人和自然是地球上的“两大家族”，按辈分说，自然是人类的长辈。可如今，人类并非以晚辈之礼对待着这位哺育着自己成长的长辈。

几亿年前，自然母亲哺育出了恐龙，它们体型庞大，所向披靡，没有任何动物是它们的对手，在三叠纪、侏罗纪和白垩纪独占鳌头。但是由于它们的贪婪、狡猾、自私，尤其是食肉恐龙，更为贪婪，甚至不把自然母亲放在眼里，根本不听从她的管辖。于是，自然母亲创造了海啸、地震、龙卷风、火山喷发等多种灾害。强大的恐龙军队毕竟没有抵抗这些灾难的能力，最终被时间的推移逐渐埋没，直至消失。恐龙灭绝后，自然母亲也就收回了这些可怕的灾害。

我是如何养成这个好习惯的呢?那，还有一段经历呢!刚刚转到光明小学时，我的作文水平并不高，妈妈发现了这个情况后，为我定购了大量的书籍，并规定我每天要读3篇美文佳作。唉，母命难违，我只好囫囵吞枣地开始读，结果妈妈却说不认真读的不算，我没办法，又气急败坏读了起来……就这样一天又一天，我迷上了阅读，没有书的日子简直像世界末日一样。

培根说:“读书足以怡静,足以博采,足以长才。”说明阅读是增长知识的最佳途径。曾有位学者也提到：“读一本好书好比是与一个高尚的人对话。”

阅读，可以使人增长见闻，每天一篇好文章已令你的学问增添不少。

阅读，更可以帮你解闷，当你十分郁闷的时候，可以读书，看看文章，就可以助你陶养性情。

除此之外，你还可以找不同种类的书来阅读，例如：惊险刺激的侦探小说、有关历史的四大名著等。阅读科幻小说，可以把自己当作其中的主角，进入书中的情节，让思维插上想象的翅膀飞翔。阅读一些有关旅游的书籍犹如身临其境，到了世界各地……

阅读不但可以怡静、博采、长才，而且是增加知识的不二法门，所以大家应该每天抽点时间阅读。不过，马克.吐温说过:“习惯就是习惯,谁也不能将其扔出窗外,只能一步一步地引下楼.”习惯是慢慢养成的,大家可不要想着一步登天哦!

在上学的路上，我们看见有人在路上乱扔垃圾，乱吐口痰，我们应该教给他方法：吐在纸巾里，然后扔进垃圾桶。我们更不能学人家，一定要把“保护环境”时刻记在心里，并体现在行动中，从我做起，从小事做起。

我相信，通过大家的努力，环境会变得越来越好，地球“妈妈”也会变得更加美丽。
