一、日记的格式

英文日记通常由书端和正文两个部分组成。日记常以第一人称记下当天生活中的所见、所闻、所做或所想的事情。中、英文的日记三格式大致一样。英语日记的书端 是专门写日记的日期、星期和天气的。左上角是日期(年、月、日)、星期。右上角写上当天的天气情况, 如:Sunny,Fine,Rainy,Windy,Snowy,Cloudy等。

1、日期表达有多种形式。年、月、日都写时,通常以月、日、年为顺序,月份可以缩写,日和年用逗号隔开。例如:

A)September 1,2004或September 1st,2004也可省略写成Sept. 1,2004或Sept. 1st,2004;the 1st of September in 2004(月份不可以缩写)

B)只有月、日:September 1或September 1st(月份可以缩写)

C)只有年、月:September 2004或the September of 2004(月份不可以缩写)

以上的1或1st都应读作the first.

2、星期也可以省略不写,可将其放在日期前或后,星期和日期之间不用标点,但要空一格,星期也可缩写。如:

3.天气情况必不可少。天气一般用一个形容词如:Sunny,Fine,Rainy,Snowy 等表示。写在日期之后,用逗号隔开,位于日记的右上角。如:

二、日记的要求

日记的正文是日记的主要部分,写在星期和日期的正下方,可以顶格写,也可以内缩3至5个字母的空间。由于记载的内容通常已经发生,谓语动词多用一般过去 时。但也可根据具体情况,用其它时态。如:记叙天气、描写景色,为了描写生动,可以使用现在时,以表现当时的情景。再如文后发表感想或评论可用现在时态或 将来时态。记日记力求简单明了,有连贯性。若有文字提示,则应重视提示,把握要点。在句式上尽量使用简单句,以防繁杂,造成语法、句型错误。

三、日记的类型和训练

一是通过词汇教学训练写作能力。要写好文章不是一朝一夕就能达到的,必须从最基础的词汇入手。教学中,教师要注意加强词汇方面的训练,力求给学生交代清楚每一个词语的具体用法。对一些重点的、核心的词汇讲清,讲透每个词语的单独用法和搭配用法。为了更有效地与课本结合起来,每学完一个单元,根据本单元的单词、短语造句,举一反三,帮助学生扩大词汇量,使学生词不离句,强化写作训练。

二是通过一句多译练习训练写作能力。就七年级学生而言,他们虽然接触英语学习时间不长,但教师还是要注重引导学生多做一些一句多译练习,这样有助于启发学生的写作思路。考试时选择自己有把握的句子灵活地表达同一内容,减少失误,提高得分率。通过做汉译英练习,暴露出学生受母语影响的问题,对这些问题我及时进行讲评和纠正。这样,有利于培养和规范学生的英语表达能力。

三是结合课文进行各种体裁的写作训练。目前,信息来源的渠道多种多样,学生课文中有记叙、日记、通知、便条、书信、广告和说明等多种体裁,文中还有大量的插图,教师可利用图片让学生进行看图写作。要学好英语写作就必须从课文练起,从一些常见的文体练起,由短到长,由浅入深,循序渐进地进行。

四是通过背诵训练写作。培养学生的英语写作能力,以课文为中心训练写作能力非常重要,因为课文中的句子就是规范的英语范文。因此,每学完一篇课文或对话,教师就要要求学生背诵,然后默写。这样使学生把词语放在句型、段落、篇章中去理解、记忆和体味,以至于能够仿写、改写。

五是通过仿写和改写训练写作能力。仿写也是提高英语写作能力行之有效的方法,模仿写作中,格式、构思、表达方式等方面都可模仿。但要提醒学生注意灵活变通,语句要通顺,符合英语表达习惯。仿写前要从时态,句型,内容选材等方面对学生加以辅导,指导学生怎样模仿,特别提醒学生注意时态。

另外,改写也是一种很好的方法,改写就是对文章材料的文体、式样、句式等进行改编的一种训练方式。无论是改人称、改时态,还是改对话材料为叙述文字,这都有助于学生复习巩固所学知识,又能培养学生所学知识的迁移运用能力,还能起到提高学生的写作能力。

汶川大地震,给灾区的民众造成了巨大的身心痛苦,也使得地图上那样一个狭小的区域,成为全国人民最为牵挂的地方。所谓人命关天,在部分同胞受难之时,举国的悲恸充分表现了出来。国际社会也迅速表达了关切与慰问。

当一场大地震已经发生,而且余震不断,此时的关键词其实只剩下两个字,即“救”与“援”。某种意义上,“援”也是“救”的组成部分。毫无疑问,救灾已成为当前中国政府与民众最为重要的任务。

