《摆渡人》是刚读完的一本英国小说。

内容讲述，一个父母离异性格内向的小女孩，独自一人坐火车去见自己的父亲，火车在通过一个隧道时失事，小女孩醒来时发现自己是这场事故的唯一幸存者。她走出隧道口，和远山坡上一直望着她的小男孩一起跨越这个荒原。

故事情节颇惊心动魄，在跨越荒原的日子里，小男孩一直保护小女孩两人相依为命，产生了爱情。当小女孩跨越荒原成功摆渡到另一个世界时，因留恋小男孩而找到了回到荒原的办法再次与其相见。

当然，结局也没有让读者失望，二人一起从荒原逆行回到了人间，达到了圆满。

这个故事听起来似乎和平常我们看过的穿越剧，灵异电影相似。但当你仔细品读时，字里行间透露出我们对自己人生态度的思考。

对于死亡 ：

若人死了真有灵魂的摆渡者，那么死亡或许没那么可怕，只是离开了一个现实宇宙能看见的世界到达另一个颠沛流离的世界罢了，在那里有逝去的亲人，活着的人早晚有一天也会到来，死亡只是一个空间的跨越罢了。

在这里我最喜欢的一个小故事是《燕子》啦!在这篇小故事里面，也是故事主人公燕子，它的翅膀不小心受伤了，它的妈妈也找不到它，于是柳树、池塘、蜜蜂和花儿都来安慰它。于是在这一天，正好有一个叫青子的女孩放假在山上采花，在采花时看见小燕子的翅膀受伤了，她看小燕子可怜，就把它带回了自己家。青子把小燕子带回家后，就叫来自己的好朋友玉儿，让她一起帮忙。青子把事情经过告诉了玉儿，她们俩一起照顾小燕子，给它唱歌，哄它睡觉。另外，她们俩还决定帮小燕子写信去找它的妈妈。第二天，燕子妈妈来找小燕子了，小燕子的伤也好得差不多了，青子和玉儿依依不舍的把小燕子送走。最后小燕子和它的妈妈团圆了。

I watched Hachiko: A Dog’s Story days ago, eyes filling with tear. It’s really a fantasticly moving film.

The plot went as: A college professor (Richard Gere) took in an abandoned dog and they formed an unbreakable bond. The dog arrived daily at the correct time at the station, to meet his owner. After the professor died while away from home, the dog kept vigil waiting for his master for nearly a decade.

To wait for your love for a decade, which contains almost the whole life-time of Hachi, it’s an incredible dedication that we human beings never has. This is why the film strikes us a lot.

No one has the ability to show his love to only one person during his whole life, let alone make friends with only one people; have the food that never changes year by year; do the same damn thing without complaining and conciousness of exhaustion. We can’t! However, what we could learn from Hachi is that we should never forget the one we once loved.

A detail in the movie catches my eyes. One day when professor was on his way to school, Hachi fetched the tennis ball as he was taught years ago. But during the last several years, he never did like that, because to fetch a ball in this way is not his instinct. Why Hachi did so? He wants to entertain his master for more palatable food, for a hug? I’m afraid not.

Research and statistics prove that pets are more sensitive in human’s potantial deseases than us do. Hachi fetched that ball because he knew that his master is going to die because of his heart desease. It’s his only way to hold him back.

Hachi has been waiting in the weeds, waiting for his only fellow to walk him home. His hope has been floating in the breeze, carrying his loneliness and misery all above the ground. Maybe professor knows, but he could never come back.

Thoughts or reflections on reading Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights was written by Emily Bronte, it published in 1847.But at that time, it seemed to hold little promise, selling very poorly and receiving only a few mixed reviews. I found this in our school library, I chose this book because the title attracted me. Wuthering Heights is structured around two parallel love stories, the first half of the novel centering on the love between Catherine and Heathcliff, while the less dramatic second half features the developing love between young Catherine and Hareton. In contrast to the first, the latter tale ends happily, restoring peace and order to Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. In the story, the two houses, Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange, represent opposing worlds and values.

I spent twenty days reading this book. After reading this book, I felt for Heathcliff at first. Heathcliff begins his life as a homeless orphan on the streets of Liverpool, and then he tyrannized by Hindley Earnshaw. But he becomes a villain when he acquires power and returns to Wuthering Heights with money and the trappings of a gentleman. His malevolence proves so great and long—lasting. As he himself points out, his abuse of Isabella—his wife is purely sadistic, as he amuses himself by seeing how much abuse she can take and still come cringing back for more.

