今天就是英语外研比赛的日子了，我被安排在下午2.30那场，老妈的单位离考场比较近，上午我便跟她去单位值班。

这是初赛，演讲的内容是自我介绍加才艺表演。我看到有的选手准备得真棒!不光自己化了淡妆，还梳了很复杂很漂亮的辫子，有的还穿了美丽的裙子。有不少同学手里拿了画板，上面是他们精心绘制的图画，他们边指着自己的画边小声念着英语，看来他们的才艺表演一定是用英语介绍自己的画了。而我的才艺显得多么的微不足道，我只打算读一首英文小诗。

上午考完的同学在群里发来信息，他们说很简单，评委主要看你的口语能力，觉得背不好的，也可以直接读，我终于有了一些安心。

my summer vacation of this year was very enjoyable. i went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays. it is very beautiful there. there are green plants, clear rivers, lovely animals kind people. i spent two weeks helping my grandfather do some farm work there. i wrote down what happened in my diary every day.

稀里糊涂的，我已经站在了起跑线后面。

“预备——”一……二……三……也许是太急，数快了吧，按老师的法子默数了三秒后，发令枪并没有响起。是……出了什么事儿?我悄悄瞄了眼两旁，见个个严阵以待的样子，也顾不上去想发令枪为什么慢了，赶忙把视线聚焦到塑胶跑道上，竖起耳朵细细地听，生怕漏了声儿，起跑慢了，可不亏大了!

好似迈过了一个春华秋实，“呼!”我凭着本能冲了出去。

加速!加速!再加速!脚一次次用力蹬下，“咚!咚!咚!”

加速!加速!再加速!风在耳边狰狞地咆哮，怒吼。“呼!呼!呼!”

加速!加速!再加速!感觉自己飞起来了!

就那么“飞”着，我做梦似的狂奔过了终点线，一时竟没刹住，一把扑在了送水的同学身上，如梦方醒。

听旁边的同学吵闹着，知道自己没拿第一，说不失落是假的，毕竟也曾付出了挺多的。但，比赛嘛，有赢有输很正常，我释然了。

环顾四周，因为这次运动会，操场上人流窜动，有学生，有老师，有领导，有家长;有笑着的，有哭着的，有看热闹的，有安慰同学的……一群群少年，尽情挥洒着青的汗水，似那刚出头的花儿草儿，似那即将展翅的雄鹰，活力无穷。

I learn swimming because I think swimming fun.
