暑假里的一天，我和妈妈跟随亲子夏令营来到了古代帝王的宫殿——故宫，饱览了故宫之丽。

游览故宫之前，我们就阅读了朋朋哥哥写给孩子们的《宫?城》。书中阐述了许多历史和故事，其中印象深的有一段是花了大幅篇章描述了故宫的排水系统。最近北京下过大雨，也有新闻报道说百年故宫竟不积水，这让我感到十分疑惑。于是，我带着好多疑问来到了故宫。

我们在文化导师小松哥哥的带领下进入了故宫。一进午门，展现在眼前的是一座座气势宏伟的宫殿。蓝的天白的云，下面是黄色的屋顶，红色的柱子，中间加上过渡色蓝绿彩绘，冷暖色调相互辉映，这么美的画面真的震憾心灵。

故宫不仅具有观赏性，还具备实用性。紫禁城的护城河——金水河，它不仅有防敌、消防的作用，还能泄洪。我最想看的是各宫殿须弥座上的昂头向外的“螭首”。在太和殿的广场上，我近距离观察了，螭首嘴中有一个小洞，可以喷出多余的积水。流到太和殿广场上的雨水，再根据地势变化，流向台基下的券洞，最终经券洞通过明沟暗渠，排到护城河里，这样一来故宫再也不怕大水了。但是为什么这些螭首上的小洞就这么大小，大点不是排水更快吗?我想再回过头去看看《宫?城》，能不能找到答案。

除了这些，在互动游戏中我回答了角楼的作用。我还看到了龙凤呈祥的交泰殿，最具东北特色的坤宁宫，具有十只脊兽的太和殿，在御花园留了影……还有许多各具特色的宫殿，我们没来得及细看，也给我这次故宫之行留下了小小的遗憾。

每个人眼里的故宫都不一样，同一个人不同时间看到的故宫又不一样。有机会我会再游故宫，到那时又会是怎样的感觉呢。

我是一个富有双重性格的女孩儿，一个是开朗一个是内向，如果你看见了我，一定看不出我的内向，因为，大部分与我熟悉的人，都认为我是一个活泼，调皮，胆小的女孩子，可是，我的心又有谁知呢?

端午节是我们中国十分隆重的节日，它是为了纪念战国时期伟大的爱国诗人屈原，现在的中国人还在延续这一习俗，甚至还有一天的法定节日。

Dragon Boat Festival is a very grand festival in China. It is to

commemorate Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in the Warring States period. Now

Chinese people still continue this custom, even a legal festival.

农历五月初五就是端午节了，家家户户都要包粽子，还有有趣的划龙舟比赛呢!奶奶在家已经煮好了香喷喷的粽子，打开锅盖满屋都飘着粽子的清香，让我闻得口水直流个不停。我迫不及待地剥开粽子叶津津有味的吃了起来，真是回味无穷呀!

The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of may in the lunar calendar.

Every family needs to make zongzi. There are also interesting dragon boat races!

Grandma has cooked delicious zongzi at home. When she opened the pot cover, the

fragrance of zongzi was floating all over the house, making my mouth water

continuously. I cant wait to peel off the zongzi leaf and eat it with relish.

Its really memorable!

After eating zongzi, my father took me to watch the dragon boat race. There

are lots of people here, and the traffic is very busy! The race started, and

every team is ready to go. With a burst of gunfire, each dragon boat flies

across the water like an arrow. The audience cheered and shouted, cheering and

encouraging for the contestants. The contestants listened with confidence and

strove hard to paddle, and the water splashed everywhere. Each dragon boat

chased after each other. At last, the laggard No. 1 finally caught up with the

far ahead No. 2. The audience couldnt help cheering. There was a sea of joy

everywhere. Ah! This is the most unforgettable day for me.

The environment has been polluted badly today and the nature punishes the

human being by all kinds of disasters, such as the heavy haze in Beijing, which

damages people’s health. World Environment Day is on June 5th. It pays attention

to call for the public to make an effort to bring the world a clean

environment.

Look at the pollution around us, which exists everywhere. The cars release

the gas which pollutes the air and the rubbish can be found in every corner of

the street. All of these daily incidents hurts the world we live. Especially the

factories, they release the heavy smoke and make the sky becomes dark. What’s

more, the wasted water flows to the clean river.

Though the government has made some action to punish the businessmen for

releasing the polluted sources, they still dare to take the risk of earning the

biggest profit. If we hurt the environment, it will hurt ourselves, because we

live together. The polluted environment threatens our health. If we want to live

the comfortable life, then the only way is to be nice to the environment.

Do you like animal？ What’s your favorite animal？ My favorite animal is monkey. It is lovely and clever. People always say that our human beings are evolved from monkeys. In the other word， monkey looks a little like human being， which close the distance between it and me. It has a long tail. It can make different shapes by it. It likes eating bananas. China has many traditional festivals among the year. But I like Mid-Autumn Festival the most. It means harvest, because it is celebrated in the harvest season. And it is the time for famers to express their thanks for harvest. In addtion, it’s the day for reunion. Some people call it Tuanyuanjie. The people work or study far away from home will come back to get-together with their families. They will eat a big meal and mooncake at that time. I hate parting but love reunion. So Mid-Autumn Day is my favorite festival.

Over the years, the story of Qu’s demise transformed into the traditions of racing dragon boats and eating zongzi – a kind of rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. The races have certainly captured the imagination of people from all over the world. Every spring there are nearly 60 dragon boat races held outside of China in cities from Vancouver to Sydney, from Gdańsk, Poland to Cape Town, South Africa.
