就是对我的一个考验吧，我要自己寻找出路。我的脑海里浮现出了一幅幅游泳比赛的画面。画面上的选手个个都飞快得上下摆动着双腿，像鱼儿一样在水里敏捷地游着。这真是一种高效的游泳方法。莫非，这种方法也能让人从水里浮上来？不管这么多了，我也有模有样地摆动起双腿，感觉自己再一点一点地上升······终于，刺眼的阳光又出现在了我的眼前。

我爬上岸，骄傲地告诉一脸赞许的爸爸妈妈：“我已经能在水里控制自己了，我不怕水了！”

我知道，妈妈是故意把我推下去的，但我并不怪她。因为，她是为了锻炼我才推我下去的。相反，我还想感谢她，是这轻轻的一推，让我明白了：要学会独自经受考验，才能磨炼出一颗独立自主的心，在成功的道路上越走越远。

After the Spring Festival, here comes the Lantern Festival. In China,

people celebrate it on the lunar calendar fifteen. It symbolizes the short rest

has come to an end after the spring festival; people need to get back to work

with their best wishes in the brand-new year. We all celebrated this festival

with plenty of food and fun. The most important and traditional food on the

Lantern Festival is Tang-yuan. With sweet and soft rice outside and peanuts or

sesame inside, this little rice ball stand for the happy reunion, and the best

wish for the whole families. Apart from having dinner with parents and

relatives, there are also lots of activities on that day. The Lantern shows as

well as guessing riddles are part of the Lantern Festival; and the most

interesting part of the show is that the riddles are written on the Lantern.

After dinner, the whole families go to the lantern fair, to enjoy the happiness

in this moment.

In every city, there are always a main street known for its lantern fair,

on that special day, the street will become as bright as daylight in the night

with myriads of lanterns and streams of spectators. At this moment, the

happiness in the heart is beyond all description. By watching various lanterns,

eating sweet Tang Yuan, and hanging out with the people we love, thinking of the

bright future in front of us. It’s worth everything.

人生路漫漫，生命的价值在人生之路中体现的淋漓尽致，它的意义不在于能活多少天，而是在于你怎样选择你的人生，这一辈子做了个怎样的人。

我上五年级了，学了许多优秀的课文，而令我印象最深的就是《厄运打不垮的信念》。

《厄运打不垮的信念》讲了谈迁历尽挫折写了一部《国榷》的故事。谈迁从小刻苦好学，尤其喜欢历史，他立志要写一部翔实可信的明史，在此后二十六年中，他长年背着行李，步行百里之外，到处访书借抄，广搜资料，在我们课本上的第112页的插图上能看出来谈迁的衣服上全都是大大小小的补丁，但无论生活环境多么艰难，谈迁都不在乎，只一心一意地写书。终于经过二十多年呕心沥血的写作，先后六次修改，谈迁在53岁时完成了一部400多万字的《国榷》，可就在即将付印的晚上，发生了一件意想不到的事，《国榷》的原稿被小偷偷走了，这部宝贵的书稿转眼就化为乌有，二十多年的心血白费了，这对任何人来说都是一个致命的打击，何况是年过半百，两鬓花白的谈迁呢，这更是一个无情的创伤。如果是我，我一定痛不欲生，一定不会再振作起来，而谈迁却从痛苦中崛起，不顾自己年老体弱，又四处流浪，到处搜集明朝逸闻，并实地考察历史遗迹，加以补充、修订，重新写了一部崭新的《国榷》，共104卷，500余万字，比原来的那一部更翔实，更精彩!

看到这里，我想起了三年级时的我。那时我英语基础不好，妈妈在勃飞外语学校给我报了辅导班，一开始，老师带我们边学英语边做游戏，我很有兴趣，学的也很开心，可渐渐的，老师改变了教学方式，不再让我们做游戏，我就觉的光学习枯燥无味，就失去了学英语的兴趣，听讲也不认真。回家我对妈妈说：“妈妈我不想学英语了，我们把钱退了吧!求求你了，妈妈我真的不想学了”。妈妈听了这话，严肃地对我说：“英语是一门主课，很重要，目前你的英语基础不好，我和你爸又辅导不了你，勤能补拙，你只有跟着专业的老师，多读多说多练习，英语成绩才能赶上去。”

想想谈迁，对照我自己，感到十分惭愧，我应该向谈迁学习，时刻有着坚持的信念，永不服输，永不言败，在困难永不屈服的精神!

