The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the society. As a student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.

First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago. It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof. In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Nowadays, more and more college students are addicted to online games. Those games may be funny and exciting, but are very harmful to those addicts.

In my opinion, there are many disadvantages of game addiction.Firstly, online games take up a lot of players time for study. 遵守交通规则Obeying the Traffic Laws

I am often very afraid to cross-large wide streets. I always go to the traffic light and use the crosswalk, but many times I have been frightened. When the light changes to green I still need to look both directions to check the traffic. On many occasions a speeding motorcycle or bicycle or once a truck drove past the red light and across the pedestrians path. When I have my bicycle, I get off and walk across the street, but always someone crosses the red light. Once at the intersection near the shopping mall I saw an accident: a taxi had stopped for the light, and another truck came from behind and did not stop. For safety, it is very important for everyone to obey the traffic laws.

The language develops as the media become various, many years ago, people used the language that was very formal, because most oral language was always the same as the paper language. But as the time by, people started to use computer, they shared the information, at the same time, many new language was created. The Internet language is in favor by people, they like to use it, because it is fashionable and very appropriate to express what they mean. I like to use the Internet language, it is so new and fun, what’s more, it is convenient, like I can use the shorten words instead of the long words. The problem of the Internet language is that it is very informal, it can’t be written in the paper, it will changes as the time goes by. In my opinion, we can use the Internet language in informal occasions.

语言的发展伴随着多媒体的多样化，很多年以前，人们使用正式的语言，因为大部分口语和书面语言差不多。但是随着时间的流逝，人们开始使用电脑，他们分享信息，同时，很多新的语言被创造出来。网络语言为人们所喜爱，他们也乐意使用，因为这很时尚，也能恰当地表达人们的意思。我喜欢使用网络语言，那很新鲜和有趣，而且，也很方便，比如我可以使用短的词来代替长的词。网络语言的问题在于非常不正式，不能书面书写，网络语言也会随着时间而改变。在我看来，我们可以在非正式场合使用网络语言。