Catherine represents wild nature, in both her high, lively spirits and her occasional cruelty. She loves Heathcliff so intensely that she claims they are the same person. However, her actions are driven in part by her social ambitions, which initially are awakened during her first stay at the Lintons, and which eventually compel her to marry Edgar. Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. The location of her coffin symbolizes the conflict that tears apart her short life. She is buried in a corner of the Kirkyard. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. Ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with Heathcliff. He never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the Linton family.

Just as Isabella Linton serves as Catherine’s foil, Edgar Linton serves as Heathcliff’s. Edgar grows into a tender, constant, but cowardly man. He is almost the ideal gentleman. However, this full assortment of gentlemanly characteristics, along with his civilized virtues, proves useless in Edgar’s clashes with his foil. He sees his wife obviously in love with another man but unable to do anything to rectify the situation. Heathcliff, who gains power over his wife, sister , and daughter.

The whole story make people’s mood heavy. Fortunately, the end is happy.

The author Emily Bronte lived an eccentric, closely guarded life. She was born in 1818, two years after Charlotte—the author of Jane Eyre and a year and a half before her sister Anne, who also became an author. Her father worked as a church rector, and her aunt, who raised the Bronte children after their mother died, was deeply religious. I like this book because it rest on the unforgettable characters. Wuthering Heights is based partly on the Gothic tradition, a style of literature that featured supernatural encounters, crumbling ruins, moonless nights, and grotesque imagery, seeking to create effects of mystery and fear. I would like to recommend this book to other readers.

The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. It played a great part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. 这本书可以称为一部游记，记述了了作者在国内国外各地旅行时的所见所闻，令人不禁惊叹。原来他去过那麽多地方，从赫赫有名的敦煌、都江堰、三峡、庐山、西湖，到未被人所知的青云谱、天柱山、天一阁、狼山、九公墓，乃至新加坡一处安静的坟地。每一个地方的湖光山色尽收他的笔下，娓娓道来，一幅幅或壮美或秀丽或堂皇或颓废的画面便铺展在书页间，镌刻在脑海里。

而这本书又不能单单称之为游记。若只为记录好山好水或游玩的的经历，又何必冠上一个“文化苦旅”的深沉雅号？游敦煌，比欣赏壁画更要紧的是感悟其广博的`文化历史内含，同时为一卷卷经文的流失而扼腕叹息；访庐山，更是平坦的石板路他不爱走，名扬千里的庐山瀑布他匆匆走过，却劳神地翻过多少座大山，竭尽全力到尚未开发的“三叠泉”去大发“当代的便利途径阻断了跨时空的精神沟通”的慨叹；在西湖边踱步，他无心流连美景，却在潋滟中垂青于两道长堤，一位隐士和一人一妖两个美人。在浓艳的美妆背后，作者挖掘的是消逝走远的庐山文人和盛大却疏离的西湖文化。而在他笔下重现的众多渴望天柱山脚下终老的知名文人的足迹与上海的天一藏书阁经历的风风雨雨，更让中华历史的厚重感突现出来，同时也为文化未来的走向与发展深深忧虑，压在心头。

这本书从头至尾，字里行间都饱含着作者对中华灿烂文化和历史的热爱和极深的造诣，后面几篇写在新加坡的几位年迈的华人对祖国的思恋则犹为动人。

读完这本书，我却忍不住愧疚。庐山、苏州我也曾去过，但除了“上车睡觉，下车拍照”，偶尔赞叹一下祖国的青山绿水，别的什么也没有思考。若先读了这本书，再去这两个地方，所得的感悟定会不少吧，将不只是吸了满肺清新的山水气息。于是就有了按书上的指引去拜访那些涤荡着丰富的文化、沉淀着厚重的历史的地方的想法。

也许就像作者说的：

“文人似乎注定要与苦旅连在一起。”