救灾救什么?这似乎是一个无须思考的问题。但事实上,救灾的真义必须得到厘清。救灾的第一要务,当为拯救生命。与生命相比,财产的损失与灾后的重建等都已经相对次要,或者说,包括抢救财产以及对于地震中出现问题的反思等,都应该退到“拯救生命”这一极端重要的议题之后。

在地震灾害现场指挥抢救的温家宝总理说过一句话,“只要有双手,家园就能重建”——这句话真切地诠释出了救灾的真义所在。换言之,这也是中国政府将救人作为首要任务的理念之源。正因为生命只有一次,无法以其他之物替代,故救灾者必须以最快的速度,以最大的努力,甚至不惜采取任何手段,“不惜任何代价”,拯救灾区民众的生命。

这意味着,以政府为主导的救援体系须将重心落在对生命的挽救上。随着时间的推移,伤亡数字也将会不断增加。数万人的生命安危,其实就是最严厉的灾情命令。只要有一线的希望,救援者就必须以百倍的努力,从废墟中寻找可能的生还者,从正在倒塌的建筑物中抢救出每一个生命。

应该看到,救灾不仅依赖信心、勇气与团结的精神,也依赖专业的救援队伍与技术配置。尽管人人都可为救灾尽力,但在一定条件下,救灾又是一个技术活,专业性强、风险度高、劳动量大。不能不提到,中国军人又一次发挥了“钢铁长城”的作用,在艰苦的救灾条件下,作战在灾区的精锐部队充分体现出了威武之师的雄风。年轻的中国军人在灾区救援的情景,确实令人深切地感到了血浓于水的鱼水深情。

将拯救生命视为压倒一切的首要任务,也意味着,救援者必须争分夺秒,与死神赛跑。那些废墟里奄奄一息的生命,正在急切地等待救助。“时间就是生命”的含义,在此时也得到了最真切地体现。救援者早一秒进入受灾地区,就能早抢救出一个生命。在震中地区交通不便甚至中断的情况下,温家宝总理要求救援队伍“就是步行也要尽快进入受灾最严重的地区”,突出强调了地震救援之时间概念的重要性。

还应该看到,地震救灾不仅仅是政府之事。如同面对以往任何一场重大自然灾害一样,在政府之力之外,拯救生命的行动,还依赖于民众与非政府机构众志成城。包括给予灾区人民的精神激励、物质的支持,以及包括积极献血等切实的行动等,均会对救援行动产生积极效果。汶川大地震发生之后,不少企业与个人,已开始紧急捐赠财物,运往最需要的地方。非灾区民众发出的祝福与鼓励,已让人充分感受到了温暖而坚定的民族力量。

倒叙式开头

倒叙式的写法有一些难写,并且在写作过程中很有可能出现时态混淆的问题,在此建议大家在写作过程中尽量不要倒叙式的方式,避免犯错。

开了一个好头之后,当然要开始写文章的主体部分了,那就是文章的正文。

文章的正文应以文章的开头为线索,具体地叙述、说明或论证文章的主题。文章不论长短,每个段落都必须为主题服务。像说明文和议论文这一类的文章,一个主题还常分成几个小主题,每个小主题要用一个段落处理,另起一段时,应是一层新的意思。每一段的开头,要放一个表示段落小主题的主题句,这样可使文章条理化,易于阅读,便于读者抓住主题。段内的所有句子应围绕主题句的意义加以阐述或论证,为中心思想服务。句子之间应衔结自然,有条不紊,而且还要合乎逻辑,段落中不能出现任何与主题无关的句子;英语写作比较重视主题句的作用,缺少它段落意义就会含糊不清。主题句也可放在段落的中间和末尾等部位,但对初学者来说,以放在段首为好。

在记叙文中,段的结构有时可以很简单,不需要有主题句,叙事一气呵成,中途没有停顿。段与段之所以分开,只是为了起修辞作用,以便把某一细节置于显著的地位。

分段是文章组织上重要的一步,在写一篇文章的时候,一般都会将文章分为3段,第一段也就是文章的开头,第二段是主体部分,第三段自然就是结尾了。当然也可以分成4段等,不管怎么分段,都请大家要记住,在写一篇作文的时候,一定不可以不分段。

接下来就是文章的结尾了,以下是一些写好结尾的方法

1.自然结尾,点明主题。随着文章的结束,文章自然而然地结尾。

如“Helping the Policeman(帮助警察)”的结尾可以是:The two children were praised by the police and they felt happy.

