I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. 话长话短

小巷的深处是家面店，主人是位老人。

面店是没有招牌的。每当清晨，小巷的人们尚未起身，面店的门就开了。那面香，便从小门中涌出，漫到每家的窗台。于是，人们被香味从睡梦中拖也，走进小店，端坐于桌前，等待着自己的一碗清香。这时，我才洞悟：此店若有了招牌，便俗了。

满眼金黄的麦子呵!

但外公并没有笑。他干皱的嘴巴在风里微微颤着。风倒是清爽，可此时吹在他脸上，显得苍凉。天暗下来，灯光星星点点被夜引亮，风吹进外公心里，绕了十八个弯子愣是没绕出来。

收成好，麦子却卖不出去了。这对于农人来说，是无比煎熬的。外公是拿捏过故事的人，饥荒岁月曾经慢慢熬过，眼前的困境无疑打不垮外公。

外公并不识字，但不乏智慧。这智慧，常常从麦香里飘出。

金黄的麦子们很快被处理。它们脱去了壳儿被不停地、一道一道地碾压，变成碎儿，变得末儿。麦子粉出来了。

外公眉眼弯弯，喜不自禁。他征得家里人同意，买来器械，将麦子粉进行深加工，再出售。这样一来，麦子都能卖出去了。他还替村里别的人家加工麦子。小小成本，又做了好事，外公乐得自在。

外公留了些麦子粉，做成不同样的食品吃。虽是同样的原料，但尝起来还真是不重味，妙得很。

冬日的阳光斜斜地射进了院墙，腊肉香肠悠闲地挂在竹篙上晃荡，它们早已被阳光和风熏出了紧瘦的奇香。外公把秋天里收的麦子碾成的麦粉炒熟，又和上各种不知名的食材，做成他自创的糕点。一盘腊肉，一碟香肠，一碗外公自创小糕点，他的日子活色生香起来。

麦子卖不出去，外公用智慧将它们抬得高高的。麦子们也好不骄傲。可充满智慧的外公能改变所有麦子的命运吗?他总是叹气，可惜了这些好东西，可惜了他们在田地里弯得直不起来的腰!

他开始鼓动村委，将他的创意和想法带到更多的地方。麦子壳能做枕头芯，麦子粉能做蛋糕，麦子炒香了存起来做大麦香茶也是极有味的……他说得头头是道，他说得真诚恳切。他的不依不饶让我心疼起来，他的话里饱含了无奈与不舍。
