大概在五六年前，有一本《考拉小巫的英语学习日记》的书横扫几大论坛，好评如潮，销量达百万册。作者叫考拉小巫，是伊甸园字幕组组长，写书的时候已经逆袭成功，到美国求学。

这本书在豆瓣上的评价很高，万人以上评价，评分8.1，相当不错的成绩。这本书即是一本收录了她实战经验的外语学习招法集，也是她自我的回忆录，一部从差生到优生的奋斗史和逆袭史。考拉小巫本科不是特别好，后来通过努力，出国留学，攻下硕士学位。作者考拉小巫在整本书中都流露出一种真实的态度，行就行，不行就不行。阅读整本书就感觉在和读者的内心进行一次真诚的对话。看他人的人生，用于反思自己。几年前我也读过，几年后重读此书，自然也有一些新的感悟。

关于坚持

现在最新的成功学都提到了一件事，就是专注加坚持，尤其是坚持。我们中大多数人的努力其实都没有达到需要拼天赋的程度。什么时候才是拼天赋的时候?梅西和C罗那个层次，天赋才可能会起到决定性作用，不要忘记C罗是一个极度自律的人，他走向人生巅峰绝对于此不无关系。

考拉小巫在自己的书中里面无数次提到她自创的“傻子哲学”。她说“傻子为什么能成功，因为他很傻，不管做不做成他都一直在坚持”。很多人学外语可能最多两个月就坚持不下去了，我想说，母语者以高负荷的方式训练了几十年的技能，你一业余选手凭什么和人家比。

关于发音和模仿

她在书中着重强调了是语调问题。这个问题是绝大多数中国英语学习者忽略了的问题。因为汉语是声调语言，单个字的声调以固定频率的形式出现，所以句子的语调基本是平的。很多外语学习者可能不知道，英语语调有传递情绪的功能，语调变化甚至能传递说话人的潜台词，比如：反语、讽刺、犹豫、建议等等。错误的语调会让听话人疑惑。考拉小巫的纠正方法是录音，和原文对比。不过几年之后的今天有简单的解决办法，下个配音软件，一切就OK了。

光比对原声不行，还得改善，考拉小巫的方式简单粗暴，就两个字——模仿。

口语自我修炼法

考拉小巫用方法的核心和十二国外语大神本尼·刘易斯的“一分钟迷你讲话稿”不谋而合。也是准备一些小的短文，从向对方描述自己的一天，从这些简单的开始，慢慢加大难度，用口语去形容一个事物和形容一个人物。后面开始甚至还要求举实例论证，最后是现学现用，把学过的词马上使用起来。

隐藏的听写大法

考拉小巫有字幕组的经历，我认为这可能是她英语突飞猛进的一个关键因素。她在做电影字幕，很多时候有听译，听译实际上我们平时的听写是差不多的，而且字幕是要见人的，所以从头到尾容不得一点马虎，可以说，考拉小巫在强迫自己一次一次做高强度听写+理解输出。而且在听译这么多电影的过程中，她一定大量有反复听同一电影的经历。所以，她被她嚼烂了的电影的量，甚至高过一部分人泛读的量。精听精读是提高技能的一个关键步骤，如果她精听的量超过了普通人精读的量，那么我们有理由相信，她至少在接收信息这一方面，有了很大的提高。

关于词汇量的论述

在这本书中，考拉小巫研究来研究去，最后发现影响阅读速度的第一大天敌还是词汇量的问题。她引用了一句话说：“GRE的单词是有用的，在美国读研究生的时候自然就知道了”。

被忽视的机械练习

现在我们提得最多的是刻意练习，学外语都想到的是克拉申、交际法等等。殊不知刻意练习的基础是机械练习，习得一切复杂技能的基础也是机械练习。没有把单个子技能练到炉火纯青，是逃不出舒适区的，更不用说把各个子技能最后串联起来，形成我们所说的技能。考拉小巫说她初中一个吴姓老师奉行fifty

climbing The Great Wall

During the summer holidays， my fahter and I visited Beijing. On the second day after we got to Beijing， the guide took us to climb the Great Wall. On that day， it was sunny. It took us forty minutes to reach the foot of the Great Wall. It was for the first time that I saw the Great Wall. Oh， how grand and magnificent it is!

I couldn‘t wait to climb upward， taking my father‘s hand. How many people climbing the Great Wall are! My father and I took photos among the crowd as we climbed. After half an hour. It was cooler than yesterday. One of my father’s friends invited me to eat red bayberries. You must know it is unusual. Because we will climb the hill to eat red bayberries. There is no chance to eat red bayberries in the hill for the people who don’t live in Beijing. On the hill, you can breathe the fresh air, you can listen birds singing and you can eat red bayberries. It was enjoyable. It is said there are wild pigs in the hill. What a beautiful natural.

Today I found time was a cruel thing. Whatever man is, time always goes on. It won’t stay to wait for somebody. You can’t use anything to exchange time. Time is also a fair thing. Although you have a lot of money or you enjoy high reputation, time won’t leave them more. Today I found I hadn’t enough time. Although I have 50-day holiday, but I found I had a lot of things to do. January 23

I have rested for 10 days. In these days, I felt very bored. I didn’t know to do what. Although I had a lot of things to do, I felt uncomfortable. I was ill because of the cold weather. 书中的“傻子哲学”很有意思：为什么傻子能成功，是因为傻子很傻，他不管自己是不是能做成，也不管别人怎么笑话他，也不管遇到多少困难，他只是一个人傻头傻脑地一直做。而聪明人很聪明，他总是会考虑自己目前的目标对不对，会不会有更好的办法，能不能抄捷径省时间。最后，聪明人选了一条路又一条路，每条路都刚走了一点点就又换，所以，他总是在离起点不远的地方徘徊。而傻子却在一条路上一直走，虽然他速度慢，但他一直都在坚持。最后，傻子比聪明人先到达了终点。”其实傻子的哲学不复杂，就两个字“坚持”。

生活中有很多这样的聪明人，这样的人真的很搞笑，事情没做之前，总担心这害怕那，担心会失败，你把时间花在无谓的担心上，根本都还没做，当然不可能成功，有时候我们需要点傻子精神，一根筋到底。

这是书中最让我感动的一幕：十二月里天气越来越冷，楼道里也很冷，但是我每天都把板凳从自习室里搬出来，坐在楼道的走廊里，把电脑架腿上，一边计时连口语题，一边给自己录音。说一道录一道，录完以后认真听，不满意了就重录，每道题都是录到自己完全满意的地步才继续下一题。当时我一直在矫正牙齿，满嘴上下都戴着布满细铁丝的牙套。由于练口语的缘故，嘴唇和舌头总是被无数次划破，一被冷风吹就特别疼，吃饭的时候也很困难，经常饿肚子。

the secret of success (the key to success) is not so much money as a strong will. a great man is one who has a strong will and an indomitable spirit. in other words,if a man does not have a strong will to win (get) the final victory,he will never succeed in his life. he is no more than a failure.it is quite obvious that there is no difficult thing (nothing difficult) in the world. if you make up your mind to do it,you will certainly accomplish your end. that stands to reason.

成功的要诀不是金钱而是一个坚强的意志(用not so mush... as)。一个大人物是一个具有坚强意志和不屈不挠精神的人。换句话说，如果一个人没有坚强意志去获得最后胜利的人，他终其一生永远不会成功。他只不过是(用no more than)一个失败者。很显明的世界上并没有难事。如果你下定决心去做它，你一定会达到目的。那是显而易见的。