是啊，在漫长的人生道路上，难免有崎岖和坎坷，会遇到这样那样的挫折，但我们要有承受挫折的健康心态和坚定的信念，希望之光就会重新亮起来!

寒假里，爸爸为了保护我纯洁的心灵以及视力，不让我上网畅游。他给我买了一辆滑板车，让我锻炼身体，不会因不上网而无聊。起初，我一上车就摔，身上布满了乌青，我不弃馁，坚持到底，现在虽称不上高手，却也来去自如。

刚进大门，我就看到两个字特别显眼：迷宫。我迫不及待地跑进迷宫。拐了几个弯后，我竟然发现走进了死胡同，迷路了。身边没有一个人，我本能的哭了起来，哭着哭着我发现没有人来救我，想起了妈妈曾经对我说的话：遇到问题，哭是最没有用的表现，要用自己的勇气战胜自己。我于是擦干眼泪，凭想象按来的路走回，转过了几个弯，我竟然发现了地图。

我高兴地跳了起来，仔细观察地图，可是全部记住是一件难度很大的事情。我转念一想：我不妨把地图画在手掌上，边走边探索。于是，我就拿出笔把复杂的地图绘制在手掌上，一边研究一边探索，果然功夫不负有心人，我终于凭借自己的力量走到了终点。“太棒了!我到达终点了!”我大声向在看台上的妈妈招手欢呼。

妈妈向我竖起了大拇指，微笑着对我说：“孩子，你真棒，世上无难事，只怕有心人。妈妈为你骄傲!”是啊，世上没有做不到的事情，只要有勇气战胜自己的懦弱，就一定能够得到最终的胜利。我微笑着妈妈使劲点点头，我明白了在困难面前，要有勇气战胜自己，不要畏惧，只要自己多动脑筋，就一定能想出的解决办法。

在回家的路上，我觉得通过这次经历我的心更勇敢了，自己仿佛也长大了许多。这次迷宫之旅，让我懂得：人不能遇事则乱，只有内心强大，才是真正的强者。这次走迷宫，我走出了勇气，走出了成长。

那一次，迷路的我找到了战胜困难的勇气和自信，我相信以后的道路上，无论遇到什么困难险阻，我都会沉着应对，积极想办法，因为我已经找到了战胜困难的钥匙：勇气。

一年一度的春节到了，家家户户都喜气洋洋，乐意融融。春节有许多习俗，比如：贴春联、贴“福”字、放鞭炮等等。让我们一起了解他们吧。

春联，俗称“门对”、“对子”，雅称“楹联”。喜庆的大红春联就是对联的一种，在春节时张贴，故称春联。这是古代汉族民俗文化，表达了汉族劳动人民的一种辟邪除灾，迎祥纳福的美好愿望。今年春节来临之际，我为外公外婆和几个舅舅舅妈，还有几个邻居阿姨送上我亲手写的大红春联，并送上了我的祝福。

“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。”在中国，爆竹声响就是辞旧迎新的标志。记得我很小的时候，每次听到窗外噼里啪啦的声响就吓得哇哇大哭。等大了些，我和姐姐总喜欢趴在窗口看爸爸放烟花，五彩缤纷的烟花照亮了半边天。再大了些爸爸会带我们一起玩鞭炮，我们总是玩得不亦乐乎。

如今，我们了解了许多烟花爆竹的危害，会造成空气污染，会产生很多垃圾，也可能造成人身危害，所以，我希望大家可以减少燃放烟花爆竹，为我们美好的生活环境出一份力。

我们还有许多过年的习俗，守岁、发红包等等。在新的一年里，祝大家万事如意，天天开心。我又长大了一岁，愿我在新的一年中努力学习，天天向上！

My schoool life is busy and fantastic.

First, we have four classes in the morning and three in the afternoon. We have to get to school before 7:30 because we have a morning class.
