Save the Wild Animals

Many wild animals are facing the danger of extinction, because the environment that they are living in has changed greatly. For example, with the developmet of cities, the using of insecticide and serious pollution, their living areas have become narrowcr and narrower. I took the empty barrel and went towards the well outside the yard. It snowed yesterday, so the alley was very slippery. A layer of thickice was frozen on the platform of the well. I was frightened by the sight, but I gathered my courage to walk towards it.

The alley was so slippery that I walked with difficultly. Suddenly, I slipped and fell down, water in the barrel totally poured down on the ground. I stepped on the platform carefully. After standing steadily and squatting down slowly, I hooked the barrel at the end of the rope and put the rope down slowly. I made an effort to drag the barrel up after it was filled with water. I was very careful because it was easy to slip and fall. Then, I carried the barrel of water and returned to my house. My figners were frozen stiff. I realized my effort was in vain. I hated myself.

I failed to finish the assignment but I did experience life through a trifle which seemed easy but difficult to do well. Such was my first experience of life.

这是我们寒假的第一天。我们大家都非常高兴。为什么?因为我们有一个月的事,我们喜欢做的。我们是免费的。虽然我们有一些功课。但我们可以在数天内完成这些。而其余的时间我们可以善用。我的上帝!我们已经非常疲倦拼命学习。在冬季假期,我希望能有充分的睡眠和良好的食物吃,以补充自己。最后但并非最不重要,我会好好休息。

星期天，是爸爸妈妈的休假日。在这难得的星期天里，我郑重其事地向爸爸妈妈提议：“为了促进家人之间互相关心、互相帮助的美德，我决定，我们今天来玩一个游戏，名字叫‘互相关心、互相帮助’!”

爸爸妈妈一听后，马上叫好：“好!立即开始吧!”我又清了清嗓子，大声说：“游戏规则是――我们各干一份家务活，谁先完成任务，就去帮助干的最慢的人，战胜另外一个人，明白吗?”“明白!”爸爸妈妈异口同声地回答道。“好!各就各位，3，2，1，开始!”我们三个就像离了弦的箭一般，飞快地跑去抓紧时间，各忙各的。

妈妈首先第一个奔向厨房，熟练地把碗从消毒柜里拿出来洗。虽然看上去慢条斯理的，可妈妈的动作非常麻利。爸爸呢，他奔向了洗手间，提了一桶水，然后向窗户走去，擦窗户。而我，却奔向了阳台，拿了拖把，去到洗手间洗拖把，然后拖地。“嘀哒、嘀哒”时间依然不慌不忙的走着，而我们却紧张的快透不过气来了。过了一会儿，果然不出我所料，妈妈首先冲线了，拿了第一名。她前脚不顾后脚地跑到可怜的我的身边，又弄来一个拖把，帮我完成这个简单而又艰巨的任务。眼看爸爸也快赢了，但我们还是加把劲，我们的脑袋还是想着超越他。因为，我和妈妈的心中都有一个共同的默契：紧要关头不放弃，绝望就会变成希望。最后，经过我和妈妈的拼搏奋斗，愿望终于实现了，我和妈妈赢了爸爸。而此时此刻的爸爸就像是一个泄了气的汽球一样，垂头丧气，怯怯地对我们说：“佩服佩服!以后的日子，还请多多指教!”逗得我和妈妈怀腹大笑。

这一天，是寒假里最有趣的一天。因为在着一天里，我们一家三口都懂得了家人与家人之间应该互相关心、互相帮助的美德。

The Dragon Boat Festival， also called the Duanwu Festival， is celebrated on

the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. This

festival is to commemorate the death of QU Yuan， an upright and honest poet and

statesman who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a

river.

The most important activity of this festival is the Dragon Boat races. It

symbolizes people‘s attempts to rescue Qu Yuan. In the current period， these

races also demonstrate the virtues of cooperation and teamwork.

Besides， the festival has also been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous

rice). Zongzi is made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and

wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. People who mourned the death of Qu threw Zong

zi into the river to feed his ghost every year.

With the changes of the times， the memorial turns to be a time for

protection from evil and disease for the rest of year. People will hang healthy

herbs on the front door to clear the bad luck of the house. Although the

significance of the festival might be different with the past， it still gives

the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural

heritage.

端午节，又称为端午节，定在第五个月的第五天据中国日历。这个节日是为了纪念屈原的死，一个忠厚老实的诗人和政治家据说在河流溺水自杀。

这个节日最重要的活动是龙舟竞赛。它象征着人们的努力救屈原。在当前时期，这些比赛也证明合作和团队合作的优点。

此外，节日还被吃的粽子(糯米)。粽子是糯米做的塞满了不同的馅料包在竹叶或芦苇叶。人哀悼屈原的死亡把粽子扔进河里喂他的鬼魂。

随着时代的变化，纪念转向防止邪恶和疾病是一个时间的。人们会把健康的草药挂在前门清理房子的坏运气。虽然这个节日的意义可能与过去不同，它仍然使观察者看到的机会丰富的中国文化遗产的一部分。