再如“The Tortoise and the Hare(龟兔赛跑)”的结尾可以是:When the hare got to the tree, the tortoise had already been there。

2.首尾呼应,升华主题。在文章的结尾可以用含义较深的话点明主题,深化主题,起到“画龙点睛”的效果。

如“I Love My Hometown(我爱家乡)”的结尾可以是:I love my hometown, and I am proud of it.

3.反问结尾,引起深思。这种方式的结尾虽然形式是问句,但意义却是肯定的,而且具有一定的强调作用,可引起他人的深思。

如 “Learning English can Give us a Lot of Pleasure (学英语能为我们带来许多乐趣)” 的结尾可以是:If we learn English well, we can …Don’t you think learning English is great fun?

4.表达祝愿,阐述愿望

这种方式的结尾常出现在书信或演讲稿的文体中,表示对他人的祝福或对将来的展望等。

英语教学方法策略读后感

为了提高自身的英语教学质量和效率,我从学校图书馆借来《英语教学方法与策略》一书,利用业余时间认真地进行了研读,获得了不少教益。

这本书由鲁子问和康淑敏两位专家编写,由华东师范大学出版社出版,可以作为英语教学设计方向研究生教材,也可以作为中小学英语教师设计培训教材使用。我认为在英语学科骨干教师研修班接受培训期间读读这样一本书是再合适不过的。这本书介绍了教学方法与教学策略的相同与差异,提出了教学方法与策略的选择与整合的方法,介绍了英语教学方法的实践操作方法,包括情景教学法、交际教学法、任务教学法和自主学习教学,然后分析了英语教学过程的策略及实践操作方法,并从英语知识教学的策略及实践操作方法、英语技能教学的策略及时间操作方法两方面对英语教学方法与策略的行动研究提供了系统的指导。

编者用六章分别讲了教学方法与教学策略、英语教学方法的实践操作、英语教学过程的策略及实践操作、英语知识教学的策略及实践操作、英语技能教学的策略及实践操作和英语教学方法与策略的行动研究。

该书对相关理论进行了系统、简要的讲解,主要的内容是对英语教学实践的指导与分析。每一节都采用“准备-学习-实践”三部式结构,不仅讲解理论,而且注重教学实践。在每一节的理论讲解之后,都设计了“实践分析”专栏,以强化理论与实践的直接联系。在看每一节的时候,我都是跟着该书的编排形式在不断地调整自己的思维。在准备环节,编者会给出一个案例,让读者思考,遇到此类教学问题该如何解决,此时,我的大脑就会回忆我在教学中有没有遇到过,我又是如何解决的,然后思考怎样才能解决得更好;在学习环节,编者给我们提供了最系统的理论知识,此时我就很认真地研读每一条理论,认真理解每一个概念,为今后的教学活动积累必要的理论知识;在实践部分,我仔细地看了每个实践活动,对于一些比较有价值的活动自己在教学中也尝试着使用。

本书的优点是:1)语言浅显易懂。不像平常的教育着作,带着很多专业术语。2)内容很实用。书中不但简要地介绍教育理论,还举出大量的课堂活动例子,很适合各个层次的外语教师参考。3)描述很细致。书中谈到英语教学中很多细节的东西。4)编排符合读者习惯,发人深思。书中每一章节都会在适当的位置上安排一个文本框,给出一些名词解释或让读者讨论或思考一个问题。如:请讨论,您如何看待Practice makes perfect.它与数量原则有什么关系?训练中如何把握训练的量?

这本书让我羞愧于自己在教学理论和策略方面知识的匮乏,更让我明白英语教学的成功应体现在“培养学习者在真实的情景中有效使用英语的能力”我是一个率性而为的人,很多时候只是随心而教学,不会严格遵循某一教学模式。所以一直以来,教学成绩都没有取得重大突破,而我本人也一直为此烦恼,这本书教会我许多有理论支持的教学方法。如:语法翻译法、直接教学法、认知法、自然法、社团教学法、沉默教学法、全身反应法、暗示教学法。从书中我悟到了想成为一名优秀的教师必须充分认识到“教必有法”的原则性和“教务定法”的灵活性特点之间的统一关系。教师不应拘于一法一策,囿于一方一圆,而是要因地制宜,因材施教,将各类方法加以组合和调配,在吸收、借鉴已有教学方法的基础上,创造性地发挥,逐步形成富有教师个人特色的教学风格。在教学实践中,我根据教学环境、教学目标、教学内容、学生的需求和自身的教学风格适丰富了一下教学方法和策略,收到了一定的效果。

