Protect the environment. Its all about us. Everyone has to do their part. This will make our home more colorful!

Today, Chinas economy has made the great achievement. More and more

foreign people come to China to seek for cooperation. It is true that peoples

life standard has been improved a lot during the last decades, but the

environment has been polluted badly. When I was very small, I could see the

green trees and clean water around my hometown, but now, the river becomes

smaller and the rubbish can be seen everywhere. I feel so sad about it. We have

sacrificed so much to chase the profit. If we cant save the environment, we

wont live the comfortable life. For us, we should not throw away the rubbish

and plant more trees. The little things we do will make a great difference.

有许多事情，大家是不能忘记的。其中有一件事情我一提起，每一个内江人都还记忆犹新，那就是去年的沱江河水污染。

阳春三月，发生了一起河水污染事件，让美丽的沱江河成为了一条哭泣之河。从2月16日到3月2日川化二厂向沱江河排放纯氨氮2000吨，河水发出恶臭，氨氮指标超标40～50倍，上游河段达到100倍，这可是惊人的数字呵，会致人怪病甚至患上癌症的，已造成了大规模死鱼，死鱼达50万公斤，沱江生态受到严重破坏，直接经济损失上亿元，致使简阳、资阳、内江百万居民停饮自来水。这是全国近年来最大的水污染事件。因为时间持续到3月2日，被称为“302”事故。现在时间虽然已过去一年多，排污工厂受到了处罚，工厂排污得到遏制，但河边污染水源的情况并未停止。河滩上到处都有烟头、纸屑、果皮、塑料袋等各种垃圾在污染河水。

针对现在的河水污染情况，我想，如果我是市长，我将会采取以下几种办法治理污染。

一、河滩放置垃圾桶。我发现现在河边没有垃圾桶，只有河堤上才有，而人们都有一种懒惰心理，丢一次垃圾要花几分钟，很麻烦，大多数人就干脆把它丢在河里和地上。就近在河滩放置几个垃圾桶，又花不了多少钱，简便易行，解决了人们丢垃圾麻烦的问题。

二、河滩设置管理人员。现在人们不想把垃圾丢进垃圾桶还有一个原因，就是人们发觉河滩没有人员管，可以乱丢垃圾，造成环境污染。安置管理人员强制管理人们的不卫生习惯。

三、加强环境保护的宣传教育。现在人们乱丢垃圾的另一个原因是环保意识差。要在办公室、学校等公共场所进行宣传，提高人们的环保观念。学校也可经常组织学生到河滩捡拾垃圾，增强学生的环保自觉意识。

四、多植树木，防止水土流失。大家知道黄河是怎么来的吗?就是因为它流过的地方有黄沙流失，积少成多，慢慢就成了黄河。如果我们多植树木，就可以防止河岸上泥土流失，以免成为第二条黄河。

能按这样做，我相信一年内沱江河将成为最干净的河。

现在我们应该保护环境，保护水资源，防止沱江河发生第二次河水污染。

电池是在生活中用得最广泛的商品之一，计算器、手表、电动玩具、电话、复读机......非常多的商品都离不开电池。可是电池用完了，就到处乱扔，造成了很大的危害。

在班上，有一半的同学都说乱扔废旧电池没有危害。

我在《十万个为什么》这本书上查到，《废旧电池为什么会致人死亡？》它的内容大概是：一年冬天，日本发现了有十几个病人：手颤，双腿僵硬，迈不开步，一会儿哭，一会儿笑。后来，两人死亡，一人投河自杀。经尸体解剖证实，不是细菌脑炎，而是与摄入了过量的金属锰有关。是因为，水井里埋过300多个回收电池，问题就出在这废旧电池上面。废电池埋在土里，外壳腐烂后，里面的锰外露，遇到氧一化碳时，转化成了水溶性的重碳酸盐，重碳酸盐随着地下水渗如井里，造成了饮用者锰中毒。

可是，我给一些说没危害的同学看了这篇资料后，他们依然说乱扔废旧电池没有危害。但我认为危害很大，因为从这篇资料上就可以看出乱扔废旧电池会导致一些人的死亡。

这告诫人们：废旧电池千万不能随便乱丢，要很好地集中处理。

我们的家乡现在是多麽美丽，绿色的草坪，五颜六色的小花，公路上那么长的绿化带。看到这美丽的景色，谁能想到我们的家乡原来的模样啊!

原来，我们的家乡遍地的垃圾，说不定你走到哪里，脚下踩的就是别人吃完随手扔的垃圾。绿色植物很少很少，简直少得可怜，这与“森林王国”奥地利相比起来真是天壤之别。而且，如果你走在路上，从身后开过一辆车，绝对能荡你一身尘土。路边的小花小草身上也全是灰尘。

而现在，放眼一望，很少再看见垃圾袋了。绿色植物哪里都有，虽然比不上奥地利的那么多，但也比原来好多了，而且，在我们学校附近，还有许多个小花园，里面种着许多小花大树。走在路上，觉得空气新鲜。

我幻想在未来，出门就是草地，抬头就是大树。站在屋顶上那个远眺，到处是绿色，树木成片成片，每一棵树都是绿色的浪花，每一片树木都是一片海洋。再也看不到垃圾。这样的话，我们也就生活在层层叠叠的绿色之中了。这是不是很美好那，其实，要实现这并不难，只要我们多多种树，保护小花小草，实现这就很简单。

让我们的家乡真正变成零污染吧，让我行动起来吧，不要让这只是幻想吧!

Although the government has announced many criterious, the barbarous behavior can be seen everywhere. Such as throwing litter on the streets arbiitrarily, crossing the road when the red lights on, smoking at the public place and etc.

The Expo 2010 Shanghai China is coming, it is important for us to show a beautiful and clean environment to the world. A tidy enviornment can show the civilization of the city, and leave the foriengers a good impression. Moreover, a comfortable and beautiful city can let the citizens live happier end enjoy the life.

Therefore, the measures should be taken immediately. As a lovely citizen, we should not only obey the rules ourselves but also appeal other people behave theirselves. We can add more litter bins and slogans on the streets, plant more trees and decreas the factorys let-out.

How to protect the environment

Good environment can make people feel happy and fit . To improve the environment means to improve our life.

We should plant more trees and flowers around us . We shouldn’t cut them down . We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into the air.

Whenever we see litter on the ground , we should pick it up and throw it into dusbins. Never spit in public. Don’t draw on public walls. It’s our duty to protect the environment.
