The joyous Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated on the fifteenth day of the

eighth moon, around the time of the autumn equinox(秋分). Many referred to it

simply as the "Fifteenth of the Eighth Moon".

This day was also considered as a harvest festival since fruits, vegetables

and grain had been harvested by this time and food was abundant. Food offerings

were placed on an altar set up in the courtyard. Apples, pears, peaches, grapes,

pomegranates(石榴), melons, oranges and pomelos(柚子) might be seen. Special foods

for the festival included moon cakes, cooked taro(芋头)and water caltrope(菱角), a

type of water chestnut resembling black buffalo horns. Some people insisted that

omitted from the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Everyone has their own habit. I have some living habits. I will take off my

shoes and put on the slippers when I arrive home. And I get used to drink some

soup before having dinner. What’s more, I have to keep my room light on until I

fall asleep. If I am forced to change anything about this, I will be very

uncomfortable. For example, if I don’t wear slipper at home, I will be very

二要把改革创新作为教育事业发展的强大动力。教育要发展，根本靠改革。在教育领域，我们的改革创新很多方面是走在全省乃至全国前面的，大大激发和释放了教育发展的活力。现在，我们正在按照中央的统一部署和省委的明确要求，着力打造全面深化改革先行先试“合肥版”。各地和市教育主管部门要按照市委全面深化改革《实施意见》的部署和要求，分年度、分领域、分类型，统筹落实各项改革任务。要扎实推进考试招生、学校管理、办学体制、人才培养、投入保障等方面的改革，特别是要着力构建现代职业教育体系，加强校企合作，促进产教融合，为经济社会发展培养大量的熟练产业工人和专业技术人才。最近，国务院决定全面推开中小学教师职称制度改革，为基础教育发展提供人才支撑。市委改革办和市教育局等相关部门要加强研究。总之，我们要以改革创新为动力，努力实现学前教育在普惠上有新进展，义务教育在均衡上有新进步，高中教育在提升上有新发展，高等教育在服务地方经济社会发展中有新作为，民办教育和特殊教育发展有新成效，农村教育上新水平，切实办好人民满意的教育。

三要把提升教育发展水平作为重点任务。关键是两个方面：一方面，要以促进均衡发展为前提，加快整体提升。加快实现基本教育公共服务均等化，努力办好每一所学校，培养好每一个孩子。这既是教育事业发展的需要，也是一个重大的民生问题。要以义务教育“三大提升”工程为抓手，以创建“全国中小学品质提升试验区”为契机，加快构建各级各类教育协调发展、优质教育资源有序扩张、城乡一体化的现代公共教育服务体系。其中，对特殊教育和农村留守儿童教育要给予特别关照。另一方面，要以强化素质教育为基础，加快内涵提升。教育的根本目的，是促进人的自由全面发展，培养经济社会发展需要的各类人才。要在教育教学中，大力培育社会主义核心价值观，强化理想信念教育，扣好人生的“第一粒扣子”。要以新的理念为引领，树立人人皆可成才的观念，做到因材施教，尊重、鼓励个性发展。要创新教学方式，引导学生掌握学习方法、自主学习、独立思考，鼓励创新思维、激励个人兴趣。要合理设置课程，进一步减轻学生课业负担和学习压力，同时加快建立科学的、多元化的教育评价体系。

From the earliest time to the present days, viewpoints concerning human

nature were vehemently contended among prominent philosophers. Mencius believed

human nature is good, and people are naturally inclined toward virtue. While,

Xunzi deemed human are basically evil who need to be changed by man-made.

As it is widely known, human nature is that indestructible matrix upon

which the character is built. Accordingly, to a large extent, the basic nature

of human beings cannot be changed. On the other hand, each of us is naturally

endowed with diverse both qualities and personalities, which makes us unfold an

apparently distinct character. Then, it is hard for one to change his nature

fundamentally. Regardless of whether nature is innate or habitus acquired, they

were both a consistently developing courses that cannot be easily changed in a

short time. Last but not the least, external influencing factors, like

religious, education and even social institutions can merely direct our nature

on account of the most limited control. Thus, it is only the surface that is

capable of alteration, improvement and refinement.

