Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in

Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University.

After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in

Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a

two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist

entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37

patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital

and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and

advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the

acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field

unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would

therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH

as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study

in Britain for two years.

away to Egypt and before that he said to the prince, “I am going to fly away to

Egypt today and…” “Oh please little swallow, oh please can you stay with me for

one last night?” but the swallow was very satisfied, “But, dear prince; I can’t

do that, my friends are waiting for me and it is getting colder and colder here;

I have to go to Egypt, where the sun is hot, and it is warm and cool there;”

“You must little swallow, you must stay with me for one last night,” “Dear

prince, I couldn’t and…” “Swallow this can’t be, you have to stay with me; I

command you!” the little swallow had no choice but to obey.

“Okay prince, what is your command?” “See that poor little girl on the

“What a picky girl!” when he flew back, he didn’t tell the prince the message

that he had just received from the little girl; but he still was very cold.

He knew that since he did not help the poor little girl, he felt bad; and

so that was the reason why he was cold. He was very sad; and when he was about

to fly to Egypt, the prince said to the swallow, “I see that you are very sad

these days; I wonder what is the matter, tell me?” the swallow did not speak,

the prince forced the swallow to tell him; but he still didn’t say anything. At

last the prince said, “If you don’t tell me I will put dynamites on your head

and blow you up! I was trying to help you!”

At these words the swallow was so scared that he said out loud, “I heard

the little girl say that that wasn’t enough to pay for his father, and so I

didn’t tell you because I thought that you would not like it and…”

“Oh my dear swallow, why on earth would you think I will not help a little

girl? And why on earth would you not tell me about this?” the spell was broken,

the prince turned to real life, and jumped down from the statue’s stand, “Thank

you dear swallow, you have broke the spell, and now I can live on land once

more.

That was the end of the happy prince. During the lives when he was a golden

statue, he realized how important everybody was to him, and that how important

helping people is.

On the top of the mountain hill lived a little boy called Marlin. He was a

jolly fellow that helped people when they were in need.

The only problem was, whenever there was somebody in need, he would give

them something to eat so as to solve their problems. The people in his country

soon became sick of this, and so wanted him to stop. But Marlin just won’t; and

went on helping and helping and helping… nobody knew when he was going to stop,

or when they were going to let him know that they didn’t want him to bother all

Marlin did anything he could to earn money: Sweep the floor, clean his

room; grow plants, water them, and cut flowers for the house. When he had

already $90, he had decided to help other people. When it was already winter, he

took a shovel and helped his neighbors, friends to shovel snow; and they paid

him a great deal of money.

At last, Marlin had got enough money; he was so excited that he hopped here

and there ten times! Finally, he went to the store near Sunshine school, and

bought the music box, and then handed it to the same boy at his home. Marlin

soon became famous, and he was called, ‘Marlin Blavatsky.’

I, a girl with short hair, under the care of parents, in full 11 years old

this year.

With 11 years of faults: a careless, harm to me the most bitter, he let me

with a full pass by, let me wrong a 39 + 26 addition topic; Let me see the plus

sign as a minus sign, the division sign as a multiplication sign; Let me

actually took the math book on Chinese classes; He even want me to write in

Chinese this math homework! Im fed up with him over the years, determined to put

him out of the "home".

In recent years, careless a whim, let me put the eye became nearly three

不管你是否准备好了，都必须去面对一切。时间不会因为你而大发慈悲，“你还没准备好，我停下来等你两年吧。”不会的，永远不会出现这种情况。既然如此，那为什么你不提前做好准备呢?

其实，写这封信的主要目的是想要提醒你，不要忘记下面几件事情：

第一，20年后，你早已离开校园，开始在社会上打拼。初入社会，难免会经历一些挫折，你会因为那些挫折而放弃努力，从而认定自己不是成大事的人吗?不，你不会的。谁的人生会一帆风顺呢?失败是成功之母，怎么可以因为一些挫折，就轻易失去信心呢?要记得，可以输给对手，但不能输给自己。

第二，20年后，或许，你已经组建了一个小家庭，有了自己的小孩。还记得中学那段不幸的经历吗?因为你的胆小、懦弱，被同学欺负。你愿意让你的小孩重蹈覆辙吗?如果不愿意的话，那请做出一些有成就的事情，首先让自己变得胆大坚强，让你的小孩以你为荣，让他可以自豪地向小伙伴们炫耀，“看，那本小说，是我爸爸写的......”高子新，你能做到吗?我相信你能做到。

第三，20年后，父亲已经快要进入花甲之年，也该好好享受晚年了。想想爸爸这一辈子可真不容易，为了你拼命工作，你作为他的长子，也是他的依靠，你一定要好好孝敬他，让他度过一个安乐的晚年。

对了，你也要孝敬妈妈，偶尔抽出时间陪她唠叨一下，相信，她一定会被感动，会很开心的。

第四，20年后，爷爷奶奶或许已经不在了。还记得吗?小时候，是谁照顾你的?是爷爷奶奶。不要总想着等自己功成名就，取得一些成就之后，再报答他们，俗话说：“子欲养而亲不待”。他们可能等不到那一天。趁他们还健在，多陪陪他们，和爷爷逛街解闷，帮奶奶做一些力所能及的家务......

第五，20年后，你还会懦弱吗?不，经过20年的洗礼，你已经是顶天立地的男人，因为你已经迈出挑战自己的一步。记得舅舅曾对我说过，每个人所害怕的事物，其实都不像他所想的那样可怕，人们都是被自己的想象吓怕的。

每个人身上都有弱点，谁都可能输给自己。其实输给对手一点也不可怕，怕就怕你输给自己。

是的，如果一个人总是被自己打败，总是战胜不了自己，那么最弱小的对手也能轻易地将他打败。

高子新，你战胜自己了吗?你如果战胜自己，人人都将对你赞不绝口，相信这一幕一定会在20年后出现的!但这仅仅是一个开始，绝不是最后的结局。

你好!

此刻的我是一个小“神经病”患者。我在校园是一位十分上进的人，学习上总是想尽一切办法去解决任何难题，与朋友关系融洽。而在家里就是另一个人了。不爱学习，总是像傻子一样嘿嘿的笑，但一旦写起作业就不是人了，是一个疯子，十分认真，一丝不苟，虽说有点小问题，但还是不错的。此刻的你必须是一位十分严谨，缜密的法医吧!

说了这么多了你该不耐烦了，那我来描绘一下未来的你吧!你扎着干练的马尾，穿着一身白色的医生装，或者是穿着手术服，手拿解剖刀，解剖尸体。要么被上司骂了，也有可能尸检报告出错了，但就应不可能出现这么低级的错误，出现了我就不饶你了。我都不犯那毛病了，你还犯，该打!
