每逢春节，家家户户都要精选一副春联，贴在自家门的两旁，增添喜庆的气氛。关于与贴春联，还有一个传说呢！

有一个鬼域，鬼魂都居住在那里，那些鬼魂只有在夜间才能到人居住的地方。鬼域当中有座山，山上有一棵覆盖三千里的大桃树，树梢上有一只神鸡，每当清晨神鸡长鸣的时候，夜晚出去游荡的鬼魂必须赶回鬼城。鬼域的大门在桃树的东北方，门边站着两个神仙，名叫神荼、郁垒。如果有鬼魂在夜间干了什么坏事，神荼、郁垒就会立即把它捉住，用芒苇做的绳子捆绑起来，送去喂神虎。因此天底下的鬼都害怕神荼、郁垒。于是民间就用桃木刻成神荼、郁垒的模样挂在自家的门上，以避邪防灾，这就是桃符，也就是门神。后来，人们干脆在桃符上刻上神荼和郁垒的名字，认为这一样能镇邪驱灾。

到了宋朝了呢，人们便在桃符上刻上富有辟邪、祈福、求运寓意的诗词，挂在门上，一来，还可以辟邪去灾。二来，能表达自己的美好心愿。这样就形成了最初的春联。后来，人们又将桃木换成了表示喜庆吉祥的大红纸，在红纸上写春联，在除夕夜贴到门窗两旁。

年年我们家都贴春联，今年春联的上联是：虎去雄风在。下联是：兔来喜气浓。横批：越过越好。门心是一个兔子形状的福字，可爱又喜庆。年三十儿，我帮着妈妈一起贴春联。我一手拿着剪刀，一手拿着胶带纸。我们很快分好了上下联，正要往上贴的时候，我和妈妈却发生了矛盾。妈妈说上联应该贴左边，我说上联应该贴右边，我们各执己见，互不相让。于是我提议找“专家”去电脑上查。用百度搜索以后，发现电脑上什么说法都有，让我哭笑不得，有的说左为上，上联应该贴左边；有的说右为上，上联应该贴右边；还有的和稀泥说：现在是个个性化的社会，左右都无所谓，过去是从右到左书写，现在是从左到右书写……不一而足。看完之后，不但没有清楚反而更糊涂了，真是一头雾水！过大年了，为了让妈妈高兴，我们还是把上联贴在了左边。

春节踏着农历12月24日零时的钟声，走入桂林的城乡。这天是桂林人的“小年夜”，也就是“过小年”。过小年这天，人们宰狗、杀鸭，庆贺春节来临。这天的爆竹声，带着人们送灶王爷“上天言好事”的心愿噼哩啪啦地炸响，声传高宇。人们认为灶神是一家之主，一家的善恶功过祸福都由它掌管，所以每年将尽，都要送灶神上天向玉帝奏明，为全家降福免灾。祭灶的仪式多由家里的长辈去办，他们将糖果放在灶头祭祀灶神，祈求灶神“上天言好事，下凡降吉祥”。用糖果祭灶神，目的是让糖“粘住”灶神的嘴巴，让他甜甜的嘴巴尽说好话。除夕夜幕降临后，再放爆竹接灶王爷下凡。这是桂林“过小年”的古俗，现在即便是鸣放鞭炮，也仅是古俗遗存的仪式罢了。

其实汤圆的做法也很简单。这第一步，当然就是和面了。面和好以后，就可以取下一块，或大或小都可以，然后将它捏成一个厚度中等的小饼子，再将原有的汤圆馅儿放一些在小饼子的中央，接着将小饼子慢慢地团起来，先团成碗状，最后团成球状。而第二步，就可以将这些做好的汤圆放在有着开水的锅中煮，直到煮熟为止。

汤圆一出锅，顿时就香气四溢，让人闻了就垂涎三尺。

终于可以吃汤圆啦!此时的我，心情可真的是兴高采烈，迫不及待地想要吃到今天的汤圆。过了一会儿，餐桌旁的人都到齐了，汤圆也一碗一碗地端了出来。我手里拿着筷子，看着碗里那又鼓又热的汤圆，心里总是热乎乎的。——实在等不下去了，于是我从碗中夹起一只汤圆，然后小心翼翼地咬了一口。哇塞!这味道简直是美不可言哪!那软软的面皮，还有那又香又甜的馅儿，直朝我的喉咙“奔去”。这滋味，可真是给人一种腾云驾雾、飘飘欲仙的感觉。

佛山的春节一般在农历的二十几就开始了。主要的活动包括逛花街，办年货等。佛山人喜爱逛花街，久而久之，这便成了佛山人过春节必不可少的活动。因此，按历代习俗，都会举行一次年宵花市。

“年廿八，洗邋遢”这句是广东话。佛山人会在农历二十八的时候把家里的每一个角落打扫得干干净净。把这一年不好的东西去除掉，迎接新年的来临。年前，佛山人还会开油锅、蒸年糕。开油锅炸蛋散、油角、煎堆等，寓意来年的日子像只油锅，油油润润，富富足足。佛山人还爱蒸年糕，寓意年年高。
