母亲也在一旁说道：“孩子，你母亲当年嗓音也是一级棒，相信你会把母亲的梦想传承下去！”是啊！得了父母亲的鼓励心中确实坚定了许多，踏实了许多。于是，我埋起头来苦背歌词。一句得背三遍才能背熟，但我还是坚持不懈地背着学曲谱，三遍不行，就五遍、十遍，我仍是持之以恒地坚持着，因为我心中怀有梦想，怀有一个想在最高舞台上唱歌的伟大梦想。心中有了充实的准备，便不再害怕，不再彷徨，我正在等待，等待发挥自我的那一天。

在等待中，一年一度的“小歌星”歌咏比赛开始了。一年级、二年级的小弟弟、小妹妹也卖力地唱起来，这童稚的声音响遍了整个操场。轮到我了，本来不紧张的我，看到台下几百双眼睛，心中又忐忑不安起来。但想起父母的话，想起老师那个充满期盼的眼神，我的心也渐渐平静下来，进入状态后，随着优美旋律的响起，我忘记了一切，开始唱起“我张开翅膀，放飞美丽到整个世界……”我自己也陶醉了。歌声一结束，全场报以热烈的掌声，赛前的紧张随着掌声一起飞到九霄云外了。

事后，老师问我为什么平时不爱说话，而在比赛时却发挥得淋心尽致？我回答了一句：“人只要有梦想，就可以飞越一切障碍。”确实，经过这次比赛，我的胆子大了许多，也更加喜欢唱歌了。“我说风雨中这点痛算什么，擦干泪，至少我们还有梦……“唱着歌，我迈着大步，准备为自己的梦想而奋斗。

My grandfather is an eighty-year-old man. He always complains about how fast things have changed, and he often says that life used to be better.

Families aren’t families the way they used to be. A lot of families have broken down. If husband and wife have problems with their marriage, they no longer stay together. And mothers used to stay at home and take care of their children, but now not anymore. Everyone’s working. No one has time to look after children at home.

And the cars! No one walks anymore. Everyone drives. We used to walk five miles to school every day, even in winter. But now we don’t. And in school, the children don’t have to think anymore. In math class, for example, we used to add, subtract(减), multiply(乘) and divide(除) in our heads. Kids don’t use their heads anymore. Instead, they use calculators(计算器).

My DreamEveryone has a lot of dreams. Some people want to be rich, dreaming of becoming millionaires overnight. Others want to be famous, dreaming of suddenly jumping to great fame. I have a lot of dreams,too.

When I was a young girl, I dreamed of becoming a scientist like Hua Luogen in future.However, I knew very well that I could not succeed without painstaking efforts. So I studied hard in the middle school and college in order to attain my goal.After graduating from college, I found a job as a teacher.Although I was very busy with teaching, I never gave up my goal. I read a lot of books to get more knowledge. I made experiments to practise and apply what I had learnt from the books. Sometimes, I was so deeply indulged in my research that I forgot my meals and time.

Now I have made great progress. Several of my research papers have been published. The methods proposed in my papers have been proven to be valuable for the solution of some problems. I am very happy.The ladder of becoming a scientist is still far ahead, but I have climbed the first rung anyway.