In a word, the basic nature of human beings does not and cannot change and

also no one can fundamentally change his nature in the short time. But people

can make it perfect.

Almost everyone knows that water covers three-fourths of the earths

surface. Most of it， however， is in the oceans and is too salty to drink. Also，

some of it is frozen and cannot be used. In fact， less than one percent is left

for the use of people， animals and plant life. All through history men have

tried to build their homes near the sources of fresh water. Now fresh water is

becoming scarce， but more and more is needed because of the increasing number of

people in the world. Some industries also use large amounts of fresh water in

the production of things such as steel， petroleum， paper and rubber and so on.

Scientists estimate that the need for fresh water will have doubled by the year

2003. If they are correct， we must find new ways of saving it or producing it.

Some nations have worked on the problem and are already sharing their

information with others. They are trying to keep their rivers from becoming

polluted. Deep wells are also being dug， and rain water is being collected in

huge artificial lakes. In one way or another， they hope to provide enough water

to satisfy the needs of their people.

A library is a building for a collection or books, magazines, periodicals

and newspapers. The books are kept on the shelves in the stack room whereas the

magazines, journals, etc. in the reading rooms. Modern libraries also have xerox

rooms, and computer rooms.

If you want to borrow books, you can go to the loan desk, look over the

correct call numbers in the card catalog and ask the librarian to take then, out

for you. Or youre allowed to enter the stack room to rind books for yourself,

you can look up the bound volume or index for the articles relative to the

subject, on which you are going to write thesis. If the library doesnt

subscribe to the magazine which carries the article you want, you can borrow the

magazine from other libraries by means of interlibrary loan service.

Dont forget to show your library card or I.D. card to the librarian before

you go into the reading room, where you can read magazines or newspapers. If you

find a good article and want to keep it, you can have it duplicated in the xerox

room. Besides, if you want to watch films or slides, you can ask the

projectionist to play the videotape for you in the audio visual room, where you

can also listen to language tapes and music tapes.

I love to read. When I was three years old, my parents had taught me to

read. They bought me some books with funny and colorful pictures. Soon I was

attracted by these stories and fell in love with reading. Since I went to

school, I often went to the library and it was my favorite place. Studying in

the library provided me a silent environment. The most important thing was that

as so many excellent students sat around me. I felt the great motivation to move

on. I could find the data any time and read the books I liked. I have gained a

lot of knowledge and find the great hour there.

As the Christmas Day is coming, our class decided to send some gifts to our

teachers, because we wanted to show our gratitude to them. At first, we had no

idea what to buy, because we wanted to do something special. So at last an idea

came to my mind. I advised to write a card, pasting some pictures of classmates

on it. Everybody agreed with me, so we spent a day to take some funny pictures,

and everybody wrote down their names on the card. When we sent this gift to the

teachers, they loved it so much. They were so impressed by this precious

surprise and would keep it forever.

October 1st is the national day of our country, which is a public holiday for the whole country. It’s an important day that marks the beginning of PRC. On that day, there are plenty of celebrations holding throughout the country, from the central government to the general people. And public places, including big squares, parks are decorated in festive theme. In recent years, the national holiday means the golden week as well, which is a short holiday that all people expect to. With the improvement of living standards, people have more money and desire to travel and the golden week is a good chance for them. Its Sunday today. I got up early and did my homework on the table. All of a

sudden I remembered the mothers day, a picture of my mind, remembering a past

thing that moved me.

