中国近代正在飞速发展：从2008年在北京举行的奥运会到2010年在广州举办的亚运会，见证了中国经济发展的速度；我国的科技发展更是值得一提，“嫦娥一号”、“神舟一号”、“天宫一号”等飞船已经陆续发射上太空，中国的科技已经名列前茅，中国正在不断强大、发扬起来！中国，这条东方的巨龙已经在黑暗中散发万丈光芒，一座座高楼拔地而起；凹凸不平的小路消失了，取之而代的是一条条沥青马路。。。。。。

我看着祖国伟大的成就，看着祖国火箭般的发展，由衷的觉得，我们作为21世纪新时代的少年，应该努力学习，接过革命先辈的接力棒，挑起建设祖国的重任，让祖国日益强大起来！

当时间曾凝聚在1949年10月1日，当巍峨的华表披上曙光，当雄伟的天安门迎来新一轮的太阳，当无数先烈用鲜血染红的五星红旗在天安门广场冉冉升起，伟大的领袖毛主席洪亮的声音传遍了全世界：中华人民共和国成立了!中国人民从此站起来了!这一时刻，对于一个饱经忧患、受尽欺凌的民族来说是多么宝贵啊!

古老的东方有一个全身珠光宝气，雍容华贵的女子，盘古开天辟地、四大发明、老子孔子、丝绸瓷器、威武的兵马俑使她光彩照人。她的美让人羡慕万分。但是掀开摞摞发黄的历史，我们看到的又是怎样的一幕呢?指针急速飞转，时间指向了1840年，外国列强纷纷加入了掠夺中国财富的战争。鸦片战争、甲午战争、中法战争以及八国联军火烧圆明园……贪婪的侵略者几乎掠去了美丽女子所有的珍宝。贪婪的侵略者让她明白了落后就会挨打这个道理。她没有沉默，而是选择了反抗，在这片千万年古老的土地上留下了多少可歌可泣的抗敌故事。

从古至今，祖国涌现出无数爱国者，他们把祖国、民族的利益看得高于一切，把个人的命运同祖国民族的命运紧紧地联系在一起。精忠报国的岳飞、收复台湾的郑成功、中国革命的先驱者孙中山、两弹一星的邓稼先等等……无数仁人志士以铁本文来自莆田生活网的事实抒写了一曲曲爱国之歌。 终于……终于……第一面五星红旗在天安门广场上冉冉升起了，那让人耻辱的东亚病夫的帽子终于被我们抛掉了，我们伟大的祖国开始实现重整河山的梦想。1964年，第一颗原*爆炸，我的祖国开始走向繁荣，走向富强;紧接着，中国大地上又升起了另一朵美丽的白云，氢弹成功爆炸。1978年，改革开放，我的祖国引来了全世界羡慕的目光;1997年，东方之珠香港回归了;1999年，澳门的炎黄子孙也唱着“七子之歌”回到了祖国母亲的怀抱;2001年，我的祖国申奥成功，并且从此加入了世贸组织;2003年10月15日，太空中第一次出现了中国人的身影。这一切足以证明，我的祖国是一条正在腾飞的巨龙。

中华人民终于可以重新扬眉吐气了。

但是，我们应该明白，作为一名学生，我们就是未来强大祖国的建设者，总有一天，前辈们会把他们手中的接力棒满怀憧憬地递给我们，我们要有能力去接受这份艰巨而光荣的任务。

In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

圆明园是一座举世闻名的皇家园林，由圆明园，长春园，万春园组成。圆明园不但建筑雄伟，还珍藏着最珍贵的历史文物。可这一切却早已不复存在。1860年10月6日，英法联军侵入北京闯入圆明园，他们把园内能拿的通通掠走，拿不动的就用大车或牲口搬，实在拿不走的，就肆意破坏焚烧毁掉。我国这一园林艺术的瑰宝就这样毁于一旦。在我们新中国成立之前受到的屈辱远远不止这些，可在邓爷爷的领导下我们国家实行了改革开放，各个方面逐渐和国际接轨，吸收新的资源，这样使我们国家和人民逐渐富强起来，如今的我们已成为了一个令世界瞩目的发展中的经济强国！