我最受启发的是书中的如下观点:呈现学习任务时,应当向学习者描述任务中的问题发生的物理背景、组织和社会文化背景。并且,问题的呈现必然是有趣的或吸引人的,目的是引导学习者的积极参与。让学习者体现到伸手可及的成功;教学活动的设置应考虑学习者的兴趣,需要和情感;老师可以和学习者商量课堂活动的内容并建议学习者把他们感兴趣的学习材料带回班上。让我陷入长久的沉思的是这个观点:“personalities and relationships are important for motivation”即:教师的性格及其与学习者之间的良好关系在调动学习者学习方面很重要。文中提到“即使我们不能完全改变自己去满足不同学习者的需要,但我们可以主动了解学习者感兴趣的话题,如:流行音乐,年轻人喜欢的电影,新车,科技的发展等。看到这里,对于学生为什么没有积极参与我自以为精心准备的课堂活动,我似乎找到了答案:设计活动时,我只是从教材内容和个人兴趣出发。当学生冷淡对待活动时,我只会埋怨大的学习环境不好,埋怨学生不配合,极少去思考是否学生对内容感兴趣,是否活动的难度适合学生,课堂指令是否清晰等因素。文中还指出:即使学生会使用老师准备好的语言结构,也明确活动的目的,但如果他们缺乏信心,也不会积极参与…所以,对学生及时得体的鼓励相当重要,借用李阳老师的话就是鼓励学生 “Enjoy losing face. Enjoy making mistakes ”总之,要踏上英语教学的成功之路,进行方方面面的准备工作是必要的,

对于以后的教学,我将努力改变陈旧的教学理念,尝试新的教学模式,自始至终把学生放在中心位置:把激发学生的学习热情放在首位,发挥交际教学的优势。是时候改变沉闷的课堂气氛,还学生一个愉快的学习环境了!是时候彻底解放学生,还学生一个可以自主学习的空间了!

其实,单纯阅读只是一个浅层理解词句的过程,我们可能在阅读中很感动,很受启发,但是,几个星期或几个月后,可能我们的思维又回复原状;若把我们的所思所想写下来,联系我们的教学或生活实际加以变通,可能会更长久地影响我们;而如果把我们学到的经验及时应用在教学中或生活中,我们的学生或我们自己则会终身受益,这才是阅读的目的。“热爱阅读、高效阅读、创新阅读”让我们互勉!

1. 画龙点睛,一篇文章的开头很重要。

在通常情况下,英语句子的排列方式为“主语+谓语+宾语”,即主语一般都会在谓语前面。但若根据情况适当改变句子的开头方式,比如在文章的开始的时候写一些倒状语句或以状语为起始语句的开头,这样子的文章更具表现力和感染力。如:

(1) There stands an old temple at the top of the hill.

→ At the top of the hill there stands an old temple.

在小山顶上有一座古庙。

(2) You can do it well only in this way.

→ Only in this way can you do it well.

只有这样你才能把它做好。

(3) A young woman sat by the window.

2. 避免重复使用同一词语

为了使表达更生动,更富表现力,同学们在写作时应尽量避免重复使用同一词语来表示同一意思,尤其是一些老生常谈的词语。如有的同学一看到“喜欢”二字,就会立刻想起like,事实上,英语中表示类似意思的词和短语很多,如 love, enjoy, prefer, appreciate, be fond of, care for等。如:

I like reading while my brother likes watching television.

→ I like reading while my brother enjoys watching television.

我喜欢看书,而我的兄弟却喜欢看电视。

3. 合理使用省略句

合理恰当地使用省略句,不仅可以使文章精练、简洁,而且会使文章更具文采和可读性。如:

(1) He may be busy. If he’s busy, I’ll call later. If he is not busy, can I see him now?

→ He may be busy. If so, I’ll call later. If not, can I see him now?

他可能很忙,要是这样,我以后再来拜访。要是不忙,我现在可以见他吗?

(2) If the weather is fine, we’ll go. If it is not fine, we’ll not go.

→ If the weather is fine, we’ll go. If not, not.

如果天气好,我们就去;如果天气不好,我们就不去了。

(3) She could have applied for that job, but she didn’t do so.

→ She could have applied for that job, but she didn’t.

4. 适当运用非谓语结构

非谓语结构通常被认为是一种高级结构,适当运用非谓语结构,会给人一种熟练驾驭语言的印象。如:

5. 结合使用长句与短句

在英语写作中,过多地使用长句或过多地使用短句都不好。正确的做法是,根据实际情况在文章中交替使用长句与短语,使文章显得错落有致,这样不仅使文章在形式上增加美感,而且使文章读起来铿锵有力。如:

At noon we had a picnic lunch in the sunshine. Then we had a short rest. Then we began to play happily. We sang and danced. Some told stories. Some played chess.
