I used to be fond of skating. But now things have changed because of a horrible experience.

One winter, the weather was so cold that water turned into ice. One day on my way home, when seeing a frozen lake, I thought that the ice must be thick enough to support me. Being so interested in skating, I couldnt help going down and sliding on the ice. Suddenly, I heard a sound of crack. Looking down, I saw the crack on the ice surface. Pressure seems to be a natural part in our daily life in this competitive

society. Like it or not there is always pressure of one kind or another. And it

seems there is hardly any way to avoid it or get rid of it. Moreover, as the

pace of modern life continues to quicken, pressure seems to be on the increase

all the time.

Different people have different ideas about pressure. Some hold that

pressure is something very vicious. If there is too much of it, it will lead to

the decline of ones physical and mental health. So they are always complaining

about it or trying to flee from it. They think, only relaxation, the opposite of

pressure, is what we should desire. On the other hand, others argue that

pressure is not as bad as is often thought. In fact a certain amount of pressure

is essential to provide motivation and meaning to our life. It is pressure that

propels our progress and contributes to our success.

Personally, Im in favor of the latter idea. I believe that a little

pressure is certainly an important incentive in life. It is only when the

pressure gets out of control can it lead to poor performance and bad health.

Since it is impossible to avoid pressure, certainly there is no sense trying to

The Jacksons spend their happy time on Sundays. They get up early in the morning. After breakfast, they go to church. There they meet a lot of people. They like to talk with them.

After they leave the church, the Jacksons go to the park. They go boating happily. Then it is time to have lunch. They have a picnic under the tree. After lunch the children begin to fly kites while the couples are fishing by the lake.

In the afternoon the children play on the lawn while Mr. and Mrs. Jockson are walking in the park. They enjoy themselves.

They spend almost the whole day in the park.

今年我参加了小记者的选拔，很荣幸地成为了一名小记者，每个星期六都会去做一些采访。在这期间，我认识了很多人，结识了很多朋友，也学会了怎样与别人沟通、交流。让我感受最深的是这次“传媒之星”的评选了。我从初赛、复赛，可以说是一路过关斩将，经历了激动、紧张的心情，终于进入了决赛。在决赛的前一天，我听老师对妈妈说我明天要参加决赛时，我的心情十分高兴，而又很紧张。我心想：“这次要是得奖了，就能为学校、班级、父母争光，也能为自己增加荣誉。

第二天，我早早地起了床，让爸妈把我整理干净，就出发了。车子开得飞快，不一会儿我们就到了比赛现场。时间一点点地流逝，在门外等待的选手也越来越多。终于到十点了，大门才缓缓地打开，选手们都一个劲地往里面挤。我也跟着大家，领了号码牌，找了个座位坐下。比赛终于开始了，选手们都精心打扮地很漂亮。他们有的唱歌，有的跳舞，有的朗诵，还有的拉琴……。

终于轮到我上场了。我先做了流利的自我介绍：“大家好，我叫姚傲立，来自万丰小学四年级二班。我今天……”。然后，我表演了跆拳道，最后把爸爸拿上来的木板踢破了。在我踢破木板的片刻，我赢得了观众的喝彩，也赢得了评委的好评，我的内心才松了一口气。最后，主持人公布了选手们的成绩。分时九点七五分，最低分是八点九九分，我则是九点二八分，看来这可真是卧虎藏龙啊!

那一天，我领悟到了：“只有心静、做什么事都认真去做才能成功。”我听评委说分的那名选手是因为心静才成功的。加油自己，向成功努力奋斗吧!