而这本书便带着我一路品咂着文化，一站一站地徜徉在各个文化宝库之间。说真的，能静心读完这样一本书连我自己都有些惊奇，不过读后的收获真是说不完啊。

近日，我读了中国古典四大名着之一——《水浒传》，书中的一个个精彩的故事，一位位英雄人物，都给我留下了不可抹灭的印象。

《水浒传》的作者是施耐庵，元朝末年人，他是我们古代的一位伟大的文学家，而他创作的《水浒传》则更是家喻户晓、尽人皆知。《水浒传》是我国第一部以反映农民起义为题材的长篇小说，它深刻地揭露了封建统治阶级的罪恶，热情地歌颂了农民的革命斗争。它不仅描述了一个个作恶多端，欺压百姓的害民贼，同时也描述了一个个劫富挤贫、铤而走险的好汉，他们被那些大大小小的统治者，上至宋朝皇帝、下至恶霸地主、差役爪牙，逼得无法再生活下去，走投无路，只好走上反抗的道路。通过阅读《水浒传》不仅让我对封建社会有了更本质的了解，而且还让我熟悉了每一位英雄，如：宋江、吴用、林冲、武松、鲁智深……他们是多么让人神往啊!他们就好比刘备、诸葛亮、关羽、孙悟空……一般，是永远存活在人们心中的艺术形象。全书中最让我记忆犹新的，还算是英雄好汉武松醉后打虎的故事了。

话说武松离了“三碗不过冈”后，便直奔景阳冈。走了一里多路，武松便觉得又累又渴，躺到一块大石头上，正闭了眼要睡，忽然从乱树丛中蹿出一只吊睛白额大虎来。武松见了，顿时惊出一身冷汗，酒也醒了一大半，从青石上翻身跳下，抄起哨捧，闪在旁边。那老虎把两只前爪在地上略按一下，纵身一扑，武松急忙闪到一边，老虎见捉不到武松，便干脆一掀，一剪，可都让机灵的武松闪过了。那老虎正准备再次攻击，武松连忙抡起哨棒，从空中劈下，谁知只打在了一棵树上，哨捧断成了两截。这一下，激得老虎向武松猛扑过来，武松往后一跳，老虎恰好落在他面前，武松丢掉手中的哨棒，两手把老虎皮揪住狠劲地踢它，又用拳头猛打它，不一会儿，老虎就只剩下一口气了，五官里全部是血，武松又到树边拾起半截哨棒，回来又打了一二百下，直到老虎一丝气也没有了才罢手。武松又回到青石板上歇了好一阵，才走下冈子去。

《水浒传》中那些紧张曲折而又富有生活气息的故事;那些带有传奇色彩而又栩栩如生的人物，永远都活在我们的心中，永不磨灭!

《野性的呼唤》的主人公是一条名叫巴克的狗。它原本毫无忧虑的生活在美国南方，却被家里的仆人偷偷卖到了阿拉斯加成为了一条雪橇犬，在目睹了一次惨象后，它开始遵循“大棒”和“利齿”的法则，并逐渐成为了一条优秀的雪橇犬。后来，它遇到了它真正喜欢的一个叫桑顿的人。他们去东部寻宝，桑顿却被印第安人杀死了。在为桑顿报了仇后，巴克回归了大自然。

The Little Princess is written by Frances hodgson Burnett, who was born in Manchester in England in 1849. In order to support her family she had began to write since she was 18. Then she was famous for the best selling book Little Lord Fauntleroy. She wrote about 50 novels and stories.

The representative ones are the secret garden, little princess, little Prince and so on. She was good at writing fiction and children"s stories. Her books often show sentimental, romantic color, plus full of childlike plots and the nature of light and warmth, which makes her works not only popular among the children but also the adults.

The Little Princess is just like the modern Cinderella. Sara Crewe, the protagonist of the novel was a little girl but acted as an adult and she loved telling stories to others. When she was 11, her dad sent her to a girls’ boarding school because of his father’s business. At first, Sara lived like a real princess and she was loved by everyone. She could get whatever she want because her father was rich. But on her birthday party, she got a bad news about her father was dead. From that moment, Sara’s life was totally changed. She didn"t understand why the teachers and students treat her so bad. She had to work 16 hours a day. She began to taste the hardships of life with no money. Sara and her partner Becky lived together and they helped each other, support each other. There’s an old saying, when one door shuts, another opens. So, after a long time, she met her father’s partner who was searching for her for years because her father found a gold ore and earned lots of money. Then she lived with this kind man and Becky became her exclusive maid.

When I finished reading the book, I feel inspire. What impressed me most are Sara’s kindness and the spirit of brave. When facing difficult, she is still very optimistic and is kind to everyone. She always has a b will and never gives up. I think whenever I face difficult I will think of Sara, then I will feel inspire and overcome it bravely.