税收结构的变化！军事实力的上升！人民的生活水平正在逐渐提高。从以前用书信通话到了现在人人一部手机，从以前饥一顿饱一顿的状态到如今城市的小康之家，从以前的着装单一到现在随时随地的和时尚同行。等等等等。这些都可以证明我国正处于飞速发展中。

And in August 2007,I left QingDao to BeiJing and worked for a foreign enterprise as a automation software test engineer.Because I want to change my working environment, Id like to find a job which is more challenging. But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness,but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation.When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words.When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese…

I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London,because it is the birth place of English.

I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.

I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.

I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!

正如每个人所知，英语在今天十分重要。它已经被应用到世界的各个角落。它已经成为商业上最为通用的一门语言并广泛的用于国际贸易。如果我们能说好英语，我们就有更多的机会成功。因为越来越多的人注意到这一点，学英语的人数正在已很高的速度增长。

但是对我而言，我学英语不仅仅因为它的重要性以及它的实用性，更是因为我喜爱英语。当我学英语时，我可以体会到一种不同的思维方式，它可以给我更多接触世界的空间。当我读英语小说时，我能感受到不同于阅读翻译文的快乐。当我说英语时，我可以感到自信。当我写英语时，我能够感到不同于汉语的那种美……

我爱英语，它给了我一个色彩斑斓的梦。我希望有朝一日我可以畅游世界，用我流利的英语，我可以和世界各地的人交友。我能看到许多的名胜。我希望我能够到伦敦去，因为那里是英语的故乡。

我也希望用我流利的英语来将我们的名胜介绍给说英语的朋友，我希望他们可以像我们一样的爱我们的国家。

我知道，罗马不是一天筑成的。(成功需要日积月累。)我相信在持续不断的努力学习下，总有一天我可以拥有一口流利的英语。

如果你想被爱，你就应该学着去爱他人。所以我相信我对英语的爱定将换来它对我的爱。

我相信总有一天我会实现我的梦!

当我们满怀激情地唱起《中华人民共和国国歌》时，当我们向前辈们用鲜血染红的五星红旗敬礼时，当我们听前辈说起中国曾经受过的屈辱时，心中都会无比激动。中国有蜿蜒壮观的万里长城，有世界上最高的珠穆朗玛峰，可中国还有一些不堪回首的屈辱往事。1840年，英国就向中国发起了鸦片战争，中国战败，被迫签订了丧权辱国的《南京条约》，此后法国，德国，意大利，日本等，都纷纷强迫中国政府签订一系列不平等条约。

在残酷的战争中，很多英雄人物为了中国能够日渐强大，不惜牺牲自己的生命。狼牙山五壮士为了掩护大部队安全转移，与敌人斗智斗勇，在大部队安全转移后，为了不让日本人获取情报，相继跳下山崖；共产党员赵一曼，被日军俘虏，仍不屈服，日军暴跳如雷，砍去了赵一曼的右臂还让她背上千斤重的铁链，在日军的种种折磨下，她最终死亡，年终时31岁。这些英雄人物，为了中国的未来，将自己的生命置之度外，我们才可以在这么好的环境下读书，工作，学习。我们现在一定要好好学习，将来为了祖国尽自己的一份绵薄之力。同学们，让我们同心协力，共同创造美好的未来。我的演讲到此结束，谢谢大家。

Our great motherland is one of the largest countries in the world. It has a population of over twelve hundred million. Beijing is its capital.

We Chinese people are brave and hardworking. We have a glorious revolutionary tradition. We drove out all the enemies. In 1949 the Peoples Republic of China was founded. Since then great changes have taken place in our motherland. Now our country is getting stronger and stronger. We Chinese people are working hard to make our motherland into a powerful country.

Ladies and Gentlemen , Good afternoon! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
