Far and away the most important holiday in China is Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year. To the Chinese people it is as important as Christmas to people in the West. the dates for this annual celebration are determined by the lunar calendar rather than the GREgorian calendar, so the timing of the holiday varies from late January to early February.

To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the lunar New Years Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar. But the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the Lantern Festival, means the official end of the Spring Festival in many parts of the country.

There are many traditional festivals, such as Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival China.

But I like best is in the traditional festivals -- the Dragon Boat festival. The Dragon Boat Festival custom is to eat dumplings. 每一个家庭都发生过很多有趣的故事，我们家也不例外，而且我们家的故事还和别人不同呢!

去年过春节的时候，正月初一，我们全家一起到人民公园去玩，那里热闹非凡，我玩的不想回家了。因为初二要去千佛山，爸爸说早点回家休息。我正玩在兴头上，本来很高兴的，可爸爸偏让我回家。我非常恼火，就和爸爸赌气，要挟他：“不玩就不玩!明天我不去千佛山了!”爸爸忍不下去，大吼一声：“好的!你明天就别想去千佛山了!在家里乖乖做作业、背英语!”本来我是想吓唬一下爸爸，那不想偷鸡不成，倒蚀一把米。我失声痛哭起来，心里委屈的不的了。大过年的，想痛痛快快玩玩儿都不成!哼!我越想越生气。

那天晚上，我躲在被子里哭了很久。姐姐看见我一直蒙在被子里哭，很心疼我，就帮我去求爸爸。过了一会儿她来告诉我：“别哭了，爸爸答应了，明天带你去千佛山。”

初二那天，爸爸果然带我们去了千佛山，那里下着大雪，白皑皑的，真是粉妆玉砌的世界。我们来到千佛山大门口，深一脚浅一脚地踩在雪地里，踩的雪咯吱咯吱地响，好玩儿极了。我们还没爬上山就无路可走了，不过我们非常开心，干脆借来滑雪板，在山坡上滑雪。我们还打了雪仗、堆了雪人、放了鞭炮，兴奋的不可开交。在我们痛痛快快玩儿的时候，爸爸给我们照了好多像，最后，我们还在千佛山的雪地里照了全家福，留为纪念。

看到这张全家福，我就想到了去年春节发生的事，还真为自己任性，哭鼻子感到不好意思呢!不过千佛山的雪景给我留下了美好的回忆!
