Last weekend, I wanted to swim in the river that I usually wen in the

childhood. When I went there, I was shock. The river is no longer like before.

It was full of rubbish. It seemed that the rubbish is from the villagers

themselves. In order to put the rubbish nearer, they put all of them into the

river. Not only the water is not clean any more, the river also smelt bad. I

real touched. Why human and the environment couldn’t live harmonious? Long time

ago, they could get along with each other. Why not now? People have to stop

Many years ago, some scholars were strongly against the certification of

English test that was a must for a student to get the degree. So some colleges

that swimming skill is necessary for degree. It has been the hot issue, then

On the one hand, some people are favorable of this regulation, because

swimming skill is really important. Most of the accidents happened in the river.

The swimming skill can protect them from dying. What’s more, foreign schools

take the swimming class as the regular lesson. So almost every foreign kid can

swim, which is the basic skill.

On the other hand, some people argue that even the student can’t swim, they

can’t be denied by lacking the swimming skill. They need the degree to find a

job. They are equipped with many skills and are capable of a lot of things.

Their ability has nothing to do with swimming skill.

I think that school should open the class for students to learn swimming

skill. If they fail, they still can make up by learning other lesson. The degree

can be got by many ways.

female stars as the most beautiful scenery are always the media’s beloved. When

these women were asked to give advice to the young girls, they give their

opinions. The most common advice is that every girl should just be themselves

Xiamen is a major city on the southeast coast of the Peoples Republic of

Recently, it has been reported that a boy argued with his father and then

he left home and the policed found him, taking him home after half a month. It

sounds so ridiculous for the boy to leave home for such a long time, but

thinking further, the lack of communication between the father and the son makes

this joke. There always some people wonder why we need to get higher education,

because we may not earn money as much as the workers. In my opinion, the purpose

of education is not for the money, but for the better person we will become. If

Important to save water

Water is a kind of liquid. It has no taste or smell. It is transparent, too. Water is useful and is important to us. Why? For example, we use water to water the plants. We use water to wash our face or to have a bath. We drink water or we will die…Water is also very important for China. There are 2.8 hundred millions of steres of water in China, but everyone can only use 2300 steres. It is only twenty–five per sent in the world.

Not too long ago, there was a man called Jacques Cousteau. He loved the beautiful colors, and the beautiful fish in the sea. However, when he returned some years later, the colorful coral reefs were dead and grey because the factory near the sea poured waste water into the sea. Jacques Cousteau decided to tell people how important it was to save the environment under the sea. He started the“ Cousteau Society ” to help protect life in the sea. Now there are over 30000 members all over the world. Since water covers most of the earth, Cousteau knew that we should keep the sea clean. We should not litter the sea, and should clean up the dirty parts. As water is very important to our environment, he encouraged everyone to take part in protecting our lakes, rivers, sea and ocean.

There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! People always believe that when there is pressure, there is motivation, it

seems that pressure equals motivation. We need pressure, it makes us keep move

on, with pressure, we know what to do and how to fulfill our targets. Without

pressure, we are just like a child, never grow up, having no idea of

responsibility. It is pressure that makes us become mature, we should have

pressure, it indeed equals motivation at the certain level. While having too

much pressure is bad for our mind, it is just like a burden that presses our

mind, making people hard to take a breath. Nowadays the case of people commit

nature. Therefore, I think our society is a part of nature. People should live

harmoniously with nature. All the materials we need to live with come from

human beings require much more natural resources than before, which lead to

It is well known that exercise is important. In our school, we have to do an hours exercise every day. Many students are very happy. how time flies! i’m very glad to hear from you again. you want to know what is going on in schools in china? in a word, everything has changed. every school takes part in the campaign of reducing learning load. in the past, i used to study until 11:30 on weekends. but now i can arrange things on my own, such as reading books, visiting museums, or taking computer lessons in my weekend days. in the evening i can watch news on tv or read newspapers. what’s more, my parents support me. they said although i was a student, i didn’t have to work all day long. i think the idea of reducing learning load is well accepted by everyone.

Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.

Not only children, but most grown-ups also love Halloween and Halloween parties because on this day,they can disguise themselves as personages or ghost as their imaginations will lead them. This bring them the satisfaction of being young.

Since I go to middle school, I stay away from home and live in school from

Monday to Friday. The first time for me to leave home made me felt so lonely. I

did not have friends here and no one to count on. But I told myself that I

needed to try to be independent. So I solved all the problems by myself, I

washed my own clothes and cleaned the bed, which were done by my mother before.

I found that I could take care of myself without my parents’ help. What’s more,

I made good friends here, we had the same interest and we helped each other in

ChengDu is a wonderful place located in Sichuan province.This city is well

decorated and designed which attrects lots of tourists every year.

Before I go to middle school, I live with my grandparents in thehometown.

It is the most beautiful place for me in the world. The environment is so clean.

There are so many trees around me and the water is so clean that I can even see

fish swimming. Sometimes I will go boating with my friends in the small river. I

Today is Dragon Boat Festival. My mother let me watch the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival from the computer. In fact, it was a memorial to Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan was a patriot. He wanted to make his country strong and often give advice to the king, but the king did not like to listen and he drove him out of the country.

Once the Qin state came to the state of Chu, the state of Chu was quickly defeated, the country was soon lost, and Qu Yuan was more sad. everywhere. The preservation of the traditional culture is the key to help the

country live so long. After the long period of time, the essence of the culture

part have been inherited while the negative part has been removed. Many culture

even influences the foreign country, such as Confucius Institution, where

foreigners learn Chinese culture and mandarin. Though we are facing the impact

of Hollywood culture, the traditional festivals provides an important way to

save local culture.
