英雄情怀之所以成为情怀，正在于有千千万万中国人认同它，追随它。英雄情怀本质是源于爱国主义，其体现的是中国人共同所秉承的一种“报国行赴难，古来皆共然。”的理想信念。回望历史长河，中国从来就不是一个缺少英雄的国家，古有岳飞杨家将精忠报国，近有八路军“狼牙山五壮士”邱少云为国抛头颅、洒热血，这些英雄就是中国人不畏强暴、以身殉国的杰出代表。对于英雄的认可和追随本身就是对中华民族精神的追随。
