When I got home, my mother told me that I have to be determined to do

anything. Since I have gone to learn, I must learn it. If some movements are not

in place, I must find a way to practice more. I think what my mother said makes

a lot of sense, so I practiced holding my breath in the washbasin at night. It

lasted for more than 20 seconds at most. It seems that as long as I work hard, I

I think we should even be grateful to life whenever we are unsuccessful or unlucky. Only by doing this can we find our weakness and shortcomings when we fail. 我们刚刚下第一节课，当我收好东西来到楼下，看见操场上有很多老师和学生在看什么，记一件有意义的事作文。我十分好奇，也就跑过去看。看了好久上面什么也没有，于是我就去问班主任杨老师有什么事，老师的回答使我大吃一惊，杨老师说：“楼房上面直震动，好像发生地震了。”我一听，十分害怕，心想：我以前在书上看到过地震发生时，仅几秒钟房屋就会倒塌甚至还会让整个城市毁灭，但现在都过了好几分钟了，楼房还是完好无损，我对杨老师的话半信半疑。

我放学回家，在电视里看到全部是关于地震的报道。原来是四川省的汶川县发生了8.0级大地震，那里有许多楼房都倒塌了，受到最大破坏的是学校，因为地震发生时学生都还在上课，很多老师和学生都被埋在废墟底下，被挖出来的人有的缺胳膊少腿，没有被挖出来的就死在废墟下，在汶川还死了很多人，总计就有八万多人死亡。在房屋倒塌的几秒中间，却发生了很多感人的事情：有的老师为了救学生而牺牲了自己，有的学生为了救其他的同学自己受了伤，还有的救援人员去救别人时被余震压伤了腿或是失去了生命……

我记得有一位老师叫谭千秋，他正在上课，突然教室摇晃起来，老师虽然不知到发生了什么事，但要学生马上下去，有几个学生来不及走出教室，老师就要那几个学生蹲在讲台下， 用自己的身体护住讲台，学生得救了老师却献出了他宝贵的生命。

灾难发生后，解放军、全国各地乃至全世界的人纷纷发起支援活动，捐款捐物，我们学校也不例外，老师有的捐一百元、两百、五百……学生有的捐三百、一百、五十、两元一元，都想为灾区献出自己的爱心。我捐了五元钱，我想虽然我捐的不多但这表达了我的爱心，我还是十分的快乐的。

I like reading very much during summer vacation. Let me tell you something

about my reading.

One day, I just finished my meal and went to the front of the bookshelf to

look for the books I wanted to read. My eyes are on the famous little woman. I

couldnt help but pull the book out of the shelf. Sit on the bed and look with

Time passed by minute by second. Unconsciously, I have been reading for
