1864 年天京陷落，天王洪秀全自杀，宣告太平天国灭亡。这时候，张汶祥已随侍王的军队从湖州入江西，一路转战到福建，部队已所剩无几。张汶祥与结拜兄弟曹二虎、石锦标商量，决定离开队伍回安徽，投奔捻军首领张宗禹。当时张宗禹的部队驻扎在安徽的西阳集，从蒙城到涡阳都属于张宗禹的势力范围。

Mr. Lee is my English teacher, and is thirty. He likes sports very much, so he looks strong and young. He is fond of singing too. When we feel tired in the class, he will teach us some English songs. 今天是端午节，大家知道端午节的来历吗?!不知道吧!那就让我来告诉你们吧!你们还记得楚国那位爱国大将屈原吗?我来说一说他吧!

屈原是战国时期出国人，很有学问。他在楚王身边做官，以形象是自己的国家富强起来。昏君楚王却听信奸臣的话，把屈原削职流放。在流放中，屈原听说楚国的都城被敌人占领，百姓遭难，悲愤极了。五月初五这一天，他来到汨罗江边，怀抱一块石头，以纵身跳入汨罗江中。出国的百姓听到屈原投江的消息，都十分悲痛。他们含着泪划着船赶来打捞屈原，还把粽子扔到江里喂鱼，希望鱼儿不要伤害屈原的身体。这就是五月端阳包粽子的来历。

“吃醋”一词通俗之至，大家都明白，它是形容男女之间由于对方一时忽视自己而产生的一种失落情感，人们会由此嫉妒甚至愤恨情人所关注的对象，有时说起话来都带着酸味十足的嘲讽。这比喻手法出自何时、来自何典呢？

《隋唐嘉话》里记载，有一次唐太宗赐给管国公任瑰两位漂亮的侍女，然而任瑰带回去之后不久就出事了。因为他的妻子很有个性，容不下丈夫身边再有女人，一时发狠用药毁坏了两位侍女的满头秀发。太宗皇帝听说后很是生气，马上召见其妻，指着旁边准备好的一坛子毒酒威胁说：“妇人妒忌，理当七出。如能改行无妒，则勿饮此酒；不尔，可饮之。”这女子也很干脆，答曰：“宁妒而死。”抱起坛子一饮而尽。可是，饮酒之后人并没死，没想到坛中不是毒酒只是美味的香醋而已。太宗皇帝也无奈，当时就说，你们家的事情我这个皇帝也管不着了。结果“吃醋”一词便由此流传开来。

还有一种说法出自《国史异纂》，认为吃醋之典来自房玄龄的故事。房玄龄所娶夫人美丽无双，但是他年轻时贫寒之至，为此，房玄龄曾经表露害怕妻子看不起他、抛弃他另就高枝的顾虑。当时他妻子二话没说，抓起剪刀自刺一目，表示永不变心，并且施展其女杰才分，全力支援丈夫成就大业。由于这一经历，房玄龄非常敬重他的妻子，他妻子也百般呵护和捍卫他们的爱情。房玄龄作为宰相对缔造贞观盛世功劳至巨，唐太宗为了犒劳他，曾经下旨赐给他几位美人，但是房玄龄却推托不受，皇帝知道房玄龄顾及夫人的感受，只好央求皇后召见房玄龄的夫人，劝解说，人们纳妾本来就有常制，完全符合规矩，而且司空（房玄龄官号）年高体弱，皇帝想用多个女人照顾他以表开心。

可是房夫人对这些毫不领情断然拒绝。皇帝勃然大怒，给出两个出路让她选择，一是改变初衷，不再妒忌，这样可以安然活下去；二是可以继续妒忌成性，但必须被处死。房夫人毫不犹豫表示宁可为妒而死。皇帝拿出一坛子毒酒给她，房夫人一饮而尽。皇帝最后只好说：“这样的女人我这个做皇帝的都害怕，何况是房玄龄呢！”当然皇帝赐给房夫人的也不是毒酒，而是香醋，所以也有人认为这个故事就是吃醋的最早来历。

伯乐本来的名字叫孙阳，他是春秋秦穆公时的人，很会辨别马匹的好坏，是著名的相马师，所以人们叫他伯乐（天上星宿名称，传闻专管天马）。

有一次，伯乐经过虞阪，眼睛一亮，看见一匹千里马;但是这匹马却被人当成劣马，用来拉车。伯乐觉得十分的痛心，不禁泪如雨下。

这匹马彷佛也知道伯乐很同情它，也口吐白沫，连连嘶叫起来。伯乐有一个朋友名叫方九皋，也很会相马。有一次，他找来了一匹骏马，告诉秦穆公说这是黄色的雌马。秦穆公牵来一看，却是一匹栗色的雄马，不禁大失所望。

事后，穆公对伯乐说：「方九皋连雄马、雌马，以及毛色都分不清楚了，怎么可能看得出马的好坏呢？」伯乐不以为然，他认为方九皋看重马的内在精神，而不重外形。穆公听了，再牵出马仔细的察看，果然是天下最好的马。

人们常把具有赏识人才的眼力的人比做伯乐，而把有用的人才比做千里马，这就是伯乐相马。
