The main reason of applying to be Olympic volunteer of 2008 is that I think this will be my unforgettable and GREat experience in my whole life. This is the first time to hold Olympic Games in china, for every Chinese person, this Olympic game is very important and memorable. Besides, Olympic Games will be held in Beijing. As a citizen of Beijing, I feel very proud. Although I am only a graduate, I think that I must actively contribute to the Olympic Games. Unnumbered people want to be Olympic volunteers, but they have no opportunities.

I am so lucky that I am a graduate, and I have opportunity to work for Olympic. My heart tells me that I cannot lose this GREat opportunity. I have geographical conditions that I live in Beijing and I study in Beijing. I have no reason to give up this opportunity to be Olympic volunteer. Furthermore, I can learn and get exercises in many respects, for example, my language skills, communication skills, association skills and ability to deal with matters of sudden urgency. Of cause I may have opportunity to meet my dream sport stars who are XXX, XXX and XXX. (laughing).

All in all, this experience has great influence on my future life and I have a lot of confidence. ^-^ (laughing again)

Now I’m studying in Hunan First Normal College, which is Chairman Mao’s former school. I major in English, because I find it so fun and interesting. As far as I’m concerned, our English Department is the best department in our college. The teachers in our department are knowledgeable, experienced, and warm-hearted. And my classmates are nice, friendly and helpful. Thus, I have a good atmosphere to study. When I have difficulties in study, I always ask my teachers for help or discuss with my classmates. Through their help, I have made great progress in my English study.

我现在在湖南第一师范学校学习，这是主席之前呆过的学校。我的专业是英语，因为我觉得它很有趣。我觉得我们英语系是我校最好的学部。我们系的老师知识渊博，经验丰富，热心肠。我的同学们也很和蔼，友好，乐于助人。因此，我拥有一个很好的学习氛围。当我在学习上遇到困难时，我总是向我的老师寻求帮助或与同学讨论。在他们的帮助下，我在英语学习上取得了很大的进步。

College life is much different from high school life. In college, we should acquire knowledge as well as improve our integrated abilities. There are a lot of English classes for us to learn, such as Basic English, Oral English, Listening, Reading, Writing, Translation, Grammar, English Literature, and so on. I enjoy these classes very much. Except English, we have many other subjects to learn. Life seems so busy here but it’s so fruitful for me.

大学生活与高中生活有很大的不同。在大学，我们要获取知识也要提高我们的综合能力。我们要上很多的英语课，比如，基础英语，英语口语，听力阅读，写作，翻译，语法，英语文学等。我非常喜欢这些课。除英语外，我们还要学习很多其他科目。在这里生活是如此的忙碌，但这对我来说是如此丰硕的收获。

After class, I usually go to the English Corner. There I can practice my oral English by talking with foreigners or chatting with my schoolmates. Now, I’m able to communicate with foreigners well. Sometimes I also take part in some social activities. For instance, last weekend I attended an interesting play. As it was my first performance, I felt a little nervous at the beginning. But when I appeared on the stage, I made every audience laugh happily. I was so proud of myself at that moment, because this was my first achievement.

下课后，我经常去英语角。在那里我可以通过与外国人或我的同学聊天来练习我的英语口语。现在我可以很好的和外国人交流了。有时候我也可以参加一些社交活动。例如，上周我参加了一个有趣的表演。因为是我第一次表演，所以一开始的时候我觉得有点紧张。但当我出现在舞台上时，我让每一个观众都开心的笑了。在那一刻，我为我自己感到骄傲，因为这是我的第一个收获。

小偷在人们的眼里往往是一个不好的职业。因为他们做的是一些小偷小摸的事情，为这个职业蒙上了一层不光彩的云雾。但如果有一个代表正义的小偷，你们会不会喜欢呢？

假如我是小偷，我要偷走地球上的垃圾，因为它们给地球带来太大的危害了。在我们的生活中，垃圾无处不在。它们不仅臭气熏天，而且还污染空气和环境。所以偷走垃圾，没有人会介意吧？

假如我是小偷，我要偷走人们邪恶的心。杀人放火，打劫，报复……这些行为都是因为人们邪恶的心在作怪。有些人虽然表面上没有犯罪的行为，但是已经有了犯罪的心理。为了防止这种行为的发生，我要赶紧去“行窃”了！

假如我是小偷，我要偷走所有人的惰性。在寒冷的冬天人们不出门，整天窝在家里，时刻对着电脑、电视等电子产品，日久天长，视力快速下降。惰性甚至还能要了人的命。平时不锻炼，导致发生自然灾害时来不及逃命，可见惰性是多么可怕啊！惰性是每个人都有的，有些人能摆脱它，但还是有大把的惰性“追求者”，看来又要劳烦我跑腿了。

假如我是神偷，我要偷走所有对人们不利的东西。自然灾害？偷定了！人们无止境的贪念和矛盾？照样偷！你看吧，一般人的矛盾，吵吵嘴就算了，再大一点的矛盾，打一架就完了。如果是国际的矛盾，就大大不同了。二国一打起仗来，那双方的损失就大了，劳民伤财！

神偷出场，世界定会焕然一新。我想，有我这样的小偷，你肯定喜欢。
