A good book may be among the best of friends. It is the same today that it

always was, and it will never change. It is the most patient and cheerful of

companions. It does not turn its back upon us in times of adversity or distress.

It always receives us with the same kindness; amusing and instructing us in

youth, and comforting and consoling us in age.

Men often discover their affinity to each other by the mutual love they

have for a book just as two persons sometimes discover a friend by the

admiration which both entertain for a third. There is an old proverb, ‘Love me,

love my dog.” But there is more wisdom in this:” Love me, love my book.” The

book is a truer and higher bond of union. Men can think, feel, and sympathize

with each other through their favorite author. They live in him together, and he

in them.

A good book is often the best urn of a life enshrining the best that life

could think out; for the world of a man’s life is, for the most part, but the

world of his thoughts. Thus the best books are treasuries of good words, the

golden thoughts, which, remembered and cherished, become our constant companions

and comforters.

Books possess an essence of immortality. They are by far the most lasting

products of human effort. Temples and statues decay, but books survive. Time is

of no account with great thoughts, which are as fresh today as when they first

passed through their author’s minds, ages ago. What was then said and thought

still speaks to us as vividly as ever from the printed page. The only effect of

time have been to sift out the bad products; for nothing in literature can long

survive e but what is really good.

Books introduce us into the best society; they bring us into the presence

of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we

see the as if they were really alive; we sympathize with them, enjoy with them,

grieve with them; their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were in a

measure actors with them in the scenes which they describe.

The great and good do not die, even in this world. Embalmed in books, their

spirits walk abroad. The book is a living voice. It is an intellect to which on

still listens.

Tuesday is my birthday , my boyfriend spent with me . This birthday is the

first birthday who spent with me . We had a good evening , he sent me a present

and we had a delicious dinner. I am very happy that my roommate also sent a

present to me .

I found something have become better , I believe the god is blessing me! He

gave me some hard things and bad luck ,then gave me happiness and lover .

I have touched with my good high school classmates ,they are also in

Shanghai.

I thank the god , he let me studay more in the society.( thank god for all

he let me study in the society.)I thank myself , I am a optimistic girl , I am a

idealism girl . I need more social experience.

Its winter vacation. I went to Grandpas house with my mother and sister for

the new year.

Pay New Years call people are hurrying to and fro. Novel coronavirus will

buddy this year. In order to prevent the virus, I can only stay at home

obediently. Although I cant go out, I can listen to my grandfathers stories at

home, and listen to his stories about the interesting things that happened when

I was a child, so that I can understand that I should cherish my life now and

study hard to realize my dream.

Through the TV broadcast, I learned that the virus was transmitted to human

beings by wild animals, so I hope that everyone will take good care of the wild

animals and not prey on them. Everyone should stay at home, wash hands

frequently, drink more water and try not to go out. Wear a mask when you go out.

Hope the angel in white can control the virus as soon as possible and return to

normal. Come on, Wuhan. Come on, mother China.

在无尽的学习生活中，我终于由一名小学生转变成了一名初中生。 In an endless learning life, I finally transformed from a elementary school student to a junior high school student.

上了一星期的课我心中有说不清的五味杂陈，酸、甜、苦、辣样样俱全。

在初中来了以后，我终于体验到了什么叫快节奏。小学一天只有六节课，到了中学课程明显增多了，小学时间安排的松散，到了中学课程安排的很满，就连上课布置的作业也要等到下课抽时间来做。压力越来越大，越来越让我有些吃不消，这只不过是开始，我不能输在起跑线上，在这种紧张的环境下我更应该认真，不能像小学那样懒散。

初中的学习真的跟小学不一样，就我最喜欢的体育课也变了样儿。现在的体育老师就是名震四方的刘老师，那嗓门，那架势，比三国里的黑脸的张飞。在他的课上没有阳光，就拿这几天来说，上体育课提前一分钟到操场集合，凡是没到的五圈。

为了不受罚，每当要是体育课时，直接放下手头的事飞奔到操场上集合。还有我们现在要重新学广播体操，在小学我们学这套操只要求会跳，没别的要求。到了这儿就没这么简单，每个动作都要求我们做到最好，一个动作没做好，就一直蹲着，而且还是全班一起，不管男女。这样的严格标准，既让我有些兴奋，又让我有些害怕。不过俗话说严师出高徒嘛!我也听说过被他教过的学生，现在都有多么的棒，我也盼着那天的到来。

早就听说过初中的“生存法则”。

记得有一次大扫除，我们先安排好一切，就开始扫地了，可刚扫了一会，我们几个男生便开始互相开玩笑，本来扫个地10分钟就可以完成，结果被我们硬生生的拖到了20分钟，打扫完后，我们并没有看书，而是继续玩了起来，时间一分一秒地溜走，我们的肚子也渐渐饿了。看看窗外，太阳已经没了影儿。我们这才知道已经吃不到饭了。

初中的生活和以前的是不大一样，既辛苦还要求严格，所以我以后更应该认真学习，就像仙人刺那样把根拼命地往下扎，这样才能在沙漠中生存下去。

童年是一道彩虹，五彩缤纷;童年是一个生活的调料包，酸甜苦辣，使我插着翅膀，飞过天空。我的童年有许许多多的事，其中有一件总是难以忘记。

在我6岁那年，妈妈出门买菜，因为下雨妈妈没带我，就剩下我一个人在家，在家里我不知道玩点什么好，突然看到妈妈的洗面奶，妈妈总说里面是牛奶，我有点不相信，就把妈妈的洗面奶倒进垃圾桶里。心想反正妈妈跟我说这里面是牛奶不让我动，这次趁妈妈不在家，我把牛奶装到里面妈妈也不知道。开始行动说干就干，我开了一杯纯牛奶，倒进洗面奶瓶子里，心想等妈妈回来就说我自己喝了一杯牛奶。

很快做完了，心里有点紧张，一切就序我又坐在书桌旁若无其事看图画书，等到妈妈一到家，我像平常一样去迎接她。妈妈吸了吸鼻子说：“怎么这么香呀?”我赶紧说：“我也不知道，我一直在房间里看书。”

晚上洗澡时，妈妈发现瓶子里装的是牛奶，问我怎么回事，看到妈妈急切的样子，只好说出真相了。妈妈说：“哦，你就是好奇，看来以后不能骗你呀!”

这件事虽然过去了很久，但只要一想起来，就会情不自禁笑起来，那时的我真是又可爱又可笑呀!