Thats the case. After coming home from school that afternoon, my mother came

back. I found that my mother was very tired, his eyes were squinting, and I

As a student, I expect the winter holiday very much, because I don’t have

to go to school every day. So I can sleep and get up late. But this winter

holiday, I am not very happy. I didn’t do well in the final exam. It makes my

parents disappointed. I feel sorry to them. Besides, I got ill the whole winter

holiday. I caught a cold at first and then had a fever. I had to see a doctor

every day. My parents worried much about me. Because of the illness, I didn’t

have a good time during the New Year. Now, I am a little better. I hope I could

今年的圣诞节，我过的非常的有意思，我不仅收到了圣诞老人送给我的礼物，而且还挣了11元钱。和大家一起分享一下吧。

12月24日是平安夜，放学后，我和班里的10个同学被我们的妈妈们带到通州西门人流较多的地方去卖平安果，妈妈们让我们这些孩子们体验生活，同时也过一个难忘的圣诞节。

到了地点，我们两人一组，分成五组，每组一个小篮子，里面装上6个平安果，我们的行动就开始了，家长们在一边看着。

我们看见有个阿姨走过，我们10个人就呼啦一下围过去就说：“阿姨，买个平安果吧，5元一个，祝您圣诞节快乐。”10个人吵作一团，都争着卖自己的，结果把阿姨吓跑了，谁的也没买，我们10个人就开始互相埋怨，又开始唧唧喳喳的吵个不停。我们的妈妈们看着我们争吵都一言不发，只是看着我们。争吵一会之后，我们感觉应该拉开距离，不能在一起，我拿了2个苹果自己去天桥卖了，我连问了几个人，有叔叔也有阿姨，他们都不买，我快急哭了，手里拿着苹果，眼里含着泪水，一回头，妈妈在我身后笑着对我说：“小朋友，我想买个平安果，多少钱一个啊?”我说：“不卖您，看我的，我一定能卖出去。”这时过来了一个阿姨，我走过去说：“阿姨，您买个平安果吧，5元一个，祝您……。”我的话还没说完，没想到阿姨说：“孩子，我买一个。”阿姨给我5元钱。“耶，我卖了一个平安果。”我高兴的蹦很高，我真高兴，忘记了寒冷，忘记了刚才的难过。我后来又卖了两个苹果，一个是5元卖的，一个是1元买的，我一共卖了11元钱。

妈妈们让我们集合了，要去吃饭了，我拿着自己挣到的11元钱，心里美滋滋的。妈妈们请我们这10个小朋友到比格吃的自助餐，我们吃得特别的多特别的香。一边吃，我们还一边比谁卖的钱多，陈潞曦卖了50元，最多，还有5元的。哈哈，我不是最后一名。

旁边桌上，妈妈们在吃饭，她们也在议论我们，还有个妈妈笑的眼泪都流出来了。

今年的圣诞节，我体会到了，挣钱还真不容易，做事情真不能放弃，要相信自己，要坚持。生活还真有意思，我今年的圣诞节好玩吧。小朋友们，你们有这样的经历吗?也和我一起分享一下吧。

教师节快要到了，我祝所有的老师节日快乐!

今天中午我回到家，吃过午饭后，就情不自禁的打开电脑，查阅有关赞美老师的诗歌、诗句和名言。

赞美老师的诗歌、诗句和名言真是多不胜数啊。从古至今，有成千上万的人都发自肺腑的用不同的方式和语言表达着自己对老师的感激和赞美之情。比如李商隐的“春蚕到死丝方尽，蜡炬成灰泪始干”;关汉卿的“一日为师，终生为父”;居里夫人的“不管一个人取得多么值得骄傲的成就，都应该饮水思源，应当记住自己的老师为他的成长播下最初的种子”斯大林的“教师是人类灵魂的工程师”。

我又看了许多赞美老师的文章和诗歌，都非常的感人和耐人寻味，但是，我感到在美的语言也表达不出我心中的那份感受。老师对我们的教诲如春风，师恩似海深。老师对我的精心培养和关爱，即使我用千言万语和最美的语言也诉不尽我对老师的感激之情，我只有将这份感激埋藏在心里，把我对老师的敬爱化作学习的动力，努力学习，奋力拼搏，用我优异的成绩和闪光的品格来报答我敬爱的老师们!

I will soon become a middle school student, which means my life will come

to a new chapter. So I must do something different to make me stronger. I want

to be more independent, so I can make my own decision. As my parents always make

decisions for me, I want to tell them that I have grown up. From now on, I

should learn to take care of myself, such as washing clothes and helping my

mother with the house work. The most important thing is to finish my homework

without my parents supervision. I am so excited about my new life and I believe

that I can become a better person.
