读书让我痴迷，一旦读到一本好书，我经常会手不释卷，因为书中的情节吸引着我，就算是晚上，我也常常会因为读书而通宵，读书有时也让我耽误一些重要事，有时我会因为痴迷读书而不专心上课。

读书当然也令我难忘，难忘江姐为革命奋斗终生的雄心壮志，难忘一生命运坎坷的黛玉含泪离世，难忘卖火柴的小女孩被冻死时的场景。

读书提高了我的文化素养，也是我的课外知识更加丰富，我想这正是莎士比亚话里的含义。

Great man said, "the book is the ladder of human progress" today, I will set foot on the ladder, in which I harvest joy, I can open it more walk more far, more walk more high.

以前我总不喜欢看书，每当妈妈叫我看书我就敷衍了事，老师叫我读书那也是迫不得已，同学叫我一起看书更是滥竽充数。但这个暑假我却开始喜欢看书了。

这个暑假我“荣幸”的被老师选了当图书管理员，我也只有硬着头皮去冲锋了。来到图书馆，哇!好多读书，好漂亮，在这里东转西转，大家都在看书，我也不好意思，就拿了一本书，坐上了椅子，在这里看书真舒服，这个期间妈妈居然来巡视了，那时没人来，我也只好拿着一本《格列佛游记》装样子，妈妈一看高兴地说：“儿子真乖：”我想：还不是给你装样子。看着看着突然我觉得书的内容哈精彩，真吸引人眼球，我看了下去，更精彩了，我第一次觉得书这么好看，看着看着，就看入迷了。更妙的是一天同学们正在讨论《格列佛游记》有的人茫然不知，而我滔滔不绝地讲起，大家投来羡慕的目光，真让人想说这句名言“开卷有益”。

伟人说过“书是人类进步的阶梯”我今天就踏上了这个阶梯，我在其中收获了快乐，我能开着它越走越远，越走越高。

reading good books is one of the greatest pleasures in life. from good books, we can derive satisfaction, companionship and instruction. a good book can increase our happiness when we are cheerful, and lesson our trouble when we are sad. whatever purpose our reading may be, our contact with good books should never fail to give us enjoyment.

with a good book in our hands we never feel lonely. the people we meet in books may delight us as our companions and friends. our human friends may sometimes bore us, but good books are always ready to give us friendship and encouragement.

from good books we can heartily enjoy the beauties of nature, the triumphs of science and technology, and the treasures of music and art.

from good books, moreover, we can still draw much instruction which few companions can offer. reading good books can help to advance our knowledge and improve our mind so as to equip ourselves to perform our work more efficiently.

The book is a snack type in my mind. It is for my entertainment. Of course,

I can supplement and broaden my knowledge while I am busy. It made me appreciate

Qin Wenjuns humor, Guo Jingmings romance, and Zhang Xiaoxians faint sorrow. The

book gives me a huge vocabulary and gives me a deeper understanding of

literature: literature is not the boring articles in "textbooks". Literature can

be funny and humorous, literature can be romantic and beautiful, and literature

can also be pretentious.

From the thin "good children" in childhood to the thick "junior literature

and art", from the interesting "Andersens fairy tale" to the endless aftertaste

of "The Dream of the Red Chamber", I also understand the value of various books.

After reading some campus novels, I feel that there is a lot of excitement.

After a few months, I basically have no impression. But classical literature can

not only increase your literary culture, but also learn some incomprehensible

ancient poetry. Wouldn’t it be fun?
