The First Day in New Term

Today is September 3rd, the first day of the new semester. I am happy to see all of my classmates come back to school. Today is the first day for school, so we get our new textbooks. 期盼已久的元宵节终于到了，人们兴高采烈地以各种方式来庆祝这个欢乐的日子。我们一家人约好一起放烟花孔明灯。

来到广场，这里已经是人山人海，我们穿过人群，买了一个孔明灯，我提着孔明灯，妈妈拿着笔，在孔明灯上写上了愿望。我把孔明灯撑开，它慢慢变成一个圆柱体，爸爸把酒精块放在小钩上，用火机把它点燃。一分钟、两分钟、三分钟……我才慢慢地松开手，孔明灯也慢慢地升上了天空，越飘越远，慢慢变成了小红点，最后不见了。原来放孔明灯也需要耐心呀！

我们放完了孔明灯又去放烟花。点燃烟花，“嘭！”一个小黄点瞬间在空中炸出一朵荷花，揭开了序幕，紧接着各种形状的烟花轮番上阵，将天空化为争奇斗艳的舞台。

Late for School

I was fifteen minutes late for school this morning. I usually go to school

by bike. But this morning there was something wrong with my bike. It didnt work

on the way to school. I had to have it repaired. So I had to take a bus. It took

me about twenty minutes to get to school. When I arrived at the school gate, it

was 8:15. I was afraid when I entered the classroom, because Mr. Zhang is very

strict with us. Luckily, he was not angry with me this time.
